[A] The Azure Flame [Unguilded, Neutral, Magic] - [Disbanded]
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Note: The guild have disbanded.
The Azure Flame is a collective of rogue-mages, darkcasters, outlaws and independent individuals who have founded a faction separate from the Alliance. Based upon unrestricted magical power, study and independence, The Azure Flame shall allow no-one to lord over them. Those bearing the Flame walk a line neither good or evil, each determined to make their own mark upon the world.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] - Flame's Magical Services Poster (in Dalaran, Horde and Alliance cities)
- Overview:
- Roleplaying within Azure Flame consist of interaction between individuals and their decisions on how they chose to affect the world. There is no unified agenda. Only a set of rules that are not to be breached. Characters are free to chose whether to pursue their own path or follow the leadership of someone else. In both cases, the Flame remains in the background as a pilar to seek support, aid and shelter from when needed.
Joining the guild itself is not a requirement. Characters joining Azure Flame are able to be part of another guild simultaneously. The Calendar and Guild Chat of the Azure Flame are not in use. All communication happen through an external chat channel in-game and a Discord/Skype-group formed outside of the game. The guild exist physically only for those who wish to bear the Guild Tag and have access to things such as Tabard or Guild Bank.
Being part of a Raiding or PvP guild, Infiltrating another RP guild or being a secret member of Azure Flame are all thus viable options.
Being a small guild to begin with, The Azure Flame does not promise it members overwhelming activity. While being open for roleplayers of all experience, initiative to create your own roleplaying or being simultaneously part of another, more active RP guild is encouraged. What the Flame however 'can' offer is a highly magical, immersive environment of high quality roleplaying.
Joining the group is done through roleplaying. Whether you intentionally seek us out or simply stumble into our roleplaying is up to you. Since the most recent invasion of The Burning Legion, The Azure Flame have made a presence in the Neutral city of Dalaran, establish a magic-services business and can be contacted for a meeting at The Legerdemain Lounge.
- IC Introduction (brief history):
- *A man sits writing by a table in a small room. A candle sheen light over the letter the man's been writing quite some time now. The cheerful noises coming from the ground floor of the tavern are left without attention as the quill dances on the page of parchment.*My most esteem Client,
I have done as you have requested and found out as much as I can about the group who refers to themselves as "The Azure Flame". As expected, the group have proven to elusive, difficult to catch and acquire information about. This is however what I have gathered.
The first emergence of the Azure Flame happen 19th of February, several months past the Alliance & Horde vanguards breaching through the ranks of The Iron Horde through The Dark Portal. On that day, a stranger described as "a hooded female human mage wearing robes of purple bandages, dark green cloth and golden lining" appeared in the town of Moonbrook, Westfall.
She held a speech that was described by the locals as 'unsettling'. The woman was speaking of the flaws of the Alliance, blaming the faction for leaving it own citizen to struggle with bandits and poverty. She offered a chance to the locals, to leave their previous lives behind. To start anew and create a place for themselves "free of discrimination and oppression".
At the end of her speech, she conjured forth a blue flame above her palm, named her group and spoke the phrase "Nahrune'enor". I have translated this from early Vrykul/Arathorian dialect, "old human language". The phrase translates roughly as "to be ourselves. free". The woman then left and made home in the abandoned tower in the south-eastern corner of Westfall. Blue lights were lit into the windows and this became the first known headquarters of The Azure Flame.
*disclosed with the letter is a copy of the original speech, written up by a local guard shortly after the speech* (see History)
By my analysis, the speech was hardly a masterpiece of linguistics. Unsuccessful as rallying the crowds, I've been told that hardly anyone followed the woman. Those few who I managed to interview (against generous payment) admit that they were considering if not for the apparent magical nature of the group. Apparently they found the detail of magic being involved unsettling. This is not hard to believe, considering the rumors around Westfall of the Flame being a Necromancer's coven stealing away children. Regarding that rumor, there has been reports of several individuals disappearing from Westfall during the time Azure Flame remained in the area. It is however impossible to connect this into this particular group. Banditry is still a common practice in the lands.
Regarding the speech, I believe the speech was never intended in rallying the crowds. The Azure Flame of current is known to be heavy of spellcasters, though the exact number and type is left into question. It could be that the group had existed a long time already and this public display was only intended to bring their existence into awareness? Indeed, as a SI:7 agent revealed to me (after I had convinced him of myself being on matters of the crown), a great number of robed individuals had been sighted moving in and out from the tower where the Flame made their stay.
This kept going on a few weeks until the group simply one night disappeared from Westfall. A large picture of a blue flame was painted facing the entrance, but beyond that and lingering traces of magic the tower was truly abandoned.
*disclosed with the letter is a drawing of the "Azure Flame" on the stone wall, drawn by the author himself* (see History)
The Azure Flame have since emerged from time to time. While there is little information of their movements, word of sightings come from as far as from Draenor, Neutral havens, places of the Underworld and in gatherings of the Black Market. The woman of Westfall have also been confirmed as "Skarain Feirand", a Worgen sorceress from Gilneas and the presumed leader of The Azure Flame. She was Wanted in Ironforge some time ago for charges such as treason, cultism and assault upon senator Bavragor Stormbrew.
*enclosed with the letter is a copy of the Wanted poster of Skarain Feirand* (see History)
Kharanos was rumored to be a holdout of the Azure Flame, but shortly after the warrant was issued upon "Skarain Feirand" an unit of armored dwarven guards purged what traces of the Flame's presence remained in Kharanos. It is not in my knowledge that any of the spellcasters would've been captured in that raid.
Since the incident to Kharanos, the group took further precautions to hide from the world. Not a word was heard in months, until The Senate of Ironforge outlawed the entire group several months later, after a representative of the organisation named Wardens of Azeroth brought word of Azure Flame interfering with their assault upon a necromancer cove, having already razed the camp and claimed what tomes were held in their possession as their own.
