[H] Cross Realm RP

Greetings!

As some of you might know, I recently changed my main realm to Argent Dawn because of a lack of random roleplay and guilds to interact with. Now, I realize that some value the RP-PvP tag of DB higher than what I sought out AD for, but I'd like to extend those of you who would like some more roleplay an offer:

Cross realm roleplay in an environment similar to that of DB. This means that I, along with my guild (RP-PvP orientated), can invite you over to AD. There you can participate in our events, do random roleplay with us, or you can look around in the RP hubs and perhaps drop by or visit other guilds. Afterwards you can simply leave the group and go back to your daily DB life.
This might also help clear some of the prejudice towards the server that some people have, as you can have a look for yourself at what it's really like.

Of course, this could be done the other way around too, if there are for example any community events that people would like to attend. Just putting the offer out there!

Guessing of course Hordeside, you might want to add that in.

I wouldn't mind some interaction, but unfortunately i do not play on the Horde.

Cross-realm things are always a good thing. Since Blizzard are yet to combine all RP realms (or least all RP-PvP with RP-PvP, etc), always keen to take out every opportunity from the tech we've been given.

Just keep in mind that cross-realm does not work in cities. No matter how many DB people that moves to AD, DB always will be my choice.. Mostly because of exactly that; the pvp tag. It's a nice thing.. Anyway! Gl with it, I'll drop my btag here just in case you someday need an invite to DB. (Do also keep in mind if you need a group of.. lets say as an example 5 people over, the number in the other group needs to be equal. As in 5 people from DB and 5 from AD)

Server loyalty is not always a bad thing - visitors lovely - but not a long term thing. might be fun

It does work in cities. It just doesn't work in Orgrimmar, Stormwind, or on Pandaria.

This is not true.
I don't have extensive knowledge of CRZ, mostly because I haven't been able to test it extensively. But I can tell with full certainty that this is not the case. I've had people over from AD on Defias. We've had almost entire guilds of AD folks on Defias. The leader's realm is preferred.

Isn't Rp-PVP focused guild on an RP server a contradiction? Isn't the rp-pvp of ad, white-gear + auto-attack?

From what I've observed they impose limits like that, usually (during a Northrend campaign that had some clashes as an aside to the main "PvE" story) 400k health maximum and auto-attacks, so people can still don their fancy transmogs for the most part. Then there was something about one side being allowed to cast spells every 10 seconds because they had fewer numbers. It all sounds rather silly to me, and according to the guy telling me, it's not that well-liked around there either, it's just sorta something they do without questioning it.

Time to roll a cult of warlocks and felfire the shit out of them.

That it's an RP-PvE realm doesn't stop us from creating an RP-PvP guild, just like how there are raiding guilds on DB. It's a lot easier to recruit on AD, and keep a guild active. Of course, we lose the auto-PvP-tagged thing out in the world, which is a shame, but it's not that much of a hindrance.
It is however true that many guilds on AD use those rules, but not all do, and we ourselves don't really parttake in them.

Either way, if anyone wants to have a look at AD, hop over for random RP for an evening, or something else, here's my battletag:

do you guys have an /pvp on rule?

Having PvP enabled at all times would make us too attractive a target for griefers and the like, as it's a PvE realm. We don't shy away from a fight, but openly welcoming them at all times would be a bit too much. We are however planning to have days where we have PvP enabled at all times, once we've made a few contacts with Alliance guilds, and we're in roughly the same zones as eachother.

Well, if it works for you, and your happy with the server, there's nothing for me to judge. (except that its not for me and that i find the concept strange as their are rp-pvp servers.)

So, enjoy it.

Well they did mention it was a population issue, so if they could do the same things on an rp-pvp server, then I'm sure they would.

As I said, I'm not judging. The best thing is to find the play-style you like, and join the server type that will get you the most enjoyment out of it. I can only commend that. And as such regardless if I find their play-style weird, since I have my own taste. I think its only good that you're getting the most fun out of your time.

To each their own. For me the benefits of AD easily out number the lack of random pvp. Plus DB RP is not as good as it has ever thought it was.

DB RP isn't a sentient being with a hive-mind Lexy. and how about you shoe off back to AD nub. The griefy shit is the best part about pvp man.

People may play where they prefer, as long as they enjoy it im all good but I never understood why people from other realms hang in a realm-specific forum? Why would I head over to some AD forum? If people have characters on both realms why focus on the other realm while being here? Oh well..each to their own I guess.
