[A/H] To Lordaeron Empty [A/H] To Lordaeron

Post by Reyxor/Dlaqev/Lucag Fri Nov 10, 2017 4:34 pm

Notebook marking:
The Ninth Company's last meeting concluded in a decision, a decision very similar as have been done in the past, but still a new one. The decision was about going to Arathi Highlands. A scout's report via delivered message was also concerning. Being surrounded at Stromgarde with few from the local Alliance with him.

Decision was to take The Ninth Company on a campaign and station at Refuge Pointe. From there missions further at Lordaeron could be made and claiming part of the ruins of Stromgarde as a forward base is within the plans. Also other objectives to take hold off will be considered.

The Ninth Company representatives went to Ironforge Senate, to gain a permission for using the area of Khaz Modan for traveling through on their way to Lordaeron. A permission was granted for this purpose, yet the dwarven allies were not wanting to start a war with Forsaken, when Legion is still being fought at Argus. A promise was made, that all activities which might lead to troubles for Khaz Modan, would be tried to be prevented. How this will be possible, remains to be seen.

What the Forsaken have done at Broken Isles is unforgiveable. Due to strategical matters The Ninth Company switched their area of concentration to Lordaeron rather than the earlier yet very similar mission at Howling Fjord, Northrend. Lordaeron is far more important strategically than Northrend. This time, The Ninth Company didn't receive a mission from the Stormwind Military Command, but have decided to go there on their own accord.

The Ninth Company will start a travel from Northshire, 20:00 (server time) on Wednesday 15.11. This mission will be taking time as long as is necessary, there is no return date, but there are going to be events with rp and pvp possibly at Lordaeron, so Arathi Highlands and the areas there at the north of Eastern Kingdoms.

Anyone interested to join on this mission is welcome to contact The Ninth Company and join the travel or events at destination location later on.

At the last gathering at Orgrimmar, The Snake Warband agreed the porposal for going from Orgrimmar to Tirisfal Glades. This was due to Lucag hearing of unusually large conflict that has taken place in the near past at Arathi Highlands.

Plan is to set out with a zeppelin from Orgrimmar to Tirisfal Glades, and make an encampment at Bulwark. There is also a bounty at Tirisfal a member of the Warband had knowledge of, which will be taken into concideration for some practice, since the Warband is still getting to know each other.

When ready the Warband will see, where to set out at Lordaeron. Possible location for a base of operations could be Revantusk Village at Hinterlands, or somewhere else, which remains to be decided. However the main objective is to see what kind of conflict there is in the area at north of Eastern Kingdoms, and should it be taken part in. Assuming it's Forsaken conflict with Humans.

Departure event on Sunday 12.11. 20:30 (server time). From Orgrimmar to Bulwark, Tirisfal Glades.

There is a plan set at last meeting by The Ninth Company. Area from Faldir's Cove to Refuge Pointe, bordered by the eastern wall of Stromgarde, the road to Thandol Span and the central road of the Arathi Highlands, will be under constant patrolling and overlooked by The Ninth Company. Any Horde patrols in the designated area will be stopped and reinforcements or caravans to Hammerfall along the central road will be tried to be stopped as well.

This move is due to Alliance has been prevented to move to Stromgarde via the central road by the Horde patrols, which have been fought by the Alliance patrols, with no success in defeating them by the Alliance. There is a camp set up to reinforce this plan at the southwestern mountain range of Arathi Highlands

To Lordaeron campaign is set to continue from a temporary halt. On Wednesday 21st of March we will be back at Refuge Pointe, Arathi Highlands, to gain first an overview of the situation at Lordaeron and start preparing for gaining a better foothold at Lordaeron. While continuing work in the Kingdom of Stormwind and lending aid to allies, like the Ironforge Senate.

"The Ninth Company has now officially relocated to Refuge Point, Arathi Highlands.

They met and traveled together from Dun Modr towards Refuge Point, joined by non-Ninthers as well. With scouting ahead, there wasn't much trouble on the road, even though some minor Horde activity was spotted.

After arrival, a meeting was held to discuss strategy against the Horde forces in the area. Various opinions and ideas were mentioned as to which territories need to be the focus first and what is the priority of the various tasks. In conclusion, the group decided to use task forces. The following were formed:

Task Force #1:
Main goal: Occupy Eastpoint Tower, Hillsbrad Foothills.
Lead: Aleksa
Other members: Jove, Luca, Hakus

Task Force #2:
Main goal: Manage and control the surroundings of the Refuge Point camp, focusing on the Arathi Highlands area.
Lead: Tudo
Other members: Kiriste, Rammius

Also Tyrek has taken the responsibility of guarding the camp.

Task Force #1 report for Day 1:
Stategically lead by Armsman Aleksa, the group scouted successfully the West of Arathi Highalnds and then moved around carefully in Hillsbrad. Most Horde forces near Galen's Fall are in the same positions as the last time the Ninth was here. Stromgarde is still occupied by ogres and cultists. However an interesting discovery by the group is that Tarren Mill has weakened its defenses which is very important information. The head count at Eastpoint Tower is 7, the group debated if they should attack, but correctly decided it would be ill-advised to risk it 4 vs 7. They then moved towards the mountains of Alterac and commandeered only defended by a solo ogre.

