<Help With A RP Plot>

Hello there RPer's of the Defias Community.
I am fresh on this server and would like some advice's or tip's on this Server's Guild's Etc.
Also i'd want to present my supposed plan of Roleplay for you to comment and help me out with it.

I was thinking of having a unique plot. My Character would be a Warlock tied up to another RPer ( Trapped inside the RPer's body).I'd take the form of a protector or guide to the Roleplayer himself.
My Original thought of some background on this was that upon the demise of my powerful warlock in the past to save himself he attached his spirit to the Chosen Roleplayer's body(Kinda like Sargeras did to Aegwynn in Lore).Upon the Roleplayer's Death my character would die together with him,
That's kinda my First Plan of the Roleplay wanted to just bring it out for you to read and help me out.

It's certainly interesting. How would you RP it from a practical perspective?

I'd Rather be some sort of spirit,ghost following the Roleplayer keeping him from harm and advising him.
Like a Great Watcher.Also if the Roleplay goes in that way i may be reborn as the Warlock i used to be.
Though i would need a tough and serious Roleplayer for such a project also the true identity of my character would be un-known to the Character.

This sounds interesting, may I propose an event to bring your character forward?

I have a few event drafts saved in one word file and one I've been meaning to look into is the hunting of an artifact that would however have a consequence. Perhaps releasing the soul of your character could be said consequence? Would you be up for that? I'm not sure if Cerik is the character I'd use as I have a different destination for him for the next 23 days.

Hmm An Artifact release would be a good choice though i would not corrupt a mage rather some young person in fear that a mage could sense who i am and banish me from his body

That's good, the character I am thinking of is merely a soldier! So the spirit in question is benevolent/good right?

So do we set up any exact day's? I gotta level my character and that take's time if i don't have heirlooms

Add me on Skype: Sanyahom, we can chat some more tomorrow about it, take your time with leveling. If you're roleplaying a ghost you won't need the levels and can simply use spirit via /p, that way I can see you and nobody else can. I used to haunt somebody called Delinith like that on my cultist, then she joined the dark side!

By the way are you horde or alliance? I have a character that I'm going to have killed on the Horde-side soon but in the presence of some Alliance, if you wish - you could be in his runeblade, escape his runeblade, latch onto a different character?

Party chat. You'll look like a ghost and only the character you're 'haunting' will be able to see you!

You'd be using a Rogue because of Stealth to lurk around the host-character? Otherwise it may be tricky to follow him around everywhere.

EDIT: Not to sure a Ghost can hear other people talking to the character, unless their corpse is nearby.

You do know i am not a ghost walking around The Character but am present in his mind and body.
That is a great diffrence.

Not true. I used to RP Ireth as a ghost back before her first ressurection many years ago, RPing her spiritual form using ghost RP with non-dead players and being able to go about and hear everything no matter how far I was from my corpse.

Nice. Must keep that in mind for future, unless they've changed it.

If my Character does free himself i might make my own Warlock Guild or join one existing if anyone know's any?

Warlock guilds... It's complicated. Inran/Drustai/Decurius could tell you more about how and why.

Alright. The Warlock guild i was part in the past was War Sect, a group of Alliance aligned Shadowcasters and Warlocks. Going the legal route, we had severe problems in getting ourselves through and get permission to use our powers for anything in public. At max we had about five members, so the guild kept rather small. The guild eventually died when the Minister of Justice of that time tried to capture the leader himself due of personal reasons, during another session to try get ourselves authorized and acknowledged.

That was the Alliance-aligned route. You can make a shady/unlawful/unauthorized group, but if you are found out by the "good guys" doing "bad things", You'll have a small army knocking by your door.

In general stance, Warlock guilds and the likes can be done, but don't expect getting very large numbers of members. You can maybe get around three to five members, but don't expect any larger boom of people. Warlock already by itself is among the least-roleplayed classes in the Alliance side, and most people already have guilds they belong into.

If you decide to make one, go ahead, but don't expect it to be easy to get members, and then you'll face all the other challenges that come with running guilds. About running guilds by itself, check "Where to start with a guild".

About shady gatherings to try collect and mingle with other Warlocks, see The Underforge.

Who knows. I may be completely wrong, and the Warlock guild you'd set up becomes a real success. Not wanting to crush your dreams, but just telling of personal experiences of past. In the end its your own dedication for a cause or concept that matters.