By the return of the Legion, The Azure Flame surfaced in the City of Dalaran. With the Legion Invasion underway, the group showed up out from nowhere and began aiding in the defence of the city, up until the point Dalaran was translocated from above Karazhan to the coast of The Broken Isles in search of the Pillars of Creation. For a while since then, the colours of The Azure Flame have be seen among the other visitors of Dalaran and frequently visiting The Legerdemain Lounge. Not long after their appearance to Dalaran, the Flame managed to nullify their warranty in Ironforge, building their defense to the point that now is not the time to fight among ourselves, but to combat the Legion.
Several months have passed and the Flame was seen in an unfavorable position again. Kain Templeman, one of the presumed leaders of the Flame was issued a warranty by the Kirin Tor, with a long list of crimes.
*enclosed is a copy of the wanted posters, as well a hastily made copy of the letter sent to orders and individuals* (see History)
While information is still hard to come by, it was rumored that the Flame died along with Kain Templeman, as his pursuers closed upon him and slew him and Skarain Feirand in Light's Fall, in Shadowmoon Valley, along with an elf follower of the two. I have been unsuccessful to secure an accurate description of what truly did happen. However, while Kain Templeman have not been sighted, the Azure Flame have renew their presence in Dalaran, set up a magical services business based to Dalaran and otherwise emerge from time to time. Rumors were only rumors about the death of the Flame. They are still very much there, simply eluding our gaze.
This is all that I could find out, my client. It is not mine to ask why you seek the bearers of the blue flame. I can only wish you good luck and hope that you know what you are doing.
May the Light preserve your soul.
- History:
- The guild was formed in February 2015 through the roleplaying of the founding members, "Skarain Feirand" (Skarain-DefiasBrotherhood) and "Kain Templeman" (Templeman-DefiasBrotherhood). There was no pre-set goal on what the guild was meant to be. Only two Arcanist of shady nature who were yearning for 'change', to shatter the stagnation that occupied their lives and to prove the fact that the Alliance, the law and authority can not control all. The guild have evolved a lot since those days and will continue to evolve as directed by Roleplaying.Moonbrook, Westfall, 19th of February of year 32 since the opening of The Dark Portal.
It had been an uneventful day in Westfall, much like the day before and the day before that. Several hours past midday, a stranger arrives at the town of Moonbrook, a female human wearing robes of purple, dark green and gold. Over her back clings a staff with a dark red crystals and on her belt a book and pouches, the marks of a Mage. The locals and the homeless of the town keep their distance as the stranger walks around, looking around until she stop by the abandoned cart next to what remains of the Inn. The stranger stands there for a while, taking an occasional sip from a hipflask. Minutes pass before the stranger moves again. With some effort, the stranger climbs on the driver's bench and stands up facing the center of the Moonbrook. Taking a deep breath she pulls out a wand, gesturing with it into the air, speaking hushed words and then points as her own throat. As she begins to speak, her voice is amplified by the power of magic to be heard across the town loud and clear.
"People of Moonbrook. May I have your attention for a moment?"
The amplified voice wakes up several sleeping hobos and scaring off several cats, causing them to dart away. With the attention of the locals caught, the stranger continue speaking.
"Before you ask, no, this is not an announcement in the name of the Alliance. Nor is this another comeback of the Defias Brotherhood. No, what I have is something different."
The stranger gestures in an arch around her.
"Look around you, look around Westfall. What you see are endless fields of yellow, once prosperous farmlands and mines. What remains now is poverty."
"The Alliance may have been good at one point. However, it has grown too large to sustain itself, It no longer acts for the good of its citizens, those in power send your children to war, set taxes to sustain their bloody campaigns, have an overly complex justice system that bends to the benefit of those who created it, not to even mention violence and unjustful treatment from the very guards that are meant to protect us."
"Trying to change the system is a hopeless battle of bureaucracy and an uprising demanding change by force will only share the Defias Brotherhoods fate."
"What I offer is a chance, that is, without lying, potentially dangerous. It is an opportunity to pack up what little you have and leave the Alliance - Leave to forge a new place for ourselves. A place where we may be free of the Alliance laws, free of discrimination, free of oppression."
The stranger lift her hand and perform a series of gestures with her fingers, a ball of blue fire spark into light above her palm. The blue flame flickers and cast a cold light upon the caster which cause some of the locals to back away.
"I can only bear the fire to sheen the light of hope through the dark, but it is for you to decide if you choose to follow."
"The Alliance may disagree with our claim, if they wish to. That is their freedom, their choice. They can however not extinguish our flame... because what we follow is an ideal... and an ideal is eternal. It will burn on forever."
"Nahrune'enor"
"We are the Azure Flame."
The stranger falls silent and watches at the silent crowd of homeless, drifters and transients. She performs a curtsey at the crowd and hop off from the cart, causing many of them to take another step back, wary. The stranger then begins to walk the road to the east, carrying the blue flame on her palm as she goes.
Not a single soul follows.
---
Soon after that day, rumors and stories of the encounter begun to circulate around Westfall, each rumor more wild and absurd than the previous, ranging from the return of the Defias Brotherhood to a coven of Necromancers that would take away children that did not return home before dark. Whatever remain the truth behind this group, blue flames could be seen to flicker in the night from the windows of the abandoned mage tower by south-eastern corner of Westfall.Westfall, 3th of March of year 32 since the opening of The Dark Portal.
The blue lights in the windows of Mortwake's Tower in the south-eastern corner of Westfall have died out.
Weeks ago, since the appearance and the speech of the stranger with the blue flame in Moonbrook, the flames have burned in the windows of the tower each night. For several weeks time, strange folk have come and gone to the tower, and suddenly... it is all quiet. At first the locals dare not to investigate the tower. It could be the den of a sleeping beast of what all they know. Yet in a few days, curiosity takes hold and a group of Moonbrook citizen travel to the tower to find out the truth. When they return, they say the following:
"There is nobody in there! The tower lay abandoned!"
Indeed, a brave soul visiting the tower will find no trace of magic nor mark of anyone living in there. Yet directly facing the entrance lay a painted message covering a large portion of the wall that is enough to wash away any doubt of the group existence.

