[Notices are put throughout the Kingdom of Khaz Modan]
The Department of Justice is hiring, maybe it could be you?
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The Department of Justice is hiring private contractors to perform bounty duties. Each private contractor will sign a contract to a binding agreement for a certain period of time and for a certain objective given before them by the Department of Justice. The bounty contracts are divided into two sections;
Domestic Contracts - DC's for short, will cater to all individuals within the boundaries of Khaz Modan and the Grand Alliance. Those individuals seeking to hunt exceptionally dangerous criminals, cultists or members of organized crime syndicates ought to contact the Secretary of the Department of Justice to gain legitimate coin for legitimate work.
Licenses available:
Swindle Figgins - Dead or Alive, 750g.
Members of the Forlorn Cartel - Alive, 150g per member, 250g for high ranking members.
Members of the Dark Iron terrorist cells - Dead or alive, 300g.
Bismack Bronze - Alive, 500g.
Foreign Contracts - FC's are licenses to hunt down members of organizations that have a larger network than twenty five people. This means that organizations such as the Cult of the Damned, the Twilight Hammer, the Horde, and the various sub-races of the Horde fall under the 'FC' category. These contracts are more lucrative, but more dangerous and the Department of Justice encourages you to bring a fellow bounty hunter with you.
Licenses available:
Garrosh Hellscream - Dead, 100,000g along with a statue and a street named after you.
Rargnasha Bloodmark - Dead or alive, 1,000g.
Leading Sovereign of the Gurubashi Empire - Dead, 2,500g.
Members of the Red Blade Tribe - Dead, 500g per member.
Members of the Gurubashi Troll Empire - Dead, 500g per member.
Any ranking officer of the Horde armies - Alive, 1750g.
If interested, contact the Department of Justice which is located in the Commons within the grand city of Ironforge.
OOC Note:
In order to stimulate RP across the board as well as RP-PvP and wPvP, this has been put into place. Those interested in taking a license are free to contact me on Cerik and take initiative in attempting to fulfill it. Best of luck.

From Rear Admiral Areyah Conover, Stormwind Minister of Defense, to the Ironforge Senate[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Stormwind Ministry of Defense
SUNDAY, September 29th, [30]
Honourable members of the Ironforge Senate,
The Ironforge Department of Justice has recently posted a bounty on Rargnasha Bloodmark and members of the orcish Red Blade Tribe, calling for their death or capture. However, Rargnasha Bloodmark and the Red Blade Tribe are part of the Darkspear Rebellion and as such are currently allies of the Grand Alliance. The Stormwind Ministry of Defense opposes any measures taken by Ironforge to marginalize or dishonour the efforts of members of the Darkspear Rebellion in the war against Garrosh Hellscream and the Kor'kron Horde, and requests that such licenses be removed.
This is not the time to be jeopardizing relations with those who will very likely be the new face of the Horde government in the years to come.
Regards,
Rear Admiral Areyah Conover
Stormwind Minister of Defense
Chairlady of the Council of Stormwind[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Senator Cerik is given the well written response from the Stormwind Ministry, reading twice over it he begins to ponder deeply on many things.
But as he is pondering the fire in the living room seems to be going out, noticing that there is nothing to stoke nor continue lighting it with it, Cerik tosses the letter into the fire place.
"The Horde are no allies of Ironforge" he ponders to himself silently and then ushers other senior members of the Department of Justice into his now well lit office.

Jarric Buckholme is informed of the posters. He sighs and wonders what ever happened to the more sociable Dwarves that were around before the senate was lead by these fools with egos as fragile as there grasp on reality.
"Jenkins" He yelled. "Find me a pen and paper if you would be so kind".
Sipping on his drink he shakes his head and sighs heavily.

How -DARE- you!? Impudent dwarves, you will all suffer for this heresy!
Here I've invaded your lands for years and years, stolen and drank all of your ale, and I only get a lousy 1000 gold bounty, while some troll who've never seen snow or marsh gets a 2500 gold bounty?!
Hmm.. Unless we take the whole general thing into consideration, in which case it would be 1000 gold + 1750 gold, where I'd come out 250 gold ahead of the troll.. But still, this insult will not go unpunished!

