Gentlemen! Why U NO SAY DIS EARLIER? I have two characters that would fit in a legion cult. Chezzy and my Warlock Incarnos.

And.. what will we do actually? Kidnap maidens? We need a wider perspective then just a "Legion Cult Guild" ...

So, what I want?

1.)
Related to the Legion Cult guild - Y'all remember my demon hunter character? Back on ER we used to lead "Order of the Eclipse". Some of you may have heard of them. Basically, a bunch of nobles, stripped of noblity, filthy rich, haz warlocks, necromansers and more shadowy baddies. Highly payed assassins (we decided to take 'bout 3k RP moneys for a dead one and up to 5 for a live one... but we never actually got to kill anyone in our three years of assassinationnesses). At the same time, a dying family. As the GM i offered people to join the family and begin calling themselves with the family name and not their own. I had amassed a great deal of Firewinds. Due to that, once you start calling a people "brothers or sisters" you become a lovable family that's got it's back. Braiden and Dwy and anyone interested - let's merge the Legion Cult idea with this one? Wider audience, more bad guys, everyone fits in and most people can contribute with stuff.

Call me old fashioned but I don't think I want to do RRP with a male that RP's a female. Back in my day that was shameful and males that RP'd females were never even taken seriously. I want some sort of indication placed in the tag of female chars that makes it clear as to their actual sex IRL.

@ Chezz: I'd not call you retarded but your second point is really...really off in my opinion. I've known lots of males roleplaying females from the day I started to RP. RPed one myself too in fact. You never said something about males pretending to be females.

Of course's it's sexist, you said it's "shameful" for a male to RP a female. Seems to pretty heavily imply you think women are inferior in some way. And it's creepy because really, what reason is there for you to want to know except to see if you can hit on people or something weird?

The fact is if you can't distinguish between IC (the character) and OOC (the player) then you are a terrible roleplayer

Since roleplay is supposed to be kept IC and far away from OOC, caring about the gender of the player indicates that you have an urge to involve OOC in your IC, which dictates a lack of roleplaying skill.
Roleplay is roleplay, it's your character and their characters, the genders they and your characters has, NOT your own gender or their player genders. That's highly irrelevant.

Ontop of that. You're not supposed to hit on every female character you see OOCly. O_o

Why is that? I don't RP to become merged with a creature of fantasy. I RP to act in a play. Sure it sounds wrong when you make it look like I want to flirt with every bloody one of the chicks in the realm, as I'm sure it is with most people, but this is not the case for me. As I said, I think of RP as one big stage (am I the only bloody one...?) and it has a lot of other actors just like me.
Personally, IRL I'll never date a WoW chick. Now that is sexism because I didn't find my dick on the damn street.

I don't really mind guys who RP girls. I mind guys who engage in RRP while RPing girls. That was made perfectly obvious in my first post.

Oh! You mean ERP - Yes, that is pretty strange. If I was to RP a female (I do this as a male too) I just imply that the character has had sex. I've written stories with sex in them, but I don't like the idea of ERP. It is too personal a thing to engage in imo, I don't see it developing characters or story and I'd rather avoid it. Ohh... Well that isn't that bad! I mean, it can build character and strengthen storylines. It all needs a context to be put into. Two people RPing sat there from 01:00am - 06:00am watching the in game sun rise, that is a little too much detail! But two people acting a bit lovey in character is fine.

As to the op, yeah... I have a girl char. I have no wish to pop off the old boy and turning him inside out, I do it for the same reason I would RP an elf or a DK, to act out another char. Wynn is great fun to RP too, the anti Lex

If we could go back on topic of what we miss.. And not what we dont like and not the view of players behind the screen being what gender?^^ Make own threads for that as it is good topics. This thread is for people to state what they miss in their rp world, so people can put things in motion in hopes of improving the server.

I miss the time to RP. I have fond memories of my time on the server, some of the guilds I've interacted with, the events I've taken part in, the people I've met and the characters I played.

With every bit of spare time I get I want to get back into it, but it requires a lot of effort to build a character and connections again. And then the spare time would end again, so it'd be a futile effort I fear.

I guess that doesn't add a lot to the topic, but hi guys! I haven't posted here in years!
