[A] Vigilante Anonymous

The heavy rain drops splutter off the side of her helm, rapidly running down the sides. She stares down at the crippled heap in front of her. It was once a man but after the righteous fury that she’d just induced on him, he was now just a message, a symbol. People believed her methods too violent, but justice is justice and these days everyone seemed too afraid to rain down true punishment.

Justicar lifted up her bloodied and bruised hands, curiously peering down at the damage she’d caused herself this time, the rain slowly washing her hard work away.
The man in front of her shivered on the floor, in pain.
“That is what you receive for pickpocket,” Justicar hissed, her accent strong and true.
The man doesn’t seem to respond.
Justicar slowly lifts her head turning to her team of masked Vigilante’s.

“Let this be a first. Crime will no longer take from the hands of those who’ve worked hard. No longer will we let fear be the rule of this city. We are now the fear, we will become it and we will make it crime that cowers at night.”

Vigilante Anonymous is a recently formed guild made of alliance citizens fed up with the state of crime and punishment in the city. Tired of living in the shadow of the wider criminal society, populated by thugs, immoral mercenaries and a punishment system too lenient.

Unfortunately their method of getting results is rather violent and brutal. Their absolute conviction in their beliefs and ideals being their ultimate driving force, allowing them to don alter egos and violently protect the city from what they feel to be it’s diseases.

Although they are extremely violent in their methods, they DO NOT kill, maim or remove body parts. Despite their almost psychotic sense of justice, they do have their own moral compass.

Due to the fact that this guild is slightly inspired by the theme of “super heroes” the concept has the potential of becoming too silly. So I’d kindly ask all those that join to avoid from lolling and/or never letting their character getting injured. Also I do not wish to ever have our guild pick an IC fight with anyone that doesn’t OOC wish for one. I do not want my guild to impose RP upon anyone, it’s not fair.

Recruitment.
(We will not be actively recruiting until some time in January).
Due to the guild being new, for now the process will be to give me or one of the officers a whisper in game and we’ll try and arrange an IC meeting on the members heroic alter egos. In the future, everything will be arranged IC.

So who can join?
All races and classes but we are first and foremost a civilian guild. We want ordinary characters who then don masks and personas to become these over the top characters. We at VA believe it has greater juxtaposition and opens up more room for character development. We'd like to avoid inviting mages/casters/Death Knights, mainly due to the fact none of these are ordinary in the slightest, nor civilians.

Stable Boys - YES!
Nurse - YES!
Demon Hunter - No
Necromancer - No
Crusader of the Light - No

What we aim for
We hope to achieve a fun and action filled guild with a big emphasis on character development and story. We don't want our characters to be perfect, it's the flaws in a character that makes them interesting. Let's weave a tale or two and have a blast!

Guild Ranks
Mastermind (GM) - The Mastermind of the entire organisation.
Champion (Officer) - The founding Vigilantes
Masked Crusader - A Vigilante who has proven themselves above and beyond the call of duty.
Crusader - A Vigilante, no longer new on the field. One that is ready to serve the pursuit of justice.
Mask - A mix between and initiate and a trial vigilante.
Civilian - A rank for all the civilians in the guild.

Not just yet. For now I'd prefer it to be ordinary citizens-turned into heroes. As aposed to resurrected juggernauts of death. DKs are pretty op lorewise.
They'd be little challenge in the plight of the undead, since they don't tire and their sense of pain is numbed.

Nobody has to die anyway. If you kill and maim everyone there won't be anyone left to rp with. That is indeed our intention.
We want to be a guild that can be countered and a guild that will aid in generating fun, drama-free rp.

Just a note to all those thinking of joining. We've been receiving high volumes of players who's characters are mages/conjurers, etc.
Please note as stated in the original post, this guild is a civilian guild of vigilantes. So ordinary citizens, not the magically gifted. Apologies in advance if this mucks up anybodies plans.
