The dwarven lands lie at the heart of the Eastern Kingdoms; where war is at its thickest. The Blackforges is a Dark Iron clan that got cut off after Shadowforge’s failed siege on Grim Batol in the war of the Three Hammers. Retreating back to northern Wetlands they have had centuries to reinforce their fortified camp into a smaller dwarven fortress. Discipline, craftsmanship and Dark Iron War Golems have now made them a powerful clan which is ready to crush anyone that stands in their path.

The Thunderwings are the Wildhammer descendants from heroes of Grim Batol. While living for centuries in the Twilight Highlands they have adopted the ways of nature and the Elements as their way of life but has never forgotten their glorious past and will readily grasp their mighty stormhammer against anyone who would challenge them.

The Stonehearths are Bronzebeards, hardened by the fronts of war after thirty years of Frostwolf offensives. Many would call the them stern, rugged and boisterous, although a tankard of aged and heady ale would bring merriment and laughter to most of them. Sacrifice and battle come easy to them, and they value honor and valor as much as a well-honed axe.

What we will do IC
This is the Clans of Khaz Modan, a dwarf-only roleplaying guild on Defias Brotherhood EU.
In this guild we  roleplay three clans: Stonehearth (Stormpike/Bronzebeard), Thunderwing (Wildhammers) and Blackforge (Dark Iron). These clans live in the northern parts of Khaz Modan, at the frontier of the Alliance territories and are always prepared to fight for their homelands and survival.

The clans live in an uneasy truce which is often broken; unless united against a common foe the different clans are more than able to find reasons to fight each-other. Already Clan Blackforge and Clan Thunderwing have clashed in skirmishes. However, when a new external threat arises even the most stubborn-minded warmonger understands that the other clans are at least dwarves, which is far more than can be said about their other neighbours. When such a threat arises the clans calls to a Great Eyre, a meeting where the clans puts aside their differences and rides out to war.

When you join the Clans of Khaz Modan, your first goal is to seek out and join one of the three clans If the clan deems you worthy you will be tasked to earn three marks of the clan. By accompanying your clan, fighting with them and learning their ways you shall soon have earned their trust and the marks required to take your oath to the clan's Hearthstone. Once that oath is taken you’re a member of the clan. 

The highest honor of and fighter of the clans is to be appointed warleader of the clans. Earn the respect and renown of all three clans and you may be chosen at the Clans Eyre. With the rank of Khazreg or Khazrega you can rally the clans for the defense of Khaz Modan, or to form a warband and take the sword to enemy lands.

This is the Clans of Khaz Modan, we are carrying on the Dwarven Rifle Squad and The Three Hammers Legacy into this new dwarven guild. We are an RPPvP/E guild, always ready to face whatever challenges we meet. What we’ve learned from The Three Hammers is that there is always a risk when you make a guild concept too large, we do not want a guild with a dozen different factions and members who have no In Character connection to each other. We’ve therefore chosen to scale down the concept of this guild to the stories of three clans.

Our goals is to have three active and realistic dwarven clans, one of each major clan who are living in the northern parts of Khaz’Modan. We will be roleplaying the plots and storylines of these clans and the members within them. Character development is something that we which to promote and the only way to earn an IC status in the clans is to roleplay the story of their characters and their path to power. We’ve decided to let the highest IC position of power to be open for any member of the guild so that everyone who seeks it have a chance to lead the clans into war. Any member of the guild can be chosen to the Khazreg of the three clans.

What we will do OOC
We seek to be a strong factor in WPvP and RPPvP as well as an important group in the servers roleplaying community. To obtain these goals we seek good roleplayers and good PvP and PvE players, however, the roleplay always takes the first priority when a new member joins. Fighting skills can be taught to those who lack it. 

Each major patch the guild leadership will decide if the guild shall officially be focusing on RPPvP or RPPvE. Since we all got limited play-time we cannot excel at PvP, PvE and RP at the same time, we will therefore only focus on two aspects of the game at a time. With the Siege of Orgrimmar at hand, Garrosh Hellscream and the title ‘Conqueror of Orgrimmar’ to be won we have chosen to focus on RP and PvE this patch.

We’ve got an up and running mumble channel to which all members are more then welcome to join us. While a voice chat is not required for some good old roleplay it can take it to another level and you get to know your guild-members and gain new friendships in a very different way when you can talk to them and hear their voices. The mumble-server is also very useful in PvP and PvE.

We will encourage our players to gear up their characters, at least their in-guild mains to be able to take an active part in the guilds PvP policy, and it’s PvE goals. We will not make a rule out of this but it’s strongly encouraged and those who needs it will receive all the help we can offer them to reach the ilvl of at least Raid-finder gear or the current honor PvP gear. As we will often rally the dwarves into warbands to enemy lands we hope that the thrill of battle and the joy of victory shall be spread to even those who normally would not take part in this kinds of events. If you as a Horde-player hear the dwarven warband’s battle shouts and the thunder of rams, then be prepared for battle or flee before the Clans of Khaz Modan are upon you!

Definitely! We currently have a requirement of level 25+, but we have an official OOC guild channel that rerollers could join in the mean time. There will be some sort of initiation as well. Look up the three clans on the official forum, and give some thought to who you'd want to join.

I've recently rolled a Dwarvern Warlock.. who has hit cap, She's a Sorceress of sorts, part of a lineage/clan (Not entirely sure how Dwarves work) called Wyrmfury a line of Dwarvern Mages who have fallen from popularity and power in the last century, she's currently in Stormwind attempting to educate other Mages in the ways of The Fel, but I could do with a home for her, guild wise!

She's pretty independent and rather bitter..
Would she be a good fit for the Clans?

Poke me or Kilgan/Lofur ingame and we'll have a talk about your character and how she'd fit into the clans!
Keep in mind that we expect all members of the guild to take an active part of our RP and aim for everyone to join one of the three clans.

Should your dwarf be without clan affiliation at the time, she would most likely still be of descent of one of the three major clans. She could have been disowned by clan and kin, which led to her no longer affiliating herself with a clan. To be clanless will be highly frowned upon however, and would most likely indicate of your reputation.

If you would like to affiliate yourself with one of the three major clans, Dark Iron might be the best(but since you probably came to be a magi of other arcane branches at first, then perhaps you’d be of  Bronzebeard origin). We already have Dark Iron’s, in Blackforge specifically, who practice fel magic ICly, although it isn’t something they openly acknowledge. As with any ‘fel magic’, many don’t take too fondly to those who practice it.

The Wyrmfury line of dwarves could have at their time of their popularity created their own clan. Namely, the Wyrmfury clan. That would make sense.

I take it that you don’t want to get overly involved in our current roleplay, but as I understand it you are a frequent roleplayer yourself, although very much doing your own thing. I am okay with that.

As Janela said, we usually have members find reasons to join, take oath, serve or work for one of the three clans. Perhaps your character might find reason to do this at some point.

Just joined you guys last night, on my Warlock Mysie.
Looking forward to getting into the action with you all, and hope to learn a bit, since this will be the first time I roleplay as a dwarf.

I'd say that things are going rather well for the Dwarves! Least in terms of activity.