Task Force #2 report for Day 1:
Dabyrie's Farmstead is the closest and possibly most important farm that the Ninth needs to have control over. Thus, the group decided to pay Marcel Dabyrie a visit and see if they can negotiate having his support again. Marcel was happy to see the Ninth again, but upset of how they left last time - without saying a word. Tudo was looking again for a deal of using the resources Marcel has available in exchange for protection. After some difficult and awkward conversation Marcel asked for double the guard compared to last time (4 instead of 2 guards) and for one guard on the farm 24/7. The group discussed Marcel's requirements and decided that instead, they offer a daily visit by a Ninth officer to check on Marcel and the 4 guards available in case of Horde attack. With some reluctance, Marcel agreed saying "If I don't see an officer here one day, all resources stop coming towards you from that day onward. Got it, long ears?". Tudo will see to it personally that Marcel gets his daily visits. The group then returned pleased with the result back to Refuge.

This is only the beginning. The journey has just started and is a long one. This time the Ninth feels more prepared and shall prevail for the Alliance!

Captain Tudo,
To Lordaeron Campaign,
Day 1, Week 1"

OOC: Wrote this mainly to anyone interested to join later to have some knowledge of what happened. I also consider this expedition free format, encouraging everyone to develop the story on their own or in smaller groups with weekly group meetings (Wednesdays at 20:30).

"On the second day, activities were going as normal with everyone at their posts.

Tudo and Kiriste went to pay Marcel his daily visit. Things are quiet, but Marcel's laborers spotted Horde activity - a group of about 5 were patrolling the area around the farm. Following from this information, the two ventured further south at the stone circle nearby. They found an axe thrown in the bushes with some scratchings on it and a patch of burned grass covered in sticks and sand - is this the Horde group Marcel's laborers saw covering their tracks? The captain threw the axe in the middle of the patch of grass as a sign that the Ninth knows of the Horde scouting and they moved on...

They next scouted from far distance Go'Shek Farm where they were joined by Aleksa, Jove, Hak'hus and a newcomer wanting to serve the Ninth - Alexander. The farm is still in Horde control, but not heavily guarded, similar to Marcel's farm. The group agreed it would be easy to attack it, but since there is no need for it, it wouldn't be worth spending even more guards to defend this new location. And they moved on...

Going even further south, they arrived at a village by the lake populated by a large number of trolls. The group started debating if these are Horde trolls or just locals not under any alliance. While discussing, one of the trolls spotted the group and approached aggressively "What brings ya in dis lands, man? Ya want to give us trouble like da bloody Hord in the mountains up north?". After some back an forth, the group said they're not like the Horde, quite the opposite they're looking to fight them. Captain Tudo even attempted to offer to ally with them against the Horde. The troll wouldn't trust the group so quickly though, he wouldn't see what they would gain from this either. He then suggested a meeting the next day between the captain and the trolls' leader by the small lake to the east. He then threatened the group and told them to leave before he calls his brothers to throw the group away from their lands. So they retreated back to camp with fast speed...

Back in Refuge Pointe the group started discussing the recent encounter, debating the benefits and drawbacks of allying with these trolls. Various points have been mentioned such as "they are savages!", how on negotiations with them they shouldn't be offended in any way and that we could offer them Go'Shek Farm and even Hammerfall in exchange for their cooperation. In conclusion, the captain decided giving them Go'Shek Farm for their cooperation is the best idea and that he would offer this in the negotiations the next day. He also acknowledged how risky this deal could be, but that it would be a risk worth taking.

After a tiring day, everyone went back to their daily activities. Will the trolls backstab us? Are they already working with the Horde? Time will tell...

Post by Aleksa Fri Mar 23, 2018 11:46 pm

"On the third day, activities were going as normal with everyone at their posts.

The Ninth Company, accompanied by Sir Rammius, representative of Deciples of Light, gathered again at Refuge Point to plan their further movements.
Day went by ordinarily, Captain Tudo and Master Kiriste  payed their daily visit to Marcel his daily visit. In the Hillsbard Foothill, Brother Hak'hus scouted nearby caves, Recruit Lucas investigated the perimiter, while Recruit Alexander, Armsman Jove and Armsman Aleksa went back to Refuge Point to report to Captain Reyxor. Now at the meeting it was agreed that this day, there won't be any mayor movements. Task Force #1 will in next couple of days take Northern tower in Altrac Vallay.
Towers:

Planning mostly ended on everyone returning to their duties.

They thought day will go on normally. But did it?

As soon as Armsman Aleksa and hes crew returned to Southern Tower in Altrac Valley accompained by beautiful Mage Lady Kiriste, they saw three Hord scouts walking the main path. Knowing they will be discovered, they used that moment while Hord wasn't looking at them to charge in battle and surprise their enemy. Battle was fierce and enemy despite only being three of them was strong.

-From Armsman Aleksa's Journal:"In first charge we managed to push them down the road continuing to press stronger in our second attempt to get ride of them, Armsman Jove and Lady Kiriste were hit and fell unconceus but quickly came back to their sense and returned to battle. In third charge at the enemy, they overpowered us, and pushed us back to the mountain, it is there in this charge that i earned my wound across chest. Enemy tried to push us back, but somehow we repelled their charge and got our territory back, to finally win the battle by repelling them and forcing them to retreat near the weary gates of Tarren Mill."

