A widespread statement made by the Kingdom of Stormwind

On the night of the 19th July a masquerade party turned into a mass shooting. The criminals behind it were the Blackbrew Mercenaries and the Dwarven District Company. These two groups have now been moved to the Kingdoms list of Terror groups. Their members are now wanted by the Kingdom, dead or alive, and can be turned in to the authorities in exchange for money. Be on the lookout for tabards and faces you recordnize. If you have any further information, contacts the military or the guards. They were last seen leaving Stormwind on a boat.

The criminal Ramirez Hex is wanted dead and should be killed on sight.

((To be fair, titling the thread that way was a bit iffy. However, the groups did commit a crime and are wanted by said guard organizations. So, the notice is still quite valid ignoring the word choice. No reason for people to get up in arms over it.))

Can it Brad, no need to start this. You don't have to accept their authority but I sure as heck will and hopefully so will the rest of the Cartel. Our "heist" got a bit out of control because of the random shootings, not to start with the mass hostage situation. It's only logical for us to get elevated into "terrorist group".

This means that we won't show our faces anywhere close to Stormwind, but that doesn't mean that we won't be RPing elsewhere. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time. I won't speak for the brews, but I will speak for the Cartel and I hope that every Cartel fellow who reads this post respects my decission, no matter what the IC/OOC reasoning for Helmuts post might have been.

Got nothing to do with accepting consequences and whatnot. I wasn't a part of the heist, and frankly this is nothing but good RP for pretty much everyone involved. Just stop pretending to be speaking for the state of SW, because you're not.

Then boycott or opt out of it. Role-play away from Stormwind? No one is forcing you to obey the dictates of the council, and god knows we need activity elsewhere.

It can seem preachy and power-hungry claiming authority but we have no tangible body to interact with regarding the governance of our environment. Helmut's wording - pointed out by Drustai - is a little fuzzy, but it's the the most poignant way to include all parties on either side of the fence.

Or we could always walk up to Varian and explain the situation in the hope he actually says something else than his Death Knight speech ... Oh wait.

The thing is the guard guilds are PART of the Kingdom of Stormwind they uphold the Kingdom of Stormwinds laws if you BREAK these laws then the Kingdom of Stormwind will announce for your arrest and by extension the guards shall be the physical manifestation of that Kingdoms retribution, so all in all this complaining is just stupid either way you look at it you broke the law and people will come for you as either way if it is issued by helmut or by the guards it's still the Kingdom of Stormwind pursueing you.

Also quit trying to be a hard man on the forums Bradley, I bet Arenfels Flamingos and Swans lift heavier weights than you do.

If we all agree that the guards are legitimately guards and not just people pretending to be, this is legit. A commander of a regiment would definitely have the authority to declare an organisation dangerous to the people of Stormwind.

Except Bradley wasn't even involved in the event so I'm not sure where this ire is coming from. It affords Blackbrew and Cartel members the chance to start a hub outside of Stormwind. Which, by all accounts, is a good thing?

Such a shame that this thread is all about SW council (who afaik have nothing to do with this) And not about the RP.

A State is not just a king, Varian can not do everything himself, no one can. If you take UK and talk about the State you include military, civil service, Government, Police, firefighters, customs and excise, Tax men, to an extent even the BBC.

Guards are the enforcement branch of Varian's Peace, just like our Police keep the Queens peace. There is a direct line from the monarch to the guard therefore guards are a part of the state and represent the Monarch.

Also that swan is quite lovely (tho they can break peoples arms so dont mess!)

Yeah but in this particular case the people being exiled/banished are actually in on it and support the initiative.

Good. Endless circle jerk rp in Stormwind with the same people pulling the same shit only to be found on the same street corner the next day was boring.

We can all agreed to two things in this statement tho!

One, this will only create more roleplay that is interesting on both sides.

Two, Arenfel is fabulous.

We already have a lot of plans for our future, shall be very epic I promise. And to the people who have stated their complaints...Remember that it is a good thing for us and for the community to create new hubs and places to RP. One can only RP so much in SW.

I can understand Bradley's annoyance of this. But Criminals can still demand a trial, since the trial system was put in to help criminal rpers avoid justice. Innocent until proven guilty.