Dun Morogh lay carved into the stone admist the painting for those who spend the time to search it out for clues.Dun Morogh, 7th of April of year 32 since the opening of The Dark Portal.
Among the mountain peaks of Dun Morogh lay the town of Kharanos. A peaceful little town, if one doesn't mind the occasional trouble from the Frost Troll, Trogs and Yeti. Nothing that the local Mountaineers couldn't handle though.
Although not leaving as noticeable mark as to Westfall, the locals of Kharanos had seen a group of strangers moving in and out their little town, bearing the symbol of a blue flame on their chest. Kept by their own, caused no harm and paid for their stay - what would there to be to question? They however have not be seen around for a while. The Innkeeper of Kharanos can tell more to the curious:
"That lot? Aye, know of them. Said they left to Draenor. Most of them did never return."Shadowmoon Valley, 30th of April of year 32 since the opening of The Dark Portal.

A Rangari Scout was hiding in a bush, keeping an eye on the strange group of people that had appear unexpected to the valley.
They stood in a circle, those gathered, surrounded by circles upon circles set to the stone that pave the ground. Towering pillars of stone stood in the background, carved of rough stone. Some of them were leaning, burdened down by the passage of time. Numerous symbols, ancient runes were carved to their surface, yet they were dormant, as silent as the group who stood by the center of the ancient ritual circle made of stone, cloaked in mists and the shroud of the night that surrounded this area of ancient magic.
Most of those gathering wore robes, staves flung over to their back. Several wore armor instead of robes, but carried a number of pouches and a tome by their belt. Another few carried no visible traits of a spellcaster, but stood in the circle nontheless. They were very different from eachother, but united by one common thing.
They were all holding a ball of blue flame upon their palm.
The Rangari waited until the early hours of the morning before returning to Elodor to report to their superiors.*Posters found in every Alliance major city since September, half-a-year since The Dark Portal turning red. As time goes on, some posters fade, some fall off, yet least a few remain*

