Cross-Faction RP?

(I'm not sure how doable this is on a pvp server, but tbh I play here for the realism that a pve server doesn't have not to slay all the Alliance.)

I wonder if there is anyone on the Alliance side who would be interested in a cross faction RP (that is not pvp)?

Obviously a night elf druid would make the most sense, as they could "train together in Moonglade".
But most night elves would be fine, or most of other races even - except warlocks and DK-s of course.

Edit: RP would be done through Real ID.

Very doable, a lot of our cross-faction business was done through Real-ID whenever someone on Alliance placed an order for 'items' from our Horde guild.

I've done plenty of cross faction rp, but in the end it always ends up feeling limited. The best way to do it is to roll a doppelganger on the other faction and use rp plugins to change your name and such. It's just more convenient that way.

Done a lot of it, and its great. And was doing it in pre-real-ID times. So now its even easier1

So far, things are going fine. Thankfully you can use implented emotes cross-faction, and the rest you have to type anyway with any animation or sound.

I think for me it would be just... weird to roll a draenei and say that it's a tauren.
(But well also I've got no slots left for lol-alts. ^^)

most of our RP is cross faction and agree easier with the advent of real id. before we moved servers we had a cross faction guild (rp wise)

its great fun and would recommend it.

I still prefer alts. For some reason blue text breaks my immersion more then a draenei model instead of a tauren.

But in the end i say; fuck it. It's a whole lot of effort for relatively little gain.

Im open to both methods of crossfaction rp it all seems a lot of fun,.. monny herself had a close run in with a few hordies done threw real id.. was very entertaining

One on one, I can see Real ID working perfectly. But how about larger cross-faction group meetings?

If any Horde (preferably Tauren or Orc, since Forsaken and Sindorei are just too evil) needs a Kaldorei Druid to experiment with (cross-faction RP - get your minds out of the gutter), I'd definitely be available.

I have been in large cross-faction meetings on my previous, RP server. There were interpreters on both sides (not sure if they used Xfire or something like TS tho to communicate).

My tauren would be happy to meet your elfness sometimes. I'll pm you my real ID.

I would so love to rp in Moonglade since My tauren is there for time being, sadly without a computer for the next 3 weeks but after that yes!

I must say, things have exceeded my expectations so far!
This is great fun, or at least I have enjoyed every minute of all the RP-s, and received a lot of tasks to attempt with my character in the future.

Does custom emotes (like "/e runs around madly") get translated too, or can you still understand those on the other faction? Never got to test that.

Not difficult at all, since you have real ID.
And no, custom emotes do not translate. Nothing translates that players themselves get to write, including any addon text.
But you can do it via real id *pulls your ear snickering*.

I must say I was happily surprised at how smoothly that went. I had a fear that I'd have to share my Real ID with a lot of strangers, but I see now that only a few is actually needed. I see great potential here.

Now we just need to Bloodhoofs to all see the light and embrace their Kaldorei brethren (and hawt sisters)... ^^

Looking very much forward to expanding on this first encounter.

I'd sure love for the bunch of us to encourage a sort of... Cenarion inspired group to RP every so often in Moonglade... While a some in the Banner are warlike, others are more spiritual or peaceful.
Perhaps we can hook something up?

Heard a lot of great things from Jondalar and Arkil about this RP and I'm very much looking forward to getting involved ^^ Though perhaps on my own Druid, Halioren, as Evesia would find it terribly hard not to kill you at this moment... or try!
