The devastating war between the Horde and the Alliance that broke the continent of Pandaria is over. The beast Garrosh Hellscream has been quelled, his Kor'kron subjugated, and the Sunwalkers and Darkspear have largely seized the advance of horde troops on Pandarian soil. But at what cost? Many innocent Pandaren, peaceful denizens of the land, are now without homes. Families torn apart, loyalties shifting. Adults and Cubs taken from their Jade Forest homes to fuel the war machine.
The Alliance has a lot to make up for.
The Band of the Brave will set sail for Pandaria, on a mission to help these innocent souls, these unwilling victims of a war that was not theirs. They come to help them rebuild, to secure their homes and territories. To vanquish what evils still linger in their forests and hills, and... Make a bit of a profit on the side.
It is time to show Pandaria that the Alliance has more to offer then sowing destruction and misery!
On the 31st of March, the Band of the Brave will start it's biggest adventure yet. We will set sail to Lion's Landing in the Karasang Wilds, and from there make a slow trek across the continent, offering a helping hand where they can, and taking what ancient treasures they can find.
Our journey will take us across almost all pivotal locations in Pandaria. We will pay homage to the story of Mists, sometimes re-living certain aspects, sometimes reminiscing on them, and sometimes expanding on them. When we reach a new province we will choose a location to make our base and run events from that location, until we've exhausted all interesting event material, and move on. We anticipate we'll spend at least a week in every province we attend, with a bit more time spent in the Jade Forest because of it's humongous size, and wealth of content to explore.
After a guild meeting to discuss what sites and places to visit, Glorious Leader Wellsworth has drawn up a rough sketch of the route we intend to take. Of course, this is all subject to change as our adventure progresses!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
We invite other guilds and players to come join us for parts of the journey! Perhaps you've got something you want to add! Maybe you have a villain that is desperate for some heroes to thwart. Maybe you've got a local Pandaren character you're just itching to play, but never get a chance!
If any of that strikes your fancy, or you think it might be a cool opportunity for your guild, leave a message in this thread or send me a personal message, and we'll talk about working together on something.
Happy Adventuring!
IMPORTANT:
Level 85 will generally be sufficient to participate, but level 90 with some measure of pvp gear is strongly advised.
Characters below level 85 are too low level to join on this quest.

Designed by me, animated by our very own Rinoi. I'm very happy with it, it looks so incredibly cool. Swooosh!Gerard/Gramot wrote:Btw, nice logo thingie you got there. ^^
We won't be contacting anyone actively to come join us. We're a pretty self-sustaining group, with characters of every specialization. This thread is about letting all of you guys know that we'll be role-playing in Pandaria, and that we think it's really cool if other groups or people want to come out there as well to create broader, more varied plots.Eldiros wrote:If you need some grumpy old gandalfs to assist you, please approach us IC! we'll be glad to organize something!
So if you (and your guild) want to come out there to Pandaria, we can hook you up with some company. It's all about making the place feel more lively with role-players for a time.
Absolutely. In what capacity would you like to join?Rhia \"Shadow" Nyoma wrote:Permission to join you on your adventure?

Preferably as a freelancer, to learn about the wildlife and people ect of pandaria. Kinda like a hunter/scout role mixed in with a researcher role. I could contact you in game?

The Band of the Brave has arrived in Pandaria, making landfall in Lion's Landing. Over the coming days, we will be exploring the Krasarang Wilds! Fight what Kor'kron cronies remain, visit the partly ruined Temple of the Red Crane, and do what we can to help the local fishermen get back on their feet after the Horde and the Alliance savaged and polluted their fishing waters.

Re: Hero's Call: Pandaria.
Our Pandarian adventure is well under way! The Band has settled in Lion's Landing while they explore the Krasarang Wilds. Between fighting a bunch of Garrosh-worshipping pirate monkeys (Dook'tar Ogar!) the Braves stumbled upon a quest of great importance...
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] The Temple of Hope.
In the Krasarang Wilds lies the Temple of the Red Crane, a place revered by the people of Pandaria for it's message of hope. When the Band of the Brave arrived there to marvel at it's wonder, they found it in a decrepit state. Echos of the sha of despair had taken over it's hallowed grounds! Determined to deck the halls with smites of glory, they fought their way all the way down into the inner sanctum.
It was there that they found a single Pandaren, stricken with grief, dark echos of the sha bubbling around him. Overcoming their own despair, the braves summoned forth the creature that plagued him and destroyed it, freeing the Pandaren of it's destructive influence.
In his gratitude, the Pandaren gifted the heroes with a very special artifact, one said to have been kept safe by the Acolytes of the Red Crane until a group of exceptional people would come to them, worthy of the power locked within. But... They had long forgotten it's purpose.
The artifact is a thick round metal slab, with one protruding triangular end. It bares an image of the Red Crane on it, crafted from the finest noble stone.

What secrets does this mysterious artifact hold? Time will tell...

