[H] Convocation of Arcana

OOC rule set for Convocation of Arcana members

Age Requirement:

To become a member within the Convocation of Arcana you must be of an age of at least 15 years old. We do this for cases of maturity so that it is more ensured with older players. Though we are aparent this isnt always the case.

Erotic Role Playing:

If members of Convocation of Arcana are to engage in ERP, they are to do so privately, using /party or /whispers for such emotes and/or talks. By this means any mature themes beyond kissing/holding hands or mature language will be dealt with by the following:

If players are caught using public channels, to emote things on a level that is not suitable, or minors may be uncomfortable with this, then said member is to be punished accordingly, firstly by given a warning, if caught again, after the stipulations of the warning were made aparent, the person is to be kicked directly from the guild.

All this being said, the guild does not advocate, or encourage Erotic Roleplay in any shape or form as it is against Blizzard's Terms/Use policy.

OOC Behaviour in Guild Chat:

Whilst freedom of speech is encouraged, members are not to be question a persons IC actions publicly in guild chat on an OOC basis. They are of course allowed to do so through poking or whispering said person if it is there perogative to do so.

Members should refrain at all times from using mature language in guild chat, or speaking about mature themes untill after 22:00 Server time. If members violate these conditions, they will be warned not to do so again and given a gentle reminder that its not to be done.

If effects of foul language, or mature themes persist before 22:00 server time then the member will be removed from the guild.

OOC Behaviour in Roleplay:


Members are not to grief, troll, act in an inappropriate manner or otherwise cause OOC upset other RPers when RP is in session. If members continue to disrupt, act disrespectfully to other Roleplayers then said member is to be given a warning, if they do so again, then the character will be removed from the guild.

Alts:

As a rule Convocation of Arcana allows -three- alts of one main character in to our ranks. We do this so the roster is clean, and concise but also to promote the fact that we want you to actively Roleplay a singular character for immersive progression, and use. This can only be a good thing not only for you, but the guild as a whole.

Extended Periods of Absence:

If a member is inactive for a period of over three months, they shall recieve a demotion in rank, irreguardless of what rank they are at now. This applies to any and all members, even officers. If a member is inactive for a period of over six months, then that character is to be removed from the guild, as to keep our roster clean and current. If said members come back and wish to rejoin the guild they of course free to do so.

Naming Policy:


Whilst Convocation of Arcana does not have a strict naming policy as names can be manipulated by the use of Roleplaying addons we do abide to the naming policy set in to motion by Blizzard themselves. If you are in need of a link: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

In-Character Behaviour:


By this we mean that members are not to engage in any sort of the following:

God Emoting: Quite simply using emotes as completely and utterly over-riding commands for example: "Ainathiela kills Enarivan". This is not acceptable. We encourage you to explore avenues of power with your characters but under no circumstances (Unless previously discussed in whispers) Are you to power your emotes over others, or state things as factual.

Meta-gaming: Using OOC knowledge on an IC basis. For example, one of your characters may know of something, that your other character does not. You are not to meta-game this information across as if all your characters know it unless it has been Roleplayed out. This can also come in to effect by if you hear something in Guild Chat on an OOC basis, then use that information ICly when ICly you'd have no way of knowing.

If a member is to do these things, we will issue a warning to them, and ask to see if we can improve there quality of Roleplay in these fields, as generally speaking these two points come from a lack of understanding. If it becomes a repeating issue that said member is not willing to change, then they will most likely be removed from the guild.

Trial Periods:

Convocation of Arcana is to impliment a trial basis on joining the guild over the period of 2 weeks, this is purely from an OOC perspective, so we can monitor our members better. If the member follows the rules above we set in place. If they don't they are given a warning, and a futher 2 weeks of trial if they continue to break the rules, they will subsquently be removed from the guild.

Associate: -  

The Rank given to any new member within the Convocation of Arcana. It is within this rank you will be trialed and tested. You will decide on the path that suites you best and where you wish for your character to excel. Using the knowledge, expertise, or otherwise of the Triumvirate to reach your goals.

The Divine Wing:

"The shadow of death was wrought on our people, only by stepping in to the Light, and embracing it, can we find salvation." - Ainathiela Eilanthir

The Divine Wing is led by Priestess Ainathiela Eilanthir. An advocate in the teachings of the Holy Light, and the reverence of the Naaru. It is her belief in the Sunwell, and the entities known as the Naaru are the sole reason that the Blood Elves exist today.  

She seeks to spread the message of the Holy Light to her people, strengthening them with faith, conviction and magic in ways of wielding the Light.

Any Class will be welcome within the ranks of the Divine Wing, however they must show that they have one overriding attribute in their possession: Faith.

The Arcane Wing:

"The arcane perplexes minds both great and small. Only through reaching a greater understanding can we secure the future of our people." - Sarandus Eilanthir

The Arcane wing is led by the Ex-Sunreaver, and Archmage Sarandus Eilanthir. An immensely talented former magus of the Kirin Tor. With the Expulsion of the Sunreaver's from Dalaran, and Sarandus' faith shaken in Aethas' ability to lead, he himself has chosen to dedicate his time and efforts to help nurture and grow the backbone of Sin'Dorei society: Magic.

He seeks to find a sanctum for those outside of the Sunreavers, a haven where they will not be under the blundering heel of Aethas Sunreaver, where magic and spell craft can be cultivated in to a power worthy of his Blood Elven kin.

Warlocks and Mages alike will find a home within the ranks of the Arcane Wing but it will not be an easy undertaking. Arduous study, time and dedication are required to delve in to the depths of the mysteries of magic.

The Martial Wing:

"Not all of our kind find themselves capable of wielding the arcane or the light to a useful degree. For those of us finding ourselves in this position, it falls to our skill with fist and steel to get the job done. To join this wing of the Convocation is to dedicate yourself to being the forceful hand of our organisation"" - Rurel Duskstrider

The martial wing is the wing for those who prefer to settle matters with physical prowess. Using their unique talents for combat, they are to assault the enemies of the Convocation and to defend our allies in any combat situation. Only those that prove themselves to have the drive and strength to be the swords and shields of the Convocation have a place within the martial wing.

Members of the martial wing are ultimately those that cannot and will not lose themselves in battle

Warriors, Paladins, Rogues, Hunters and Monks may take up arms in the Convocations lead as Seekers, the vanguard and limbs of the organisation. Tasked with the duty of protection and 'physical labour'.