Yeah, we're just the company, unless these licenses dates back to the very early days where the cartel was actually known as the cartel, or atleast they used it back then, although I wasn't even around at that point.

And the fact that they're a part of the Alliance, and thus are currently in a truce with the horde. Or peace, depending on your point in the timeline.

The mentality of the Senate of Ironforge is completely against all Horde elements, be they rebellious or not.
The Forlorn Cartel is called that because that's how they began, in Ironforge, in The Forlorn Caverns, so the Department of Justice calls them by their original and first name
As a side note, the current guild Hand of Damnation has never had the opportunity to clash with TTH and therefore their names are unknown!.

But you don't get to decide Ironfore's political stance on the rest of the world.Zigger wrote:The mentality of the Senate of Ironforge is completely against all Horde elements, be they rebellious or not.
Ironforge is a part of the Alliance.
The Alliance is working together with the rebels.
Deal with it.

- Spoiler:
- Actually Erwtenpeller, the Ironforge Senate, exactly like the Council of Stormwind, does decide the viewpoint of their nation, thus is the whole point of roleplaying the 'government of x', and in that, it will be conveyed as our characters see fit.
The Alliance also isn't a blue horde, and each individual nation is capable of directing it's own foreign policy. Varian is leading the armies, not the governments.

You do not run any governments in wow. No player does. No player can.
And anyone that does think they can, are a worse breed of loller then the nude night elves dancing on mailboxes.

That's right: "The Forlorn Cartel" should be taken as a moniker, something common people would use to refer to criminals hanging around the Forlorn Cavern; the dwarves did use the name, but the Cartel members of course have always denied to know anything about it.Zigger wrote:The Forlorn Cartel is called that because that's how they began, in Ironforge, in The Forlorn Caverns, so the Department of Justice calls them by their original and first name

These are player run governments in WoW on the Defias Brotherhood realm. I'm also pretty sure you roleplayed a Blood Knight Guard which is an effective form of enforcing the 'law' which essentially boils down to the same principles.
Roleplaying the viewpoint or perspective of NPC's, be they important or not.
I see your argument, but I think it's first of all, hypocritical and secondly, time well wasted when both of us know that neither the Senate nor the Council will disband overnight because we're all a worse breed of lollers then the nude night elves dancing on mailboxes according to you.
This OOC discussion has also run its course and I will take it into a relevant thread if you wish to continue it!

The Blood Knights never pretended to be policy makers of the city. We where just a bunch of righteous defenders kicking people we didn't like in the shins. For me, this discussion won't be over until moguls like yourself stop pretending to have power that is just impossible for you to have. You can't be the boss of Ironforge. That is a role for blizzard to play. If you want to be able to role-play that sort of power, there are plenty of other places to go, like forum role-plays, other games, or even private servers. This OOC discussion has also run its course and I will take it into a relevant thread if you wish to continue it!
But on Defias, it simply can't be done.

- OOC:
It has been done successfully for years, with the majority of player base accepting the authority of both the Senate and the Council. Who are you to come and suddenly proclaim that it can't exist, when the community has voted with their support? Get off your high horse: your opinion is just that, an opinion, not the written law and whether you like it or not, there are a lot of people who do not view things the same way. And some of those people have busted their asses off to create RP for the community.
These organizations exist to provide people with RP, a visible structure to their racial societies. The community is just as able to support these organizations as it is to rebel and overthrow them; all it takes is that the majority decides disagree and conclude that their time is up. To my knowledge, not once during the server's history has it done so. That should tell you something about how these councils are viewed. Hell, at one point all but one race had a council of some sort, all made with the motivation to get RP going.
I don't entirely agree with the idea that a player-based organization can decide what a nation does or does not do, especially so when it is not a parliament that the community can't vote in (alas, lore does not provide examples of such so we can only dream), but when there are guilds that RP said nations' militaries, I do recognize the value of it in providing RP.
So yes. No matter what you say, or how you view things, on Defias, it can be done. There's plenty of precedence. And just because YOU say that these organizations are against YOUR views on how RP should be done (that is such an elitist statement to begin with), they won't disappear.