The group of magi sometime seen present to Kharanos have disappeared. Rumor is of an armoured squadron of Ironforge guards marching into the Tavern and wrecking places downstairs. Since then, the damage to the rooms have been repaired. Almost all citizen were also detained and interrogated following the march of the armoured guards. Whatever the authorities found out, is not available to the public.
Where have the group of magi gone, no-one seems to know.[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Seat of Order's assistant, Duskblade, reports the following:
He is under the belief that a dangerous group has been pardoned for their transgressions. He however believes he have reasons to warrant their disallowance within the city of Ironforge. The Azure Flame are suspected to perform acts of necromancy on Tol Barad.
This caused a roiling sea of discussions that was too hard for me to follow and write down properly.
The talking eventually calmed down, and Senator Boozeboat called for a vote for outlawing the Azure Flame. With total unison the Azure Flame was voted to be outlawed.*Shortly after Duskblade's report, a couple of Senator Boozeboat employees have begun replacing the old wanted posters around Khaz Modan with newer ones.*

Happy hunting! In towns in and around Khaz Modan, the following notice can be found:DANGER
The Azure Flame are violent cult bent on the destruction of Khaz Modan! If spotted, report their whereabouts to a mountaineer.
These notices all have been put up by a death knight, remarkably still cold to the touch.*In response to the announcement to Ironforge Senate and the new wanted posters regarding Skarain and Azure Flame appearing around Khaz Modan, a letter arrives in an envelope together with the usual mail to the Wardens of Azeroth headquarters, addressed to Steyen Duskblade - whose name is followed by a finely drawn pink heart. The letter have no sender. The envelope is of industrial made paper, extremely common and ordinary. The ink used to write the address is likewise ordinary.*
*Within the envelope is another envelope. This one is simply addressed to Steyen Duskblade. The wax seal that closes the envelope bears the symbol of a blue flame. This envelope is made of another quality of paper that is slick to the touch and interesting enough, both water and airproof. The ink seems perfectly ordinary. No magical energy seems to be present in the envelope or in the letter within.*
*Cracking the wax seal and opening the curious envelope reveals a letter inside. If the second envelope seemed unusual, the letter itself breaks all the norm of ordinary. The paper used seems parched and fragile. The ink used is of a hue of blue and smells slightly of alcohol. The letter is written in simple but fine handwriting.*- The Letter:

___
Good Steyen.
Things have spiral out quite far from what was originally agreed, don't you agree? Last time I remember, you were interested on striking a deal, knowledge in exchange of wiggling out a pardon for a certain someone. I waited and waited but ah, you sent me no letter. And I who were so expecting forward to our meeting in candlelight, discussing matters of the dark without neither ones associates standing out in the open or lurking under magical cloaking. Alas, the dreams that we have - roughly half of them ends up buried. Amongst them this meeting of ours.
There is more that I find curious. Not only did you chose to ignore me so coldly, but you ended onto two ends of conflicting opinions with my associates in Tol Barad Peninsula, amidst a most charming graveyard from what I hear. You could have at least sent me a letter, demanding an explanation, or the knowledge gained surrendered. But no, you found it more fitting to brand my entire gathering of like-minded fellows as outlaws and cultists. I can assure you, we are only the former, living "outside" the "laws" of Alliance.
Last time I saw, Tol Barad was not an Alliance town but a pesky little isle in the middle of nowhere that both the Horde and Alliance would, oh, just love to possess to gain a militaristic advantage. Yet, the area remain contested and as far as I can see, in a standstill. Those of mine did commit no crime on Alliance territory and nobody that you would miss got hurt.
It seems that the Alliance trend is to brand whoever that happens to cross their paths with crossing interests as an enemy of the state. Quite a healthy diplomatic approach to have, that is. Not excluding the armada and armaments that climb as high as to shadow out the sun and all light even if one gets as far as to "negotiate" with the mentioned world-power.
Does hearing this make you still wonder why some of us, those with sufficient power and knowledge chose to split off from the Alliance? Oh, I can assure you, we tried to fit in. We tried to blend in and play by your rules, yet all that we got was scorn and spit upon our faces - no matter how nice we try to be.
Yet, while you did not see fit to ask for an explanation onto why The Azure Flame was to Tol Barad, I shall grant you that.
My associates were on the island, as part of my suggestion, to which they agreed. The cult in question whose camp we wrecked was one I had been doing negations with. The Azure Flame seeks knowledge and does not discriminate the source. In my negotiations, it turned out pretty soon that the entire "cult" was only a gathering of imbeciles following blindly the orders of their extra-mysterious "master". Since the whole lot struct me as the crazed sort, I did propose to my associates to take them down - for the good of the world and to expand our own knowledge while at it.
In that regard, I must say that what they tried to do: create constructs of bone, infused with the souls of the innocent (or whoever poor sod would end to their hands) turned out to be extremely impractical knowledge to us. There is not a single practitioner of necromancy in our ranks that would be interested of binding the massive load of souls to create such an aberration. Not only such is immoral, but our interests are scholarly, not raising an army. Where would we be needing such? Besides, trying to raise an undead army would surely irk Ebon Blade, Cenarion Circle, Argent Crusade and every other world-protecting organisation out there. That is not the kind of attention that we need. Destroying or dominating the world is not included in our list of interests.
While still on the subject, my associates did bring one of the dark-robed fellas whose camp we razed alive to our stronghold, hiding him from view before you and yours showed up to the site. I must say, he had quite the self-destructive tendencies. Apparently, failing your master means that you are unworthy to live, lesser than a worm and not deserving to live. While tearing his memory into pieces, I did come across the face of his employee. A pretty dead looking Blood Elf, a bullet-size hole decorating their once-so-fancy forehead. Our dark-robed friend remembers his boss making reference to "the Damned" in a sense that I presume means more than reanimated deceased people in general. If you can make any use of that knowledge, feel free to!
And yes. Our friends, whom camp we razed, were definitely a cult. Following "the Master"'s word and whatnot. Let me elaborate what is the difference between "them" and "us", as you and your associates to the Senate have this awful tendency to fling the word "Cultist" into places where it does not belong.
A Cult is a near fanatical sect that follows a religion, deity or belief. Can be Light, Old Gods, Loa, The ancient spirit of the Oak or whatnot. A mysterious master also qualifies, if one worships that thing.
We worship nothing. We follow no religion. We bow to no Master. Thus, we are not a Cult.
What the Azure Flame is a 'Collective'. A loosely linked group of individuals, connected by our interest to magic and our will to remain unbound. We bow to no king or queen, leader nor tyrant. Each one of us is free to pursue the path of their choosing without restrictions and discrimination. While this obviously does sound reckless and dangerous to you, we do self-regulation in place and decide internally if some of us have step out of the line and became a risk for the collective. None of us are a supporter of mindless slaughter, madness or stupidity - and we like to keep it that way.
We left the Alliance knowing that the faction would not accept our ways. We have kept out. We have stayed away. Yes, we have stayed to Westfall. Yes, we kept a gathering point to Dun Morogh for a time. Those were only temporary solutions, never meant to be permanent, although our departure from Kharanos got a slight shove after quite horrendously failed negotiations with Senator Bavragor. You can't expect me to consider it my duty to oblige to a demand of a Senator to create anti-magical bullets through my skills in enchantment when I am the Speaker, the public face of a collective that -expected- the Alliance to turn against us at some point. It's like you handing a dagger to the hands of an Orc to be used to stab you in the back later. That is where my official "Outlawfullness" started, after we made a quite blasting departure from the "hospitality" of Ironforge, regardless of whether you want to believe this "slippery tongue spilling lies about senators" that the Ironforge Officials oh so lovely worded.
Spread posters all around Khaz Modan for what all I care. We don't have the 'slightest' of interest in that area, whether you chose to believe me or not. We have left the Alliance for good, without the slightest of intention to ever come back, "ask forgiveness" or whatever disillusioned thoughts you might have.
Not a single denizen of Khaz Modan have seen the symbol of blue flame in nearly a year, and if destruction of Khaz Modan is what you are after, issue a call to the Twilight's Hammer or The Burning Legion instead of us. I am sure they'd be more than happy to raze the mountain-kingdom to the ground for you.
What more, The Ironforge Senate have issued a bounty not only on me, but to my associates. Let me warn you, they 'tread on dangerous waters'. We have kept away, as far as we can from the Alliance. Our paths cross once, and the Alliance decide to start hunting us. Like a cornered beast, chase us long enough; we will turn and bare our fangs.
You do 'not' want that.
Have you ever felt desperation? To have your life crumble all around you, leaving you with nothing? You probably have, as a Death Knight. I to have seen that. I have both felt and witnessed that. My Master Drustai, the second most powerful individual necromancer on Azeroth, rivalled probably only by Amal'thazad, the Arch-Lich of the Ebon Blade, was inches away from turning all of her knowledge against the Alliance. All that because an Alliance Judge saw it fit to turn against those whom you cared about, instead of her. If not for me standing by her side, she might have just done that.
Likewise, those under The Azure Flame are now my family. They may be the most dysfunctional family ever, but a family nonetheless. I will take whatever action that I need to protect what I have built. It have so far mostly meant about staying out of reach, but I am willing to change my approach if needed.
Should you see a reason to respond, the address I have given you have not changed.
Signed by,
Skarain Feirand
Speaker of The Azure Flame
Ps: Keep the letter away from fire. It catches fire extremely lightly. I had originally planned on to cast a minor enchantment to cause the letter to combust once read but I decided otherwise. Spread it to your friends for what all I care.
pss: Don't bother to ask a mage to scry for me using the letter. I already cast spells to mess up with the sympathy, not to even mention the other protections I have around me.
Ironforge Senate Session, 20th of October
Written by Chancellor Blackforge.
Steyen Duskblade began by reporting an appeal have come in from a wanted criminal of Ironforge, Skarain Feirand. As she and her group intends on joining the fight against the Legion, it would seem counter-productive to have a warrant on their members in these dire times when they come to aid. After some discussions back and forth regarding this, a vote was called for handling the matter, resulting in a nullification of the warrant. They are free to come and go as they wish, to better fight the Legion.
[...]
When the reports were done, the word got free. First to raise a topic was Skarain Feirand that wished to contact a person responsible for diplomacy and such, to which we pointed out that our Seat of Relations had recently left us. However we still have our Seat of Transactions, which should suit the need for now. Recommended her to send a letter to him to be able to reach him...9th of February

