(Out of Date) Characters - Self-View, and the view of other 2013-14
This thread is dedicated to something I just though up out of the blue.
How does your character perceive itself, and how does it view those around it? Does it view people individually, or does it perhaps generalize? Does it view itself as something great? Something bad? Does it have a opinion at all?
Coppersocket, the broken mess of a girl.
She views herself with a large self-hatred, disgusted at what she's become (Her appearance). Disgusted at the world she lives in, and in how she's forced to live her life. Terrified of her past, and hates her present, her future. Yet, despite all that hate, she seeks another day.
She does not view herself as a better, but she does view herself as someone of a higher status- among the scum.
The girl knows naught of greed, as she simply works to survive. Excess is not something she usually has, and if she does- she'll abandon it.
As for others. Copper's a hard nut to crack, she views most people within the same region, not above herself, not below herself. They're people who simply exist, or well. To some degree this is truth.
To Dwarves, and Gnomes this is the case. Copper views them as equals. The Dwarves can be a bit daft, but beyond that they seem like good people.
As for humans, and Elves, they're as barbaric as they get. To her, humans are but breeding animals. Rape to humans is another days good job, breeding like goblins- they will have sex with anything and anyone in their vicinity, given the chance.
As for the Elves, they're barbarians by nature, with no sense of technology, they're clearly inferior in just about every single way- with massive weaknesses. She does not question their place in the Alliance, but she does question how much good they would do- if they were actually attacked, as their trees are all but that. Trees.
But in general, Copper's perspective of individuals is followed up a sarcastic remark, followed by a dull face with complete lack of emotion. They mean nothing to her, unless they find a way to become a part of her life.
I could probably cover it in a lot more detail, but I'll keep it simple and I urge anyone else to do so as well- as it could possibly lead to spoilers, making characters less interesting to interact with.
Nothing is as fun as learning about new characters after all.
Edit: I'll just add it in, response to the below posts.
(Some of these are outdated, need to update them again at some point)

