The 'Glory of the Hero' Thread

Glory of the Hero is the achievement that you obtain when you complete all the heroic WotLK dungeon achievements. I'm probably stating the obvious but the cool thing about this is that you get a flying mount when you have finished them all: the Red Proto Drake.

I'm pretty close to completing my Glory of the Hero. I just need four more achievements at the moment: Chaos Theory, Zombiefest, Ruby Void and Emerald Void -- respectively in heroic Nexus, Culling of Stratholme, and Oculus. What I'm suggesting is setting up some sort of group to do a couple of heroic achievements together (it's a common fact that role-players are more mellow than other players hur hur). I wouldn't mind helping out with a couple of other achievements either, seeing I still need some emblems and whatnot.

Anyway, if you are interested in this leave a message here! And if some people over at the Alliance have the same need for this kind of thing, feel free to use this thread to make arrangements.

You probs already know, but here's some tips:

Zombiefest you need to kite the second boss to the room where arthas discovers the infinite dragonflight, kill all zombies that follow BEFORE you kill him, then carry on til the firey zone, then the tank runs back, picks up all the adds from the start, runs back and you aoe em down with the zombies in the firey part

Ruby Void and Emerald void can both be attained at the same time, use the Amber drakesx4 and leave a healer to stand on the platform, make sure he/she can heal you all and its simple as channeling, dpsing and planning who does the stun during his berserk

I still miss The Incredible Hulk, Zombiefest and Better off Dred. Won't be online today, but other times I'm up for these. (I can heal or dps)

Of course, if I don't have any other business, I'm glad to help groups with other achievements too.

Edit: I've downed Oculus with full Amber Drake group, with no one healing. We needed to be quite precise with time stops and I think more than one people died, but it no one thought to think of having a healer on a platform. xD
So, it'll prolly be thousand times easier with your method.

I 3manned the Zombiefest one with a resto shammy, myself(Unholy death knight) and another unholy death knight.

I swapped on PVP gear and tanked (resto shammy was good), and we killed the 3 first bosses. After the third boss went down, I went back to the start of the house and they went to the start of the gauntlet.

Now, since most abilities WILL oneshot ANY zombies you hit with them, it is advised you get a plate class (tank preferable) to kite them, using their taunt ability to round up any zombies that may not follow him automatically.

Important note: Atleast for a DPS, even in plate armor and frost presence+all my mitigation cooldowns, you CAN NOT afford to let the zombies catch up with you once you get the first half aggroed. They hit for 5-700 each and you're supposed to be kiting no less than 86 zombies. That's in the range of 40k-70k damage per swing if the mass of them catches up. I've found a death knight excellent for the kiting though, as DnD will kill any zombies within 2 ticks, and I can pop Army of the Dead to make sure no zombies jump on me when the mass gets too big.

Whenever I start killing my mass of zombies, the DK and the shammy(that had specced enh by now) would start killing zombies in the gauntlet to finish the last bit of kills needed. DK popped Army of the Dead and they focused solely on zombies ignoring any elite trash mobs.

I found it quite easy.

I didn't know that way either. I've always done it with 5x Amber Drakes. Just time your timestops right. 2-3 secs in the fight, first timestop. after that, 2nd timestop. he phases away, run away. timestop when you get backnext timestop if needed. should be dead by then. just need to know how2amber instead of the usual "just spam something, it's dps anyway".

I need to get Glory of the Ulduar and Icecrown Raider 10 finished, Still in need of Heartbreaker, I could say that Cache was rare, Orbit-uary, Firefighter, HC Blood council, HC Frost wing, HC Putricide, All you can eat and Been waiting a long time for this

thats craziness, rogues are <3, TotT to help aggro, lots of stuns and kick for things like Less-rabi, high dps etc.

People still seem to rather other classes incase they screw up and need an off-spec healer.

I've been replaced by a druid before because 'healing was their off-spec'.
