(H) Path of Dawnchaser (Tauren & Pandaren)
The sun rolls over Mulgore and Thunder Bluff revealing its vigilant defenders and hardy citizens. In the plains of Mulgore, Thunder Bluff has stood proud despite the Cataclysm, despite the encroaching Alliance in the Barrens, despite the murder of its leader and despite Garrosh.
The Tauren people have always striven for peace and the preservation of Kalimdor but now fight for survival, surrounded by enemies and neglected by their allies.
The Sunwalker Dezco Dawnchaser has brought to light the importance of maintaining the key Tauren beliefs - fight for peace, for family and home, for nature, for Kalimdor and oneself. He has shown the Tauren people that even a few can make a difference. Peace is achievable... but not without a cost.
Even the newly discovered Pandaren people have seen the efforts of the Sunwalkers on Pandaria and been inspired by their efforts, and with the current state of Orgrimmar, have sought refuge atop Thunder Bluff.
The Pandaren and Tauren have similiar beliefs - they strive for peace and balance.
Perhaps together, they can make a difference?
OOC
Who are we?
Hello all, Path of Dawnchaser is a RP guild for Tauren and Pandaren players (started more or less 1st Jan 2014). We aim to roleplay the citizens of Thunder Bluff and take a more peaceful approach to roleplaying, not focusing on being a warband or army.
We hope to be an evolving guild, influenced by the active players within it, and take different paths and form different in-guild factions.
Whilst playing citizens of Thunder Bluff, we will also see the importance of contributing to the Horde and Pandaria campaign and will go on good-will missions to downtrodden Tauren encampments and assist the Sunwalkers on Pandaria. Those who are more willing to help the Horde, promote Tauren interests and fight for peace and balance in the world will come to join the Dawnchasers - a group dedicated to preserving balance and lending aid where needed and lead by the Sunwalker Istuul.
We see the good being done by Dezco Dawnchaser and seek to follow his path!
The Pandaren have been offered refuge in the plains of Mulgore, a safe place from the cruel treatment of the Kor'kron in Orgrimmar / a new home midst the ruins of Orgrimmar after the siege, as well as offering a place to stay to those from Pandaria who joined the Horde.
The Pandaren have also created a school for learning, spreading knowledge and honing their skills - The Academy of Fallen Leaves - upon the mesas as well as establishing an embassy, to help any Pandaren who find their way to Thunder Bluff via the Zeppelin.
Of course, all are free to simply play citizens.
We welcome any and all players, regardless of roleplay experience.
----------
Ranks
With the exception of the first three ranks (Fledgling, Pathfinder & Wanderer) all other ranks are obtained In-Character through attending events and your character's personal choices.
Fledgling: New members will join as Fledglings and will have to prove themselves to the guild by being active IC (attending events) and OOC (being active, chatting and being friendly!)
Pathfinder: Tauren members will be promoted to Pathfinders - they are accepted and known upon the mesas and are trying to find a purpose within society.
Wanderer: Pandaren members will be promoted to Wanderers - they are accepted and known upon the mesas but are wandering, trying to figure out how they can contribute.
Falling Leaf: The Pandaren members who are grateful of the offer of asylum by the Tauren and wish to contribute in any way possible- They have now formed the "Falling Leaf Academy" on the mesas. Here, the Wanderers and Pandarians share knowledge and train in their ancient ways.
Dawnchaser: The Tauren members who are perhaps more zealous and actively wish to get involved in foreign affairs and attempt to promote peace and balance in the world - looking more outward than inwards.
Elders: In-Character and Out of Character leaders of the guild. The elders vote as to whether or not the Pandaren and Tauren will participate in a conflict and aim to protect and see to the preservation of Tauren & Pandaren society.

PvP
So, you're peaceful, does that mean you don't PvP?
No, of course not! Just because we roleplaying being peaceful does not mean we wont defend ourselves. We seek to maintain balance, which means we will fight when we see it necessary and will aid our allies. You're free to do as much PvP as you please! Just preferably don't corpse camp...
We hope to be able have guild arena teams, do rated battlegrounds, Roleplay battlegrounds and participate in RP-World PvP just like any other guild.
Raiding
Do you raid or what? I want items.
Well, raiding is not going to be our priority but we do hope one day to participate in RP-Raiding, where we follow the story of the raid and roleplay our way through it. If your character has already done so, or the content is "too old", we came up with the idea of having a Pandaren Lorewalker in the guild who is simply "re-telling the story" of that raid...
This doesn't seem overly ambitious to me, with the introduction of Flex Raiding and the possibility of 10-manning most raids.
RP
How strict are you? I'm new to RP! (etc. etc.)
We ask that you simply keep all /yell and /say, no matter where you are, In-Character (including raids and battlegrounds). You may keep whisper, guild chat, party and raid chat, etc. Out Of Character. That pretty much means that you don't run around typing "lol " while you're in our guild. Please - you will be representing our guild and we ask you to respect our rules and the basic roleplaying rules.
RP Community
We hope to be embraced by the current RP community and be able to co-operate with the current RP guilds with all of the above things. We welcome them to Thunder Bluff and on all our endeavours! Roleplaying is boring alone. We want outsiders to participate and bring other points of view to the table.
Pandaren... really?
Yes! With the lack of a Tauren-only guild and a Pandaren-only guild on the Horde side, we thought we'd try and double our chances of success by allowing both. Seeing as Pandaren and Tauren actually have a lot in common, why wouldn't the Tauren offer them refuge on Thunder Bluff, seeing as Garrosh is such a meany?
How to join
Ok, enough of this wall of text! How do I join?
You can join by whispering any current member in-game, sending an IC mail to me (Fordan) and then we will come and interview you IC and OOC on Thunder Bluff.
Officers: Fordan, Istuul, Kerrok, Chenawa, Zunzhui, Yoldran - but most members will be willing to help, chat, give guild information and recruit!
See you in Mulgore!

This is very interesting indeed. And just recently I started a panda on Horde side too, I know just where to put her now

I hope you'll succeed. Might come by when I manage to level a tauren at some point.

Re: (H) Path of Dawnchaser (Tauren & Pandaren)
I made the guild a facebook page instead of a website and a forum. I'd end up making a page anyway to store all the memories of the guild, and this is a lot easier to make a lot easier to get people to check than another forum.

It doesn't matter - not all members will join or contribute to a forum. It's only an option so they can see updates and stories Anybody may like it - if they want to see what's going on with us!

I like the idea of the guild
Maybe my guild and yours can collaborate somehow and create some wonderful RP seeing as we're both based in Mulgore.
