..Had to get that out of my system, them socialists are getting to my head.
Says the 17 year old.
What's that supposed to mean? That I'm supposed to be happy about socialism? Hell naw.
Just saying that it's not that credible to hate on socialism when you're still at an age where you've pretty much been given everything you've got in your life, in a good amount of european countries.
Depends, some teenagers are precocious enough to understand both.
Sadly most are sheep who just continue to beleive whatever their parents told them as gospel and will continue to do so for the rest of their pathetic little lives without every actually doing some research into it of their own. Amount of people in Britain especially that vote based entirely on who their parents voted for without doing 10 minutes study is a pure example as to why democracy DOESN'T WORK!
If I can make everyone do one thing, it will be to actually have opinions and beliefs on their own, without influence from family, from school or from local community/society. But most people are too dumb to expect that to ever happen.
That's my rant over.

GOD DAMN WIRELESS!!
Stupid thing can't even last through a page and a half without needing to be reloaded again! I crashed a good load of times during my raid tonight and, damnit, once is already too much. It was only heroic 25 LK but damnit! If I'm gonna wipe, I'm gonna do it WITHOUT a stupid disconnect!
Thank geebus I'm finally getting an ethernet cable...

Re: The vent thread
Out of interest, what wireless devices are you using and what version of Windows?
I had similar problems with Windows 7 when I first had it (Soon after release) where all the drivers for my wireless kit basically didn't work for any data that had to be split into too many packets, so any long term connection. I updated all the drivers and not a problem since.

Just gonna quote this for the god damn truth. Said it better than I ever could.
Also RAGE about me being unable to beat my sister's score of like 75k on Robot Unicorn Attack because she used an old laptop where the lack of framerate boosts her chances a lot. Having started it again on my computer I now crash anywhere from 10k-15k ._. I guess I gotta go into a couple hours of practice every day for this...

Re: The vent thread
I get annoyed with people who decides to "hate socialism" or "hate conservatism" just because they think it's cool. If people spent some time reading up on history they might instead make their own opinion.
It's usually rather easy to break them in a debate though as they don't know anything about anything.

Re: The vent thread
Well, let me just say a few words about this whole socialism thing, yes, I got most of the things I own from my parents, so? They worked hard for the ability to be able to buy these things for their children, they took risks, they made sacrifices, I made sacrifices too, in a way.
At home, politics never was much of an issue, and by the time it became a talking subject (largely due to my interests in it, I think) I had already developed myself as being more right-wing than both my parents who were center-right and left-wing (yes, a socialist), respectively. I developed myself due to observations from what I find to be fair, through observing how much power and employee wields, unemployment aid. Nowadays my parents are both comfortably right-wing, not as much as I am, but they're liberals now (and before someone says right-wing isn't liberal, economically speaking the definition liberal is applicable to right-wing in my country).
I don't hate socialism because it's 'cool' no, not at all, I've spend hours studying the rise of socialism and with it pretty much the fall of liberalism in my country, I know why socialism arose and I understand, that was liberalism gone too far, there needs to be some regulation but what socialism wants is too much. There needs to be some unemployment aid, but as presently constituted I think it goes a bit too far, not to mention the position of the employee in a company, it's an abomination.
Don't even let me get into the rhetoric used by some socialists in my country..
So yeah, it's not because I got influenced by my parents, it's not that I know nothing of socialism or whatever, I developed into this on my own.

I'm using Vista with a NETGEAR WG111v3 dongle. Blarg!
There's no driver 'updates' for this thing, which is stupid.

Antistia, I know few about dutch politics, do you mean the Labour Party or the Socialist Party (those with the tomato as their symbol)?

Without going into a debate on your political views since this is not the place. But the quoted statement (if you're still living in the netherlands) Is simply put wrong.
Being right wing doesn't mean you're a liberal. see: PVV.
and neither does being a liberal mean you're right wing. see: D66.
Find out which points you think are fundamentally important. Don't read into the media propaganda. and in a year when we're all allowed to vote again, read through the political programs. and don't just vote by proxy due to a label is slapped on it.

Pretty much both, I dislike Labour too though they're more moderate, but I see absolutely no good coming from the Socialist Party. The rhetoric of the Labour party, in my mind, is quite false too. "Sharing fairly" sure, I can understand they want to share the wealth but sharing is a two way street, you can't just take away from the rich and give to the poor, the rich should get something too, preferably with regards to being able to fire an employee on the spot (but that might just be me, growing up alongside my parents' company in a way where I always listened in on what was happening made me find that it is unfair as presently arranged)

Yes, I agree, it was very, very bad wording on my part (if not plain wrong as you said, note to self: reread before posting), and I know what is most important for me, economic policy Which is why I'd vote VVD.
Anyway, I agree this is not the place for a political discussion, I only felt that I was being misjudged so defensive instincts took over

With such a lame Wiki article it's normal that you dutch have this opinion. Ah, I see, and yes, the Dutch wiki article is lame, it's a big problem with Dutch wikipedia in my mind it is way too short in many cases, which is why I tend to use the English wikipedia more often.
So, in that light, and to return to the topic, fuuu Dutch wikipedia contributors, I'm thankful for what you do but don't slack D:
