Also just as Fear of death doesn't necessarily stop people from not acting stupid, also not fearing death, doesn't prevent characters from acting reasonable in the face of a meaningless(and all threats on the streets of stormwind are in essence meaningless)-threat.
Lex the problem with this "scourge" as you so call it is that; who decides what is reasonable? I have never seen anyone claim that it wasn't in their right to kill someone as the RP-situation looked. and it seems that common sense always indicates that the other guy should die. I mean ultimately you never actually how a situation will turn out, unless its happening; and emotes are not a way to properly manage conflict in a way that represents ability.

I like peace and having a "neutral"(ish) guild so that we develop our characters and do other things than just run to war. It's been great! Having internal debates about whether or not we should ICly get involved in W-RP-PVP has been great fun as well.
As long as the story makes sense and we can figure out a way to join in ICly, I'm all for it! Sometimes it can be hard to find reasons to spend time with other guilds, as friends or enemies, so a good war campaign brings us together to argue, laugh and get to know each other.

No you haven't. That's the point; everytime this discussion comes up, is a dude or gal describing a situation where he says; Look at this guy, why doesn't he accept the consequences of his actions/is it in my right to kill him/I think it is? With a description of in the posters eye of "Poor RP" from the dude that should die.
this is because the discussion about killing someone, over the not killing, the severity of punishment etc, isn't a discussion about the validity of consequences; It's a pointless discussion of "What is Good RP". And that varies from person to fucking person, and as such there is no gatekeeper and Thinking there should be, is stupid. (Atleast that's something I reckon you erwt, understands and agree with.)
but I'm disgressing. Good luck with this Skarain, make fun shit happen like you always do

I am actually having a sort-of ish break from wow and RP, beyond weekly RBG's that i organize. However, the thought has been laid and the wheels set turning. I don't seem to be the only one who think this way. Things will happen, sooner or later. How soon and for certain? That i make no promise for.

This makes me lol. I remember you trying to force death on Disciples and even went to the lengths of harassing them to agree with you.
Death should not be forced either way. If people want to charge blindly in to suicidal situations, knock them out, strip them naked and leave them hanging by their feet from a tree. Too many people are obsessed with causing death.
With rp that covers guard-duties, I much prefer "chasing" them away. Gives a chance for future encounters, but also allows them to escape. Just because Beladon might icly -say- he wants them executed, doesn't mean I oocly want it. I prefer the rather cliche "I'll get you next time" but that time never comes. Keeps Rp interesting, evolving and it's nice to have these grudges.
I think it's the duty of both parties to oocly co-operate on a way for both parties to live another day.

Nice reaction, quite hostile. I was only pointing out that I found your statement a little bit hypocritical given the topic. Seems I hit a nerve quite badly here.
I would like to point out during your rant at said Disciple, you said that the character would "have to die", "there was no other choice" and when said Disciple said they did not want Death, you retorted with similar abuse as in your previous post and that refusing to accept death was refusal to accept consequences. Hence why I find your post rather hypocritical, but I best leave it as it is, I don't want to derail this thread further.

Please can you not drag my name through the mud. It is all water under the bridge and I don't appreciate you lying about it all, Bradley. Contact me ingame if you wish to discuss this again rather than derailing a thread. I will be contacting you so that we can sort this problem out. You claim we sorted it but clearly it still leaves a bad taste in your mouth. As for my side of the story on the matter:
You gave me no choices Bradley, you were forcing character death on me. And when I asked "what are you going to do?" You said it was a secret and the murder will never lead back to any-one. Of course I refused, I do not wish to be a god damn extra in your plot to make your character look badass. Tethos was executed for murder and attempted murder, I never forced it upon him and he had a cool death but I wish I had never executed him as I really liked his character. I said to you Bradley that you can "Try and kidnap/torture/stab etc" you can "try" but that was not good enough for you. When my character is murdered I want to be involved in the plot. I did not misunderstand anything you said, it looks like you misunderstood me.
I do not like character death and I wish no-one used murder so frivolously in their boring revenge/cultist plots. Murder leads to execution, so please avoid it. You cannot spend your time murdering hundreds of people and expect to be let off with a slapped wrist, be more realistic. Murder should not be taken lightly.