The Hunt for Kain began from the gates of Stormwind, as the trackers of the group began to search for the scent of Kain. Out of sudden, a Stormwind Guard came in running, bringing report from a SI:7 agent, working for Archmage Nakada, who had sighted an illusioned Kain and a woman taking a portal leading from Stormwind to Stormshield. The group wasted no time and conjured a portal for themselves to travel to Draenor. In Stormshield, they were greeted by an incredibly grumpy Gnome, giving them further directions from the Agent to travel to Elodor. Being at a loss of leads for a time, the trackers were just about catching scent as Magistrate Hutchins got a lead from the elf Littlepip, giving them the direction. The group continued south, along the road, guided the last part by a Draenei Anchorite who did not speak Common at all. Making their way past Embaari Village, through a dark cave and an Arcane barrier, the group finally caught up with Kain.
Kain Templeman and several of his allies were in the middle of a grand spellwork, including the elf Littlepip and Skarain Feirand. Kain stepped apart from the spellwork, in order to face the hunters. A battle endued, with Kain and his allies using greatly empowered spells, drawing forth energy from the ritual circle. Walls of Fire, Tidal Waves, Shocks of Lightning, Fields of Darkness and conjured blades all assaulted the group, who responded with spell, steel and technology, including a Steam Engine.
After a long and tiring battle, the Hunters emerged victorious. Their interference was enough to disturb the spell, which proved to difficult to be hold together to the spellcasters injured in battle. The spell went out of control, rays of energy searing upon the Caster's flesh, and concluded in a discharge of energies (explosion). Once the dust was settled, Littlepip lay badly injured on the ground, Kain's body charred (and turning to violet dust upon touching) and a pile of clothing in the place of Skarain, the body nowhere to be seen. Littlepip was after some argument by the group given 'coup de grace'. Possessions of the fallen were taken by various individuals.
Many those who joined to the hunt returned home injured, some pretty badly. Lady Blackwood became a widow by the death of Kain, and the 'Azure Flame' was proclaimed to have died with him.

