I deteste with a horrible passion fucking professors that can't even understand basic fucking safety rules and fucking common sense and have the an inkling of time to think logically from their dwindling and fleeting egotistical and arrogant fucking minds... fucking seriously. Making a Long story fucking short.
I work at a start-up company located on a campus as an engineer/chemist.
So i'm busy, doing my work in a small dedicated lab, which is a whole 16square meters, filled with hoods, firecases,and other lovely equipment. which leaves around 5square meters of working space left... and this fucking oogling college proffesor comes barging in with half a dozen of his students into a fucking place, those students won't be fucking working anyway the whole year... and those fucking students fucking know it, the professor fucking knows it... but still they barge in... not wearing any fucking safety glasses nor fucking labcoats. While i'm fucking in there working with 97% Sulfuric acid... ready to make it into H2SO5 to do some gold etching... suffice it to say... that's an extremely fucking concentrated acid.

and what happens next is just... indescribable... Fuck me... fucking fuckers. bottom line. the fuckers are fucking around like a children in a candy factory and end up bumping into me... a 5 liter bottle of sulfuric acid falls on the ground spattering all over the mother fucking place... students fucking panick... professor scatches his head. one stupid idiotic silly wide-eyed dude with stupid spikes in his sheepish head got a bunch of it sprayed on his fucking arm.... I got the shit all over my pants and my shoos... and they've just ruined my 4 day during fucking experiment...

So now i'm sitting in my office, pantless and shoeless.... writing this lovely reply on my rant... and i'm about to spend the next hour handwashing my pants and shoes, so i can actually get home in hole filled clothing and I can now buy some new fucking shoes...

Sadly no surprise. A lot of (science) professors and lecturers are only there for research and they live in their own fucking bubbles.

The shit we dealt with in Chemistry with their "ideas" was immense.

4 or 5 flasks full of picric acid (a sound sensitive explosive) found in a cupboard (I had to get the MoD to take it for controlled disposal...). Strychnine found in vials (with little handwritten old nametags) thrown in a box along with (amongst other things) two broken leaking thermometers, "stored" in a sideroom in a lab. People who STILL used to eat (or even fucking smoke... seriously) in their offices or labs. When working with stuff of terrible strength and toxicity.

And these people would love to "show people around" with no regard for others. Let alone for safety.

Jup, i deal with that shit weekly, heck.. I have my own storage places for my chemicals, glass ware and everything, since the public stuff is either too fucking old and you don't know what it is or polluted by who knows what. if i open the fireproofcabinets there's hydrofluoric acid that was ordered in 2002.. still standing there and even pots and shit from 1989... its horrible. But mostly that is stuff you can avoid to have problems with by common sense and watching out for yourself.

but when my safety and the safety of other people is directly being threathened by fucktards. I get thoroughly pissed like fucking today.. the arm of that stupid kid, is bright red and is being taken to the hospital.. but that shit won't change any time soon unfortunately since professors... self entitled bastards with no regards to anything.