Battle Against Horde:

There Armsman Aleksa fell to hes wounds, and he was about to die if there were not for Armsman Joves aid and bandages, and Lady Kiristes Magical powers.

They returned to Southern Tower to wait further instructions and keep guard, waiting for Hord to return every moment.
But something else arrived there, it was as in the greatest hour of need that Captain Tudo arrived, not knowing what happened, he just came for a daily report. Raven was sent to Captain Reyxor informing him of events that happened in Atrac Valley, and urgent need or reinforcment.
Upon Captain Tudo's arrival, Guaridians of Southern Altrac Tower, first reported what they had, then they all celebrated great victory with Bourbon. Captain Tudo and Armsman Aleksa started discussing strategy now that their post has been discovered by the hord. Soon to realise they were not alone. Orc scout, Death Knight was watching them from a far. The Ninth, prepared for another combat, but Death Knigh dissapeared. Soon after that raven came with letter.
Death Knight attacked The Headland!
The 9th quickly traveled there and defeated Orc scout.

Was he part of first scouting crew that got distracted?
Is he a lone traveler, or maybe decoy for larger group to come?
We are eager to find out, if you are too. come join us and see what will happen to our brave champions.

"On the fourth day, activities were going as normal with everyone at their posts"

Most of the day went as normal, nothing interesting happened during the day, people were at their posts, Jove, Aleksa, Hak'Hus and Alexander were all in the towers. Whilst the second party involving, Lady Ros'eleth, Tudo and Rammius were guarding the camp. Through out the day nothing happened, it was until nightfall where we were mobilized. Though today Captin Tudo Had not been seen.

Two new people had arrived at camp; A female worgan and a Human who earlier delivered some minor food supplies for the army in Refuge Pointe. I did not however catch their names.

Later that evening we heard screaming coming from north of Refuge Pointe. As the farm is currenty our only supplier in Arathi, we responded with haste. We gathered our armour and weapons and well equipping ourselves before we rushed up to the farm to help the people there as fast as we could. When we arrived the farm was over run with Forsaken Foot Soldiers and Dark Rangers. They were attacking the defenceless farmers, luckily, we arrived in time, otherwise the loss of life could have been. devistating.

Ofcorse- we attacked. With amazing leadership skills from Rammius, we were able to defeat the invaders. As the Forsaken saw thay were no match for the strength of the Alliance and retreated. We slew many Forsaken, but evedently some survived our attack. So it is a certenty we will end up attacked again, perhaps with a bigger force
I would like to say that it would be wise to post more guards around the farm and have daily patrols around the paths that surround it.

We travelled back with only one wounded soldier, the man whom supplied us. Though he is well rested now and should be back on his feet in no time! We all got the required rest and we are ready for whatever comes our way.

Training day. Soldiers would polish their swords and arrows and... whatever magic users do to prepare themselves... in order to: fight each other!

Two teams were formed, lead by each of the captains, Reyxor and Tudo:
Blue team: Tudo, Aleksa, Rammius, Brightedge (OOC: and Yannim)
Red team: Reyxor, Christabelle, Tyrek, Jove (OOC: and Yriah)

They fought above Refuge Pointe in the open lands. They fought with honor, in rounds, winner of each round pushing and winning territory.

After some serious back and forth each side pushing each other back, the Blue team finally gained some ground.  They delivered the final blow and were declared victorious. However, on a training, victory is irrelevant. What each fighter and... uhm, magical user... learned from this is what's important. How they will use this in future battles is the whole reason for the training. We can only hope the Horde stay brave, but stupid..."

"The Battle for Go'Shek Farm

The second week started with another group meeting.

They gathered at the strategy table and started heated discussions about the next steps. They debated if they should go North or not, how to take control over the towers of Alterac mountains and how to deal with the nearby Horde in Arathi.

Since the Horde attacked Marcel Daberyie's farm a few days before, they decided to counterattack at Go'shek Farm. So the decision was to split in two groups and overwhelm the Horde from the two entrances to the farm. Some members remained to defend the camp.

Group 1: Tudo, Aleksa, Jove, Hak'hus, Kiriste, Rammius
Group 2: Tina, Narin, Asulyn, Isadore
Group defending Refuge Pointe: Reyxor, Renbelore

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Since the area was scouted before, it was thought the farm would be weakly guarded. How wrong they were... A massive Horde force was already expecting them on the farm. How did the Horde know? What was there to do? Give up at this late stage? No, the brave soldiers had to continue with the plan and try to take the farm. And so they fought from both sides... swords clashing, arrows flying and spells covering the area. After hours of arduous fighting, the group lead by captain Tudo wasn't doing so well and so they had to call for retreat all the way back to Refuge Pointe. The other group managed to defeat three guards, killing one and taking the other two as prisoners. They saw their friends getting pushed back on the other side of the farm so they grabbed the prisoners and went back to Refuge Pointe as well.

Back at the camp, talks started again about the new dire situation. Most seem to agree that maybe the camp of Refuge Pointe is too weak to be defended against a possible Horde attack and maybe the whole group should move to a new location. But where? Aerie Peak? Stromgarde? They wouldn't make a decision today with heads so clouded and morale so low, they will decide on another day...

Summary:

Date: Week 2, Day 1
Location: Arathi Highlands
Participants: Reyxor, Tudo, Aleksa, Rammius, Jove, Hak'hus, Kiriste, Tina, Narin, Asulyn, Isadore, Renbelore
Output: Go'Shek farm successfully defended by the Horde. Alliance took two Horde guard prisoners which are now at Refuge Pointe.

Captain Tudo,
To Lordaeron Campaign"

OOC: Thanks everyone for participating. Makes it fun to have Horde involved. If anyone on Horde side wants to build up on the story (i.e. have an attack of their own) just let me know.

Also, I will try to write a summary from now on (a sort of "too long didn't read" option) for people who can't be bothered to read so much. Very Happy

[A/H] To Lordaeron Empty Re: [A/H] To Lordaeron

Post by Reyxor/Dlaqev/Lucag Mon Apr 02, 2018 11:24 am

A short summary of the situation at the "To Lordaeron" campaign.

Prelude
The Ninth Company had for sometime been interested in the area of Lordaeron. There was an ongoing plan to focus on southern Lordaeron, mostly Arathi Highlands at first, and later to capture strategically important objectives, due to Forsaken were seen by The Ninth Company the main hostile force, towards Alliance at Eastern Kingdoms.

The Alliance had some success at Arathi Highlands in the first phases, yet Horde patrols did make it difficult for the Alliance to upkeep a stable position at Arathi Highlands. The campaign did halt due to Horde being too strong for the Alliance, and The Ninth Company turned focus on defeating the Legion and taking care of internal threats within the Kingdom of Stormwind.

Campaign phase two

After receiving reinforcements and when the Legion was already fought and won on Argus, The Ninth Company did decide at Northshire Abbey on a weekly meeting for the Ninth with those orders that had close relations with the Ninth Company: The Fraternity and The Disciples of Light, that they should move back to Arathi Highlands, having the main base of operations in the same location they had left earlier, Refuge Pointe.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The Alliance arrived at Arathi Highlands, and set up an encampment at Refuge Pointe. This is the main base of operations for the Alliance.

Arrival to Arathi Highlands

At the command table

In preparation for the upcoming possible conflicts with the insidious Forsaken and the Horde in general at Arathi Highlands, The Ninth Company and the orders taking part on the campaign, started to do combat training, it's important to uphold combat skill in practice, fighting fellow Alliance in practice matches, where losing is as important as winning, it's then when the skills become tested and one learns, without losing any objectives to the real enemy.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
On the training grounds

As it is important to uphold one's skill of battle, it's at the least equally important, to have a working strategy for missions, to gain ground and have the opponent on its heels. They should never be able to predict what is the next move for the Alliance, so one step ahead is better than slowly getting overwhelmed due to clever opponent's plans.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Mission planning ongoing

The Alliance met the same enemy at first at Arathi Highlands. The opponent used a symbol of two snakes curled to each other. Some information was told this being a Horde warband called "The Snake Warband", that caused the Alliance difficulties already on the prelude phase of the campaign. And it didn't leave there. As the Alliance moved to capture a Horde farm at Arathi Highlands, called Go'Shek farm, the Alliance met the old enemy of the Ninth. It was these Horde fighters who pushed the Alliance out from attacking Go'Shek farm and Alliance had to flee back to Refuge Pointe, with a prisoner of war, they managed to capture with the second group of the Alliance.

Upcoming battle from the Horde perspective

Horde took the field at Go'Shek farm battle

Further missions are to be planned, possibly claiming the ruins of Stromgarde at least partly for the Alliance forces to be used as a secondary base at Arathi Highlands. How the Horde will react is quite certain, they will not be at peace with the thought, I'm sure of that.

Moving out from Refuge Pointe for a mission

Further training will be done, this happens in the training grounds, one might be surprised how well training gives advantage on the battlefield.

Thanks to all who have participated so far on the campaign. We do accept all who want to join on the campaign, both Horde and Alliance. We use alts and contacts on Horde to take part in rp pvp, in small scale rp pvp battles. For larger amount of players for a battle, we possibly gain a real old enemy of the Ninth Company from the Argent Dawn, when it's possibly a matter of time, when the rp pvp starts to kick in.

Enjoyed the campaign so far, almost need some break at times due to heavy rp, some pvp and the heavy planning sessions with tensions high as if it was a real deal with deep immersion, lol. So glad to do it anyhow.

"Horde Prisoners' Rescue

The second week was mainly about scouting the area and debating where to move next as Refuge Pointe seems more and more dangerous.

On day six of the second week, while still discussing and packing, a scout ran into camp shouting "Horde group spotted! Riding from Hammerfall towards us!". Everyone in camp grabbed their weapons, ready to fight. A very difficult position, very low ground, in a hole, fearing of getting swarmed from above from any direction. Within minutes that's exactly what happened, Horde jumped in from high ground clashing with the defending Alliance. Noticing the Alliance are distracted with the fighting, one Horde soldier sneaked in and released the prisoners and ran away with them. After some more fighting the Horde appeared to fall back. But why? They were winning the battle. Within seconds, captain Tudo looked around and realised what happened: they took the prisoners and left, that was the only reason they attacked. "After them!", he shouted and the Alliance group mounted up and followed on the Horde group's path. They found them quickly near Marcel's farm and clashed again, the Horde throwing back a few punches and further moving toward Hammerfall with the prisoners. The Alliance group followed them one more time, clashing closer to Hammerfall and they were stopped again. Getting even closer to Hammerfall would have been too dangerous, so the Alliance group turned back with the prisoners lost.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Back at camp they agreed the prisoners were of no use at this point anyway as they were leaving Refuge Pointe soon, so they didn't make much of this loss. However, once more Refuge Pointe's location and structure proved to be a very difficult position to defend, showing again that they had to leave soon. And so they decided that in two days, on Wednesday, they would move. Will they siege Stromgarde as mentioned before? Will they leave Arathi?...

Summary:

Date: Week 2, Days 2-6
Location: Arathi Highlands
Participants: Tudo, Aleksa, Rammius, Jove, Yannim, Yriah
Output: Horde attacked Refuge Pointe and successfully released the two prisoners the Alliance were keeping.

These reports start at week 1, day 7 of the 'To Lordaeron' campaign.

From the personal reports of a Horde champion, signing off by the alias 'Dawn':
I have been informed of our reasons to be in the Highlands. Our overall goal is daunting, but has the potential to swing the war in our favour. By taking Arathi, the Horde cut off a major supply route from the lands of Khaz Modan and by extension Stormwind's territories. From there the systematic conquering of Lordaeron may begin; starting from the north, Forsaken and other Horde forces would move south, eradicating any resistance in their path. Without any enemy support from the south, we should be able to siege and take control of many major Alliance settlements.

I should arrive in Arathia by tomorrow, and report directly to the Snake Warband. As I understand, they are heading the operation.
May the Light guide us all.
Signed,
Dawn
...
...

Following direct orders to assist our allies in the Arathi Highlands, I eventually arrived at the outpost known as Hammerfall. A troll greeted me, the banner of two snakes curled together was displayed behind him; the Snake Warband. I knew it was him I would serve under.

He informed me that a Forsaken scouting party had been repelled at a northern farmstead, with over half their forces being killed. In response, a strong patrolling force would be gathered, one which I was included. While I waited for him to find the other newly arrived soldiers, another troll approached. A shaman most likely, given his markings. He stated that while he is here to survey the lands, he would offer his services to our cause. When the Warband troll returned, he had two orcs and a demon hunter in tow. After some brief introductions, we were instructed to mobilise as the first patrol unit, our first point of call being the Horde-aligned Go'Shek Farm. Thus the pair of Darkspears, pair of orcs, and pair of blood elves moved out.

Our arrival was timely, as no sooner had we arrived and ensured that the farm was running correctly did one of the farmers suddenly cry out. We grouped up and steeled ourselves for the coming battle; the Alliance were here to extract retribution. They allowed the farmers to flee, but we refused to yield. After a long and brutal battle we fended them off, with no reported casualties or confirmed kills. The farm would remain ours.

Upon return to Hammerfall we discovered that the second patrol, a trio meant to cover and support our rear, hadn't reported in. After searching the fields, we found one of the members killed; no doubt by a second group of Alliance. The other two are missing, assumed captured. Had they not held their ground, we may have been surrounded and overrun by these two groups at Go'Shek. The atmosphere in Hammerfall is bittersweet, having repelled the enemy but also having lost some of our own. Talks about a rescue operation are already underway.

If any harm comes to our men, the Alliance will have hell to pay. By the Sunwell, I swear this.

Dawn
...
...

Tensions inside Hammerfall are rising. More forces arrive daily and are eager to fight, but marching a large force over these hills would make our army visible and leave us prone to an ambush. Every day arguments regarding our captured men heat up. If we leave them for too long, the chance of them being harmed or giving out intel increases greatly, but it would be folly to act without the knowledge of where they are being held or where the Alliance are operating from. We can only hope that our scouts will return with useful intelligence in the coming days.

Signed,
Dawn
...
...

The scouts still report nothing regarding our missing members. Some of the men grow restless in the barracks, convinced that the Alliance are operating out of Stromgarde. While the keep is the only other fortified structure in Arathi, previous reports indicate that it is in a three-way conflict between ogres, cultists and the Stromic army. There is no reason to believe that the Alliance forces who attacked us and took our men hold a base of operations there. For now we will continue patrolling our grounds and scouting for more information, no matter what those low ranking soldiers believe.

Signed,
Dawn
...
...

The fools! The damnable fools! Behind the back of command, some restless captains rallied half of our standing troops with their anti-Alliance propaganda, convincing them that the time to strike is now. No doubt the imbeciles have gone to raid Stromgarde. They must have made out in the dead of night, with word only reaching me in the morning. The many men still obeying our word have been ordered to remain in camp, whilst a small elite group is formed to follow the trail of our wayward army and bring them back. If we do not reach them before their assault, they must pray that their gambit succeeds. For if they fail, I have no doubt in my mind that under the Dark Lady's orders, their lives are forfeit.

Signed,
Dawn
...
...

We were too late. We arrived in the battle's aftermath, where my worst fears were confirmed. Our army was decimated, with countless corpses layering the ground. Massive casualties could be seen from all sides involved. Before I could even begin to grasp the mass loss of life, the shaman of the party pulled me into a nearby bush to hide; he scouted people approaching the gates of Stromgarde. We decided that we should leave, quickly. There was nothing more for us here.

