It is worse. Warlocks shouldn't have their demons out in Stormwind or major cities. There's even a source for a dev that says this. Where are the NPC Warlocks in the city? In the Slaughtered Lamb. Warlocks are like biological warfare - they are used because they're such a powerful force, so morality falls short to victory. There was also a Warlock only quest which had you kill someone who was going to inform authorities of the activity within the Slaughtered Lamb.

Their magic is dangerous as hell. I mean, look at the Trial of the Crusader, a grand Warlock lost control and summoned an Eredar Lord in a controlled public affair. Fel magic and relations with demons should logically be frowned upon by the average person.

To a non-magical person, Warlocks would look like power hungry bastards that are fraternizing with the greatest enemy Azeroth has ever had. The majority of our characters were around in Warcraft 3, so they would have seen first hand what the Scourge and Burning Legion are capable of. To see people walking around playing with the magic that got Azeroth into the mess in the first place would be insulting. To a mage, Warlocks are the ones who were succumbed by evil magic. Fel is evil.

The use of Warlocks in the army of the Alliance and Horde is more of a statement of how both sides are willing to use anything in their arsenal to win, despite knowing the dangers of those weapons. If you play a Warlock, keep all of this in mind, you're protected by the law but why would anyone actually like you? You're a walking reminder of the closest to extinction the races of Azeroth have ever come.

1: Not what I was talking about. We are agreed on the demons out-thing.

2: All kinds of magic are incredibly dangerous and volatile. See the blue side of the Nexus war. I remember reading a scene with some dead mages due to miscalculations in rituals/rune patterns, but I can't remember where.

3: Fel magic use does not equal relations with demons. Sure, a power-hungry warlock will likely try to enslave demons to further increase his power, but more cautious individuals might not. Fel is not directly drawn from demons, it is just their preferred type of magic as they don't have to worry too much about the consequences, basicly having gone through worse by being demons at all. It is corruptive as hell, but you're also less likely to use Fel in everyday situations where a lazy mage might use the Arcane, which also is corruptive, but again, has more everyday applications.

4: Stormwind humans and Gilneans (the majority of alliance RPers in my experience) were not involved in the WC3 campaign.

5: Genuine question, not retorics: Wasn't the Nelfs meddling with the Arcane the real reason the Legion started making attempts to conquer Azeroth?

I hate Locks who really think that they are the one lock who wont become corrupted. If you RP a Lock the story is either one of a slow descent to the Legion, or one about your death before you become Legion.

Sure IC you can do the whole "it wont happen to me, im different" shit but pls dont believe it ooc. Fel is the worst thing in wow for corrupting someone.

Also I do think that even though Fel and Locks are distasteful to the masses, DB has always been to zealous regarding lawful Locks. You cant just smash them in the mouth for being a lock and imo AD Does this far better.

Agreed on all points. Had some good RP with my lock on AD. Less so on the DB copy of the same char.

When I DM events, I do a roll myself to decide which of the players is gonna be the DM villains' bitch.

I must confess, I do love your events. Raene's too. You are both so rich and imaginative in your descriptions. You are both also superb at handling large groups of people at once. Good job.

I struggle to roleplay a class I don't find exciting gameplay wise. Mage feels very boring in the way they function mechanically, by comparison to how they feature in lore, and I end up playing Arenfel less 'cause that divide bores me to shit.

I never find the time to write an entry in threads as this, character views on others, RP Confessions or whatever they are to describe your character or your roleplaying style.

I'm tired of hearing "Gm and officers should create Rp for people" I agree of course in a general sense but ... what can I say by now it's just really making me feel like i'm being hit by a dead horse.

I am sad whenever I hear that yet another person has moved to AD. I feel like it's killing DB more than our incessant need to berate each other.

I have a severe OCD where my character's spec must be reflected in how I role-play the character. I for example could not happily play a Priest that was Shadow for PvP when said Priest ICly detested the Shadow.

^Thats the same with me, same reason you will only see my mages as fire and you'll never see my rogue using anything but daggers. Only exception might be warrior, but there I usually change to arms during rp due to the ridiculousness of using 2 two handed weapons.

Sometimes when I'm horribly bored, I make a random char on AD, and go to Goldshire just to read all the horrible TRP2 descriptions. When I log off again I'm usually crying due to bleeding eyes.

Agreed. To many RPers just cant make their own RP and too many cant include others in their RP. So you end up with Guilds breast feeding RP to its members.

I hate it when people roleplay overtly ooc opinions into their characters.

Person A sees a group of female Draenai and makes a reference to them all defineltly being Lesbians.

Ok I know some people like to do the female lesbian thing with Draenai but IC not every damn group of Draenai females are Lesbians.

Small and doesn't happen often but annoyin. ( and I don't even rp a smelly Draenai)

Osmand cant play a Draenei or Anethion would smite him!

Rp'ing with other ( more experienced ) kaldorei makes me incredible nervous because with all the time I've spend in SW, fearing that I humanized Aslaya too much.

What's wrong with a Night Elf that lives in Stormwind being "humanized"? Makes perfect sense to me.

Not, if she only lived among the humans for about a year and has spend a 1200 years among her kin.

This is more difficult for me as I haven't rp'ed a lot among other Kaldorei, learning their habits and handling. This explains some inexperience on that matter and thus the nervousness when I'm in the presence of another Kaldorei.

Well, just use that feeling in your role-play. Her total embrace of human culture (and magic) is exactly what makes Delidah so interesting to play around other Night Elves.
