A realistic Pandaren language
Calling all Pandaren RPers! Sick of the "OM NOM NOM" ruining your immersion with its stupidity? (I'm looking at you Blooming Lotus!) Here is a solution!
Download [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. Go C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\totalRP2 (or wherever else your WoW install is), and replace the existing totalRP2_DataBase_Languages.lua file with this one. Alternatively, if you don't trust me or something, just copy and paste this code into somewhere on the file yourself:
And voila! You may now choose to learn the TRP Dialect called Realistic Pandaren, with the icon being a female pandaren. It will still appear as Pandaren in square brackets in your chat, but importantly, it won't look ridiculous to non-Pandaren. It will, however, only be readable by anyone else who also has installed this language. So spread the word! (or words, as it's a language)
Note to non-TRP users: I originally made a Tongues language because Tongues is better, but the reality is nobody uses Tongues nowadays, so I did this instead.

I think changing installation files is a permaban thing according to the ToS? Don't get me wrong though, a way to escape the Noms would be cool I just get worried about people being banned or whatever.

Re: A realistic Pandaren language
Its adding a custom TRP language to the TRP installation file, not the installationfiles of wow itself

Re: A realistic Pandaren language
I've seen this custom languages and others like this before, and as a pandaren role-player I don't think I will ever support them, if only for the sole reason that it only works for other people who use the same add-ons, and I am not comfortable with that kind of exclusion. It's too awkard a situation to find yourself in to have a conversation with another pandaren character in this custom Pandaren language, only for another pandaren to join in and not being able to understand his own language. I know this because I have been in exactly this situation multiple times when we experimented with custom Pandaren languages within Blooming Lotus.
My prefered solution is to roll with the punches and turn a a deficit into an asset. The way I have treated it on Paozi is that the Pandaren language just sounds like eating noises to the other races of Azeroth, for the simple reason that it is a language that is derived from the primary way how the ancient pandaren communicated to one another: trough their bellies and the sharing of food! I have had plenty of fun role-play by discussing this language and trying to explain it to non-pandaren characters. Bonus points to Melnerag when his character tried pronnouncing 'Nom' in every possible way imagineable, only for Paozi to reply "Don't talk with your mouth full." That was a fun exchange.
Would I prefer to have an actual Pandaren language that sounds like this:
You bet your ass I would!
Sadly, we didn't get that, so we have to make due, by turning a joke into something more. It's a hassle, but there you go.

Yeah, even though the intention of the language was silly, I just picture it as a series of different pitches of "nom" and weird munching sounds. Like the Murloc language but more restrained.

Re: A realistic Pandaren language
@Magoka It doesn't touch the installation files at all, it only adds something to the TRP2 addon.
@Thelos I had intended to use this between at most one or two people that I knew had it, and it would be pretty easy to know when a Pandaren without it is around. I know Blooming Lotus around the time I poked my head in there would circumvent the om nom nomming by getting simplified mandarin translations off google translate and pasting them in the chat, then saying OOCly what they mean, which seems a bit superfluous to me! The reason I made this is so I can talk to those one or two people without the anxiety that to every non-Pandaren I look utterly ridiculous

Re: A realistic Pandaren language
That seems fair, Adry. I wouldn't want to dictate how you or anyone else plays with their friends. I would only ask that you would refrain from using this custom language I don't use whenever I want to role-play with you lovely people. I would not want this language to become a barrier for our characters to interact.
Though I might be able to spin it in such a way that it is a dialect of Pandaren my character is not familiar with. Like a thick Wandering Isle accent, or something of the like. A creative mind can overcome any obstacle

Re: A realistic Pandaren language
Of course! As I said I only expect a few friends to use this with me, so it'll be easy to see when there's a stray Pandaren amongst us and switch to regular Pandaren instead.
When I was considering doing a Tongues language, as it couldn't have the name Pandaren in chat because of the way Tongues works, I was going to call it instead some specific dialect of Pandaren, which would've been interesting. But then I did this instead