After reporting the situation to everyone at Hammerfall, making it very clear what happens to an army that attacks without clear intel on a situation, we decided that we could only wait for reinforcements. Although large, we cannot conquer Arathia with the army we have now.

May the Light guide all those who fell in battle; it was a cruel waste of life which none deserved.
Signed,
Dawn
...
...

The troll shaman pulled me aside today, with a smile on his face and good news on his tongue. He told me that the elements granted him a vision of an Alliance base, nestled in a ravine between the hills. He continued with confidence, saying that our missing men lie along the line between the Circle of West Binding and the Circle of Outer Binding. By consulting the map on the command table, we managed to pinpoint the one major ravine given the constraints: Refuge Pointe. I was both glad and furious at this discovery. The pointe is terrible to defend, and it would be suicide for any group to even consider staying there. Yet the Alliance hid there regardless, and escaped our gaze for weeks.

Their advantage has given out, and they will pay for such boldness.
Tomorrow, we rescue our men.
Signed,
Dawn
...
...

The plan was decided. To minimise the chance of being detected, a small group was sent to rescue our soldiers. The party consisted of myself, the demon hunter, the two trolls, and a newly arrived but ferocious orc. We were also joined by a Highmountain tauren, a druid of whom I've met previously in Ogrimmar.

When night fell we walked with our flying mounts, staying low and quiet until we approached Refuge Point. After a quick scout by our druid, the Warband leader gave the command: we mounted up and descended upon the Alliance in a sudden fury. After fending off and stunning the guards on duty, our men quickly grabbed the prisoners and fled before more enemies could arrive to the scene.

The prisoners were wounded, and we couldn't carry them far before we needed to put them down. I tended to their injuries and needs while the others kept watch. Soon enough, the shaman hiding in the bush called out that we were being followed; I quickly hid the prisoners behind the bush before joining the others in battle. It was grueling, but we beat them back. In the aftermath the tauren druid placed both prisoners on his back before we retreated again.

Once again, we were forced to stop. We hid our men in between two large boulders to give them cover should another fight break out. The shrill cry of battle and sharp clash of steel made me rise to my feet, as I ran to assist my allies. This enemy party seemed to be the same one we fended off earlier, meaning they too hardly had time to rest. Had fresh soldiers come from Refuge Pointe, we may have not beaten them back again. We were exhausted, but had to press on. We picked up the prisoners and stumbled back behind our lines, where our other troops could cover our backs.

The mission was successful. We rested at the gates of Hammerfall while the men were taken inside to the infirmary. All notions about attacking Refuge Pointe were immediately dismissed: we do not know how many enemies have arrived there after our rescue nor will we risk sending our armies out of Hammerfall until sufficient reinforcements arrive. After a brief discussion about the interests of our Warchief, we left to celebrate our victory.

I have faith in Sylvanas. By the Sunwell, I just hope she has faith in us.

Dawn

"The Base Move Debate

The third week started with a very heated debate about where to move the base of the expedition as Refuge Pointe wasn't a safe option anymore.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Options discussed were Stromgarde, Aerie Peak, Hearthglen, Light's Hope Chapel and others. After various pros and cons for each option the only two viable ones remaining were Stromgarde and Aerie Peak. This was put to a vote and with a difference of one vote Aerie Peak won. The group have a week to pack everything and start the next week by riding to Aerie Peak.

Summary:

Date: Week 3, Days 1-7
Location: Refuge Pointe, Arathi Highlands
Participants: Tudo, Aleksa, Rammius, Jove, Yannim, Yriah, Brightedge, Kiari, Cartas, Eyilia, Dreane, Ren'belore, Soren, Lucas, Ranaclure, Isadore, Reyxor, Tina
Output: The new official base of the expedition will be moved to Aerie Peak.

"To Aerie Peak

The fourth week started with the travel from Refuge Pointe to Aerie Peak. The group grabbed as many boxes as they could on their mounts and rode North. Aleksa, Yriah and Yannim went in front as a scouting party.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The road was quiet. Almost too quiet. The scouts returned with reports of a clear road ahead a couple of times.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Getting closer to the tunnel towards the Hinterlands, the scouts return with information of possible undead up ahead. Captain Tudo decide they are to continue as they would be ready for a fight.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

In the tunnel the Forsaken appear as warned. They arrive from both sides however and surround the Alliance group. After a massive, long fight with two groups fighting facing each side of the tunnel, the Forsaken are finally killed and the remaining ones towards Hinterlands run for retreat. Reckless senator Fultric runs after them. While they try to clear their heads, an old man named Soren comes followed by another ten strong Forsaken warriors. The two groups now unite and fight these warriors as well until almost all are killed. One Forsaken mentions Tarren Mill as the base they are coming from after which he drinks a vial and kills himself. The final Forsaken alive is tied to Yriah's mount. Because they want to get out of the tunnel as fast as possible, they decide to grab whatever supplies they can and leave the rest behind if it slows them down.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The rest of the road is clear.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Arrived at Aerie Peak, they tie their Forsaken prisoner to some bone structure (a friend?) to interrogate him later. Then they finally get some well deserved rest.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The supplies are now low though. The Horde already knows about the move to Aerie Peak. And since when is Tarren Mill such a strong force? A lot of work to do...

