Forum Update - 5/8/14

Afternoon folks.

A thread was posted essentially saying changes should be made (http://www.defiasrp.com/t8195-remove-half-of-the-things), I and many of you didn't agree with the severity of some of the changes, so I decided to go through the thread and try to make changes without pulling the forum apart/deleting basically all of it.

Sections created

- "Guides" - Located in the Introductions & Information section as a sub-forum. I've gone through the forum and found as many of the posted guides as I could. These have all been moved here. The section is open to posts, so any further posting of guides is allowed.

- "Forum Archive" - A graveyard for dead sections and old posts across the forum. Within the archives you'll find:

- The Graveyard
- General Chat Graves
- Game Related Graves
- Events Graves
- Registry Graves
- IC Graves
- LFRP Graves
- Defias Graves
- Section Graves (For dead group sections - their posts are within it)

These are all self-explanatory. I've gone through every section of the forum and moved all threads beyond the 2nd page to their respective grave sections. This was because people have expressed wanting to be able to look back at past posts, so I can't simply turn the auto-pruning on. What I'll do is do some pruning once a month and move everything from page 3.

As I mentioned in the thread mentioned above, I'm still unsure about what to do with two sections, whether to keep them as they are, or move them to the archive.

Both of these have shown strong use in the past, but have been left quiet for some time now. If people could simply say whether or not they'd like them to be moved, that would be massively helpful.

The Stormwind Community has now been moved to the archive section. Still needing a member of the Horde to way in regarding their gathering section.

the last post was in january 2014, which is an ooc battleground thread. before that, its 2012... i think we can safely move that also; or atleast its nothing that can't be posted in the sections we already have.

Only on DefiasRP can an effort to reduce clutter on the forums lead to creating more clutter on the forums.

I found this when searching for Warlocky stuff. Could it be moved to Guides? I would consider it as a resource for roleplaying and thus qualified for the section.