- FAQ:
- Do my character need to be a Mage/Warlock to join?
No. The guild does have a heavy magical presence but that doesn't mean that every character has to be a spellcaster.
Do you have any kind of Uniform?
No. Each character wears what they see fit. It's rare for members of the Azure Flame to display their alignment out in the open either.
What level characters can join?
There is no level requirement.
Do you do any PvP or PvE?
No. Our guild is exclusively focused on Roleplaying. Most of our members are max-level, simply for the fact that it opens up more possibilities in where to roleplay at.
Do you have a website?
No.
How do you keep in contact with eachother?
Through an in-game channel as well as a text-based Discord-group.
Do you accept new roleplayers?
Yes.
- Core Values:
- 1.) Independence - The Flame intend to have no part in the conflict between the Horde and the Alliance. It is not their fight. Likewise, the Flame will make sure that they are not dependent on the aid of anyone, else their independence and ability to chose their own path will be compromised. As default, the Flame is the enemy of anything or anyone who attempts to dominate or destroy the world, such as the Burning Legion.
2.) Magic - is an important part of the society for the Azure Flame. Being few in numbers, they lack an army of soldiers to defend themselves from the threats of the world. Magical might equals power. The Flame will do whatever they need to grow in strength to be prepared to fight for the matters that they deem important.
3.) Sanctuary - serving as a haven outside of Alliance reach, the Flame offers a home and safe environment to all whom feel wronged by the Alliance or simply want nothing to do with it. As result, it is one of the few places in the world where one can be open about their practice of the dark arts.
- Ranks and Hierarchy:
- Ranks within Azure Flame have minimal impact upon Roleplaying, and rarely even surfaces in roleplaying. Each member is considered equal, which the circles are meant to reflect. The outer circles are not considered inferior to the inner circles. The purpose of the inner circles is only to direct and protect the Flame whilst the outer circles enforce the fact of "Strength in Numbers", numbers that can be used to the benefit of both individual and the Flame.
Third Circle - Loosely aligned individuals who seek Azure Flame for shelter, aid or protection whilst driving their own benefits. Not very committed to the organisation.
Second Circle - Individuals committed to the organisation, interested in driving the Azure Flame forward alongside their own goals.
First Circle - The inner circle of the Flame, dedicated on protecting the Flame from internal and external threats while driving forward the benefits of the Flame.
---
Speaker - Part of either the Second or First Circle, a Speaker is a "public face" for the Flame, a spokesperson who represents the Flame and their interests.
- Guild Rules:
- In Character Rules
-Do not Harm the Flame and it members.
-Do not Steal from the Flame and it members.
-Do not Betray the secrets of the Flame.
Within the Flame, as long as one does not breach these three rules, one is free to do almost anything they wish. Be warned, however. If something threatens to endanger the Flame, the inner circles will act upon it.
"Terms of Service" - Out of Character Rules
Before joining the group, we hope you to agree that your character is open to be harmed, open for permanent death and you will accept the consequences for your character actions even after leaving the group IC. We are not friends with everyone and that is potential to put your character in a risk. An immersive environment requires that the players accepts whatever comes, providing that it makes sense from an In Character standpoint.
Otherwise, we wish you to agree to the following:
1.) Your character is not "untouchable" or "overpowered". When it come to conflict, it won't be enjoyable for the other player if you can dodge every attack or are an unbeatable overlord able to defeat anything. Keep it interesting for both sides, have strengths and weaknesses alike.
2.) You will refrain from meta-gaming. Meta-gaming is when you use information acquired outside of Roleplaying in your roleplaying. OOC info in IC in others words.
2.5.) If you think you have been meta-gamed against at, we want you to look into the situation calmly. Do not raise a big noise, but ask politely OOC where they have got the information from. Pause RP if necessary. If they lack a valid source, you do not need to acknowledge their claim and may leave the situation through OOC means as nothing would have happen. Contact a Guild Officers if necessary.
3.) Always leave the outcome open when you write an emotes that concern another player. Let them decide whether they are affected by it or not.
4.) You will not corpse-camp other players in WPvP. Corpse-camping is killing the same player repeatedly without giving them an opportunity to heal or run.
5.) Any ERP that you may do will be kept in private channels and out of sight.
6.) You will not disturb or grief other people roleplay.
7.) You will be friendly and respectful towards others within the group..
8.) You acknowledge that your words and actions represent the group when wearing our Guild Tag, whether it is ingame or on the forums and you will not bring us into shame.
9.) You will abide to the WoW Terms of Service, follow the Game Rules, RP-PvP realm rules and use no cheats, hacks or anything deemed bannable by Blizzard.
For more information, contact: Skarain, Azapha, Hutchins, Liraei or leave a response in this thread.