Summary:

Date: Week 4, Day 1
Location: Refuge Pointe, Arathi Highlands to Aerie Peak, Hinterlands
Participants: Korine, Rammius, Thyndara, Shiv, Tina, Aleksa, Chrissy, Cid, Esasia, Fultric, Isadore, Jove, Mia, Ren'belore, Soren, Tudo, Katya, Yannim, Yriah
Output: The expedition's base is now Aerie Peak. Supplies have been lost and are low. There is one Forsaken prisoner at Aerie Peak who needs interrogated.

[A/H] To Lordaeron Empty Re: [A/H] To Lordaeron

Week 3, Day 5.

"I returned to Stormgarde to keep it safe for time being and control it's defenses until time for moving into Aerie Peak arrives.
Day was passing out quietly and all of a sudden guards on towers yelled about Horde warband approaching. I organized troops and lead them towards main gate to confront the Horde.
They came to us for a nagotiation, i was surprised by their offer, but quickly came to my senses and started debating with them, Captain Reyxor arrived few moments later joining us in nagotiations. We were about to close deal, when Druid came baring message from Undead Queen herself. In the letter she ordered Horde champions to take control over Stormgarde.

I ran back into the section of town Alliance had under control, organizing units to repel the attacker. We would stay and die, for the Alliance, Ninth Company and Lordaeron, we would draw enemy attention so Captain Reyxor could escape and get reinforcement.

Horde Champions fought honorably and took us down one, by, one. At the weary end I took remaining forces of Stormgard, now nearly a fist of us, to the Chapel where we would make our last stand. Knowingly everything was lost now, with a battle cry we met our invader.

Till this day i still don't know how i survived, why did they spare my life.

Week 5, Day 1.
Map of Hinterlands:
Legend:

"We are currently stationed in Aerie Peak, with Captain Reyxor still staying at Refuge Point and Captain Tudo shifting from Stormwind to Aerie Peak, i stepped up and took over role of leading our man stationed up North. We mainly did patrolling and scouting missiones.

So on first day of fifth week, we gathered in front of Wildhammer Keep, Armsman Jove and Recruit Dystar were sent to patrol road towards tunnel, while Recruit Ren'belore and I marched through the mountain pass, towards Scholomance.
To my surprise city itself was abandoned, no sould alive nor dead was present up there.
With that founding we went back to meet with others in-front of Wildhammer Keep.

As undead have been preparing to attack us for some days now, and with them striking at us in tunnel multiple times, it was our turn to pay back the favor.

We ventured into a weary heart of the beast. We took a scouting mission all the way to Tarren Mill.
At first sight there was not much to be seen.
I counted around some twenty undead being present there. We managed to sneak into Tarren Mill, kill one of their guards surprising him, and even take some crates that Recruit Ren'belore tested for plague.

We also had new Recruit join Ninth.

In my eyes that day was huge success.

Week 5, Day 1.
Battle of Mountain Pass:

"Day was calm, i was on my normal patrolling duty with Recruit Ren'belore when a woman approached us.
Her name is Kiraia after small conversation we called her to join us at Aerie Peak for a drink, as there were no more duties for that day.
Once we got inside Wildhammer Keep, Captain Tudo, Miss Tina, Armsman Jove and Master Ros'eleth Kiriste Lightwaves.
Conversation was more focused on Kiraia who was soon accepted as a new member of the Ninth Company.

The hour was growing late, so most of the company departed, I went up to check if any of my patrols returned.
Every did.
Except one.
Worried i mounted my trusted steed Thunder getting ready to search them, Recruit Ren'belore encountered me as i should not go alone, so she joined me.

We started going towards mountain path, way that leads to Scholomance. On crossroads that lead towards mountain, i spotted two guards, my patrol. At first rage overwhelmed me seeing them lay near the fire, at first glance resting.
Closer i came, more i realized i was wrong. They were not resting, they were all bloody and unconceous. Recruit Ren'belore and I tried to help them. Only to hear Rhapsody Shindigger whisper to me. .

Sweat ran through my back as he said that, i turned quickly to see army of undead moving towards us.

There were four battalions counting ten undead each, Recruit Ren'belore was sent for reinforcement, while i stood in defiance against undead legions.

Luckily for me Reinforcement arrived, Master Ros'eleth Kiriste Lightwaves bought with her Armsman Jove, Armsman Ranaclure, Armsman Lucas and recruit Kiraia.

We had little time, as undead main force was marching our way, to aid their bretheren in battle.

Guards Rhapsody Shindigger and Gilveradin Sunchaser quickly came to their sences and joined us in bloody battle.
We managed to overpower undead army, making only three left alive to retreat.

We used advantage of our victory, to sieze control of crossroads, if main army was to arrive and we were stuck behind with no way to retreat, that would've been terrible and i don't think we could make it out of there alive.

Undead force that we faced before was nothing comparing to one that came after.

There were three battalions, each lead by five deathguard and counted up to twenty unedead, half melee half range.
Seeing our chances of survival were tin and retreating would've been worse, because we couldn't outrun them. I ordered Recruit Ren'belore to make a protal into WildHammer Keep while we protected her.

