The Hallowed Festival
Soon approaches the change in season, the time when we remember the fallen and move on with our lives unburdened, with our loved ones in our memory.

The Gilneans of the Dreadhowl Pack invite each and every member of the Alliance to join us in remembrance and celebration. We will together honour those close to us who we have lost and look to a bright future, unburdened. We will together remember that what truly matters in life.

We will symbolize this remembrance and unburdening by burning our wickerman dolls and then moving on to a pleasant evening and feast. We Gilneans invite everyone of the Alliance to join us and do the same. Drinks of all manner will be served and there will also be entertainment for those who seek it. You will be able to experience and look forward to a variety of local Gilnean wares and services, all hosted by the Dreadhowl Pack.

• The finest dressed gentleman and lady of the evening will be chosen.
  
• The ceremonial hunt for the Horseman will take place with a price to whoever chases him down, hosted by Mr Jorid Neillsen.
  
• There will be sparring, training for a better hope for survival and a future, hosted by Ms Katarina Silvershield.
  
• Mrs Lorainne Eleanor Hayes' finest treats and tea will be served.
  
• You will be able to experience the mystery that is mystic Mort.
  
• Drinks and spirits will be served by Mr Bob Brennen.
  
• Mr Corpulus will help you cure any ailments with his magical potions.

The event will be held in Gilneas, just south of Keel Harbor on October 29, 21:00 server time!

If you have a good idea and want to bring your own part of the event, whisper Niara and we'll discuss it. I imagine the dwarves might want their own ale stand and the Chapter their own bonfire for burning heretics etc

Since it's a festival to remember the dead, may a DK join the festivities? Oh, the joy. I'll even make sure the corpses of those who fell in Gilneas, including the Prince, will rise and join the fun . Now -that- would be festival!

Yeahhhhhhh I think we'd have to rip all the assembled Gilnians off of the DK who desicrated the prince's body...hell Bob would join in just for the craic.

Just from a forsaken pow (played worgen up to lvl 60:ish).. Why are you even at Gilneas? That should equal a deathwish, considering the amount of plague used to get that area.

Your question made me remember when on my previous server the guild i was in organized a masqurade at Scholomance. They insisted to hold it there despite my reasoning ICly. I went to the party still though, to guard the partying blood elves. Nevertheless it was a good event all in all, just the location was a bit strange.

I was very pleased to be able to take part in the Summer vs Winter snowdown! (Get it?)

Not only did it give my little retard something to really put her mind to and prove that she's not entirely stupid, but it was immense fun!

As far as I'm aware most of the actual city of Gilneas and the lands beyond that are still under Alliance control. The Alliance encampments outside the cathedral certainly suggest that. And at the end of the Silverpine quest chain the Gilneans had actually pushed the Forsaken entirely back and beyond the Greymane wall - I'm pretty sure that when Sylvannas kidnapped Lorna Crowley she only forced the worgen back behind the Wall and out of Silverpine, not out of Gilneas completely.

I was actually quite fortunate for the raid ending early. My highlights of the night were:
The play,
The Costume Contest,
Healing Tockyn after he ate a druggy mushroom
And having a potion war!
Sadly I didn't get ago ay fortune telling. I qued for 15 mins then the costume contest started.
