Echoes In The Dark - An evil thing

Voices echo around you in the swirl of the tavern.

Drinks clink as friends cheer each other, loud thuds can be heard as others tap each others shoulders.

You sit alone in the corner uninterested by the events around you. You came here in the hope of some direction.. or perhaps easy prey?

You lift your drink to your lips and down the remainder before deciding to leave.

As you get up and leave you walk passed an empty table with a book laid open on it.

For a moment a glimmer, a flash, catches your attention from the book and you direct you gaze to it.

As you move closer you see letters dancing upon the open pages, you raise an eyebrow and lean in closer.

For just a moment the letters solidify and remain still..

"Do you hear the echoes in the dark?"

No sooner have you finished reading the line of words do the letters shift again.

"Raven Hill"

And then the words disappear to be replaced by ordinary text. Rows and rows of words stand in front of you yet you cannot comprehend any of them.

You turn away, curiosity piqued.

I'm very tempted to have one of my lesser used alts join this, but worried if I can find the time and commitment.

So tempted though.