Battle for our lives and mountain pass, has just begun.
We were fighting as one, using terrain to our advantage, as undead were never good at that nor at any kind of strategy for that matter.
Many suffered large wounds, and unfortunetly we lost Guards Rhapsody Shindigger and Gilveradin Sunchaser, they fell to forsaken army. May the Light bless their Souls and give them eternal peace.
Recruit Ren'belore managed to make magical portal and get us all out of there, before we all fell to our enemy.

We lost two good man that day, but undead also payed their price. Whole battalion was destroyed, one was left with three deathguards and four soliders and other had four deathguards and seventeen soliders.
I managed to get a glance at their leader on large deathcharger, he was staying behind squadrons over looking battle.

We do not know of enemy further movements, we got overrun and retreated.
For now we rest in Aerie, hoping they wont dare charge on us.
My guess is they have taken residence in City of Scholomance.

Week 8, Day 6.

"After long absence in our campaign, we have returned.
So much was going on these past weeks, most of it not of my liking, yet we stand ready again to fight for Lordaeron, for the Alliance.

Now with combined strengths Alliance of Lordaeron and The Ninth Company, have moved from our previous location, Wildhammer Keep, Aerie Peak to our old base of operations, Refuge Point. Mine will be only the summary of this, as Corporal and Diplomat Nemuss has captured all of it on paper.

Day 1.
This is my first day on duty in this called Campaign and first official Campaign since re-making of Alliance of Lordaeron.
By their count it is Week 8, Day 6.
Station Refuge Point.
Location Arathi Highlands

Raven flew above me, dropping a letter with Lordaeronian seal on it.
Grand Marshal asked for my presence in Campaign, so i set out to join them.

Upon coming meeting has already ended and everyone went to do their duties.

I was assigned to Scout perimeter and gather ressources, accompanying me was a young blacksmith and private to Lordaeronian army, Andris Osbern.

We have visited Dabyrie's Farmstead, there Fardel Dabyrie agreed to keep sending us ressources like when the last time Ninth Company was in Arathi.

From farm we continued up north alongside mountain spine.
Taking a look from a far Hammerfall seemed weakly inhabited.
Many Kobold's were running around and they have made a cave in the Eastern part of Arathi Highland's mountains.

We scouted troll's further south in Witherbark Village. They seemed to be in lesser number as well compared to old reports. Fighting Ogre who made nearby area their home.

Go'Shek farm is still in control of the Horde.
Northfold Manor was abandoned.
Galen's Fall same number of undead guarding it.

With Siege being closer and closer, we did not dare to venture so close to the Stormgarde, so we don't have best report on it's situation. We did kill a Undead scout roaming around those parts. *laugh*

Faldir's Cove is clear and ready to be used.

Overall Summary is:
-Ressources gathered from what we could find (animal meat and fruit), Dabyrie's Farm not included.
-Area complely scouted less Horde troops then last time. They don't have any movements outside their keeps. I doubt if they are even aware of our presence in Arathi once again.

Week 8, Day 7.
Starting point Docks of Fenris Keep.

"Day long awaited has drawn near, eagerly I stood at the Docks of Fenris Keep, with Marshal Gerarth and hes most trusted ten Lordaeronian soldiers, Diplomat and Corporal Nemuss and our Pirvate and Blacksmith Andris.
It was time to set sail and aid our bretheren in taking Stormgarde.
We moved swiftly towards The Decrepit Fields, further progressing to North Tide's Beachhead. From there we sailed into Faldir's Cove.
On the Boat:

While docking we heard Lieutenant Jove's battle horn echoing through the mountains. It was sign to use hole made in Stormgarde and assault main keep while others assault main gate.

We rushed and charged on enemy, killing nearly thirty undead and orcs with their commander at the Gates of Main Keep. It costed us two Lordaeronian soldiers.

Near the end of battle First Scout Resoss boosted our ranks.

Inside the keep we faced Undead Acolyte trying to destroy whole town with hes plague. I suffered many wounds in that fight, soldiers of Lordaeron fell one by one before mad Acolyte, in the end two last Lordaeroninan standing decapitated undead.
We joined Lieutenant Jove as he was about to finish battle for main part of town.

With Ninth Company and Alliance of Lordaeron united. we pursuited remaining enemy forces slaugthering them in our wake. Last remaining footsoliders cleared rest of town, while we marched into Mage Tower to take down Undead commander.

Mage Tower:

After great victory we gathered our dead and payed respect to them.

Week 8, Day 7.

On the Thirteenth day of the Fifth month, the siege of Stormgrade took place. We were to capture the keep and take it back from the Horde.

Lieutenant Jove Razorbak lead the attack on the keep with Sergeant Korine in second and Grand Marcheal Aleksa attaacking from a different location.

The Group advanced through the gate way once the baracade was destroyed with the siege weapon we aquired. Sergeant Korine was the first to advance using a Lightforge Warframe. The assault force advanced through the baracade and slowly made its way to the centre of the keep to find a Horde Captain leading the defence force. Once we had defeated the Captain we met up with Grand marchal Aleksa and his group and marched to the mage tower to defeat the Horde Commander of Stormgrade.

To whom it may concern,

Armsman or scout Yriah should you prefer, was called away shortly after the item noted as Galen's Fall. He assured me he did not waiver from his primary mission, and that he excused himself as a matter of urgency with First Scout Ressos.

Neither he nor I know who reported the on coming army from Tarren Mill. Although it worked out for the best this time, I suggest verifying the source of any message more carefully in future.