Re: Hero's Call: Pandaria.
A buzzing rumor starts to spread through the valley of the four winds that a group of adventurers as colorful as a Halfhill banquet is staying at one of the farms in the heartlands. They're there to "lend a hand", they say! Like any Pandaren farmer worth his turnips can't take care of themselves... But hey, it's nice to have company!
It is said the Blooming Lotus has payed them a visit. Greetings exchanged, talks had over bonfires and a shiny, mysterious artefact.
It is a mogu creation, some say.
A gift from the celestials!
The adventurers stole it from the temple of the Red Crane!
No, it was given to them!
It is part of an ancient puzzle, some say.
It will bring doom to Pandaria!
It will lead to an ancient treasure!
I bet it's a recipe for a killer stew!
The mystery only grows.
The adventure continues! /join Pandaria to get in touch with the Band of the Brave, Freelancers, Blooming Lotus and other allies role-playing in Pandaria for a quick hookup.

The Band of the Brave and a Blooming Lotus official investigated the legendary library in the Temple of the Jade Serpent, looking for clues to solve the mystery of the artifact that they were given at the temple of the Red Crane.
After searching the dusty shelves, going through books and giant, wall-spanning scrolls, one in particular caught the eye...
A disciple of the Jade Serpent told the Band to travel down the Windspire Bridge, to meet someone called "Old Man Riverpaw". Supposedly, this man will be able to help them on their quest...

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Temple of Wisdom Part 2: Old Man Riverpaw.
An odd group of adventurers, consisting of Pandaren from Tian Monestary, Brave Adventurers and Royal Explorers, ascended the long winding Windspire Brdige to meet with the illusive Riverpaw. When they arrived at the spire, they where greeted by a friendly old man. Together they sat in the grass, enjoyed the salty wind and the spectacular view. When the old man brought out a tray of freshly brewed tea, the adventurers noticed something curious. That tray looked awfully familiar.
It was the second seal of the Hoardmaster's vault!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The old man was surprised by the adventurer's interest in his tray. How peculiar to get so excited over such a mundane thing! He explained that, a few days ago, a playful pair of cloud serpent younglings had taken his tray, and that he now used the artifact as his tea tray for lack of an alternative. He said that if the Adventurers where to bring back his old tray, they could have the artifact.
And so the adventurers set off to the Windless Isle, where cloud serpents make their nests. There they found a duo of younglings playing catch with the desired tray, accompanied by a matriarch. They took turns trying to negotiate with the animals, but they did not understand. Eventually, a dog's squeaky toy was produced, and once the younglings got a hold of it, they forgot all about the tray that brought them such joy. It was left on the ground for the Adventurers to collect.
Back on the Windward Spire, the group was greeted by Old Riverpaw... And a cloud serpent matriarch with her two young, playing catch with a squeaky toy. Riverpaw explained that it had all been a ruse - A test of wisdom, to see if the adventurers could solve a problem not by brawn and blade, but by wits alone.
After delivering the Seal of Yu'lon to the Adventurers, Old Riverpaw let them know that at the two remaining temples, an priest will be waiting for them, each with another test...
And another seal.
---
Many thanks to everyone who attended, from the Band of the Brave, Freelancers and Blooming Lotus!
The adventure continues next week, in the Kun-Lai mountains...

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] The Temple of Strength.
In search of the 3rd seal, a group of adventurers from Blooming Lotus, Band of the Brave and Freelancers made their way down to the Temple of the White Tiger. There, an acolyte was already waiting for them.
To earn the seal, they would have to ascend to the peak of Mount Neverest, carrying a jade flame. Where the flame to die, they would fail. Where they to leave one of them behind, they would fail. If they reached the peak, they where to light a brazier with the jade flame, to signal their success.
Shortly after they started ascending the mountain side, strange things started happening. The adventurers found their worst fears materialized, trying to frighten them into turning back. But the adventurers pressed on...
The longer a single person would hold the torch, the heavier it became. The heavier it became, the weaker the flame...
It became a relay-race to the top!
But the top they reached, the brazier they lit, and the Seal of the White Tiger was earned.

Tomorrow, the Blooming Lotus will guide the adventurers into the Townlong Steppes, to venture to the Temple of the Black Ox.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] The Temple under siege!
Tonight, Ju-Sin of the Blooming Lotus guided the Adventurers of the Band of the Brave and a Freelancer past the gates to the Townlong Steppes, to make their way to the Temple of Niuzao. They found it under siege by swarming Mantid and hulking insectoids!
They where told that their timing could not have been worse. There would not be a trial of the Black Ox, not today. The priests of the temple cut the Adventurers a deal: If they would be able to collapse the tunnels these mantid where coming from, they would be given the fourth seal.
And so the adventurers set off into the surrounding area, armed with bombs. Many a tunnel was blown up and collapsed, before a swarm hostess showed her spotted back and tried to drive the adventurers out to protect her swarm.
With clever maneuvering, the adventurers managed to blow a hole in her carapace and put a bomb inside, obliterating the vile creature. When the dust had settled, the swarm scattered to lick their wounds, waiting for another day to attack.
In their gratefulness, the Temple of Niuzao offered the Adventurer's it's Seal.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Tomorrow, the Adventurers will combine the seals and look for the Vault of the Hoardmaster.
The final trial ahead will test their mettle like no challenge before.
It is try or die.