'Three mages, a mountain peak and a staff. Empowered by the chill of Northrend, tempered by the lightning of the peaks.'
Nice rituals we had.

1 -) High Treason against the Crown.
2 -) Assault against the Senator of War Bavragor Stonehearth.
3 -) Espionage.
Physical description: Middle-aged woman of avarage height with a slim but nimble build. Reward: 20 Gold pieces Offered by the Senator of War.
Contractor: Bavragor Stonehearth.
----------------------------------------
Skarain Feirand is known for a slippery tongue and may try to trick you by spelling lies about the Senators, she is not to be trusted and if sighted either contact the nearest authority or the Mountaineers. Information which leads to the capture or death of Skarain Feirand is rewarded by half the original gold. The character is highly trained in the Arcane and it is not recommended to be fought against. If you decide to bring the reward back it is we highly recommend spell protection as well as overwhelming her. If caught she is to be executed on the spot, bring her head back as proof. She was last spotted in Ironforge along with a purple hooded ally, presumable a mage as well. Good hunting.
In the aftermath of the events, two Magi conversed in a remote hideout far-away from civilization.
Skarain: He would not have wanted me dead if not for that.
Kain: Use every opportunity to your advantage; let nothing dissolve to mistakes and waste.
Kain: For now, we must move and rest - long days await.
Skarain: Agreed.
Skarain: But we will face them together.
Kain: Nahrune'enor.
Skarain: Nahrune'enor.
For 'certain reasons', Azure Flame will be for a time with a much much much more tight requirements in their recruitment. Among those being reasons such as: being a pain in the arse to 'find' in RP to begin with! Not to even mention building up trust to be let among themselves.
Regardless, fun times to come!

Me and my guild (House of Yore) are actually really interested in taking this bounty. Our guild has a somewhat negative history with her and Elgus would really love it to be in her way, this being a very good excuse. Also our guild loves gold!

Will do.
I wish you good luck in your hunt. Skarain is a cunning one who have a long history when it comes into being wanted, so she know this game well. Should turn out to be interesting. Let's have fun trying to outsmart each other!
I will be leaving some breadcrumbs to follow, or make an appearance somewhere in due time. You may have to wait for a while though. My Real Life is relatively hectic and I can not always predict beforehand when all I have time to be around to roleplay or arrange anything.
Will be in touch!

And we still do not even require you to join the guild to join the group fully IC.

Aye, we are around. Admitted, since late WoD does not attract to much people, activity goes up and down in spikes. I to are busy with a new job, but we still roleplay occasionally.
Looking forward on seeing you (and others) return among us, Virra. We've got a great new HQ to! No more skulking in taverns.

Re: [A] The Azure Flame [Unguilded, Neutral, Magic] - [Disbanded]
Skarain, I am tempted in joining Azure Flame RP-wise. I am heavily attracted by the idea of a group of rogue individuals wishing to live outside of Alliance's reach. Let me know if you have a 'spot' for a shady character with ambiguous morals (but no definite magical skills) in your group.

We sure do! The Azure Flame welcomes anyone seeking a life outside of the Alliance boundaries. This include Rogues, Warriors and all classes the game has to offer. It's the personality and their goals that matter.
Even a Priest would be welcome to "guide us into the Light", providing that they agree not to betray our secrets, much in the way that Priests have their Oath of Silence in regard confessions.

With total unison the Azure Flame was voted to be outlawed.

That's a double negative, that leads to a positive. So now Outlaw Rogues are not Outlaws,

The Azure Flame was never wanted in Stormwind. An earlier pardon were given to one of us, due to Ironforge not being interested (at that time) to pursue a warrant that only losely connected the person into the Flame.Fenodyree wrote:Skarain wrote:[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

However, since Ironforge and Stormwind are allies, we are on our toes on either of the cities. Never know when someone chose to take "justice" into their own hands.
Bad or not, that was a good one.Cid wrote:That sounds (L)awful to me.
Yeah, I'm bad.
Also, we don't mind being Outlawed a bit. Since the creation of the guild, we always -expected- it to happen sooner or later. Creates for some interesting roleplaying the fact that there are groups on the Alliance side of Roleplaying that do not agree with the Alliance.

Many thanks for more recruitment material, Webbles. Perhaps not the best kind of attention, but hey, free advertisement. Can't complain about that.