(Some of these are outdated, need to update them again at some point)
- Ezlbag:
- The one she would refer to as the love of her life. She cared very much for this Gnome, and he was one of the very few people in existence to ever be considered important. Ezlbag was extremely special. While she misses him from time to time, she does no longer mourn his passing.
- Doreen / Nifty:
- What could possibly be seen as her mentor, Copper's had a rough life, and Doreen was somewhat of a polar opposite of what Copper once was. Through many conversations and long debates about moral choices, and as well as things that happened around Copper- she would eventually have to abandon some of her former ideals. However, she never agreed with Nifty. They'd always have their differences. But Copper viewed Nifty as a sister, and that- is something nobody else will ever achieve. Their love-hate relationship was something that's not easy to come across. Copper loved Nifty, just as much as she loved Ezlbag- however, as stated before. Not as a lover.
- The Timmens Familiy:
- Quinian: Quinian Timmens, if he hadn't been a human, she'd love the man. But it'd not be a healthy relationship. She seems him as a very unhealthy person, a very dangerous person. Not just to everyone else, but to himself as well.
Despite this, he holds a very special place in Copper's life. He, like Ezlbag has shown himself as a very good friend, but perhaps not one she would trust her life to. On the other hand, she would- for him.
He's also one of the very few people, Copper will openly say "I love you" to.
Zalissa "Sally": One of Copper's absolutely best friends. She values Sally very highly. She does consider Sally's relationship with Quinian, very rowdy- as it is. She's afraid of ever seeing Sally come to harm, knowing her lifestyle- because to Copper, Sally's simply too important to lose.
She'd give her life to protect Sally in a heartbeat.
Copper views her both as a kind of daughter, and a kind of mother. A family member she never had.
Vinian: She seems Vinian as an unfortunate accident, given the parents behavior. But she'd never tell them that.
She likes the kid, even if she doesn't spend much time with him. Frankly, she doesn't want to see what the kid turns into when he grows up- and she knows she's going to, since he'll grow old and die before she does.
All in all, she loves the family very fondly, and at points they've been her source of letting off steam, as things have been very troubling for her. She's very honest in her feelings, when she shows them.
- Helmut:
- Copper views Helmut as a useful being, to a degree. He's yet to find a sweet spot to make her consider him at all beyond an acquaintance, however he's at least gained the amount of affection that she'd not betray him on a whim.
In short, useful tool.
- Paia:
- Paia, another person Copper likes. She's not as close friend with Paia as she would like to be, and does feel a ounce of guilt for having Paia take care of her when under Tjib's service. Another person Copper would die for, if required.
Loyalty runs deep, for those who has proven themselves.
- Tjib:
- Questionable, apparently worked on a new plague. Horrible. Unaware how to process. Difficult man. At least he payed well.
- Bradley:
- Useful at times, but a blasted human. With all the traits that comes along. At least he's truth worthy
- Phil:
- Blasted womanizer. Trust worthy as well, but not worth socializing without adding remarks, like his brother.
- Damoni:
- Fun to tease, also fun to make fun of. But at the end of the day, Copper sees him as someone extremely loyal and dedicated. While she has no deep feelings for him, she's afraid of losing him too- after losing both Doreen and Ezlbag. Terrified, in her own way.
- Zinkle:
- That one? Ha. Thinks himself so great. Well, Copper took his company. Shows how great he is. Useless, bad mouthed, Idiot.
- Bismack / Bronze:
- Bronze is a strange man. He who tailors his own laws, yet sees fit to break them when the need or desire, arise. Clearly the superior of the two brothers. An idiot, but a kind idiot.
- John / Ralegh:
- John, a man who cannot hold his own money in check. Constantly standing in his brothers shadow. Not to be disguised as weakness. John seems capable, and smarter than his brother, but only by so much. Like his brother, he is kind. But a replacement battery for his memory core would be due.
- Abe:
- Abe's a complete lunatic. Rude, excessively violent, delusional, and most certainly insane. He has at several times arrested Copper for made up reasons, despite that she has at all times put on a kind front towards the old man. Best kept a shadow spell prepared, would his face ever surface again. People like him should be thrown into the nether
- Arenfel:
- Helpful, useful. Has proven his worth, and is among the few to be considered a friend. Perhaps would not die for the man, given his age- but cherishes his company.
- Greysmith:
- Persistent to show up when one least expects it. He's been useful and has earned a degree of respect.
- Feral:
- She views Feral as a nice being. He's been kind towards her. However, beyond small talk- Feral has no place in her life. Like many others, she would simply toss him aside- if need be.
A potential tool.
- Monrena:
- Copper's vision of people is narrow, and having built up a larger connection of people, she simply moved on. Monrena, is just one of many which has been discarded, or forgotten among her acquaintances.
This does not mean she dislikes the Draenei. Copper doesn't "like" or "dislike" people in that sense. They simply exist as long as they exist to her. When they then become disconnected, they simply fade from her reality.
- Iriel:
- Once seen as a simple friend. Having been forced to discard those feelings through magic, among some minor personal likings for another few, she now views Irene as nothing more than a broken tool. What ever use Irene once had, has been consumed, or perhaps just that things changed so that her services were simply no longer of use.
Either way, she's just another discarded tool.
- The Regiment:
- Confused by their trust to her, but sees it as a possible benefit.

Simple is enough, and one can always be vague enough to prevent spoilers...sometimes I find I can't even tell how my characters feel I leave the possibility open so XD

This. The opportunity for some insight into good character motivations and opinions always makes interesting reading ^^Nothing is as fun as learning about new characters after all

(This is a very interesting idea copper, I'm also interested in peoples outside views of a character too, reputations they've gained etc. Would be nice to have that! How others perceive your character too!)
Re: (Out of Date) Characters - Self-View, and the view of other 2013-14
Helmut Spoon: A narcissistic opportunist
I think that Helmut might have some problem with empaphy. He hardly cares for others but like to make them think so. Helmut sees himself as someone who is better than everyone else. Someone who "gets it all". Someone superior. He sees himself as handsome and smart and gets really upset when someone tells him something else.
He usuallyenjoys to see drama and conflict between people, and likes to, in a way that he might not be tracked back to himself, see as much chaos that he knows that he have made. He is also abit sadistic in that he enjoys to see people being puniched by the law. Maybe its just that he know that he has/can do worse and get away with it. That he is better than the poor person being whipped. He really believes in the law and justice but also thinks that if you are good enough to bend around it then you are allowed to. You are not a criminal till you are caught.
He has no problem with other races. He believes that everyone can be bad and good and its up to the person to be judged. He has, however, had pretty bad experiences with Night Elves.
He is sure that he can make everyone trust him and like him by buying them treats and acting nice and polite to them. Whether this works or not is up to you guys. He sees himself as a master manipulator but he might just think too high of himself.
Bascily, he is greedy, loud, prideful and a coward. There are just few people who he has truly cared for. Helmut is one of those people who don't like to get his hands dirty and most important: He never does anything that won't "gain him".
So what is your impression of Helmut? What do you think of him and his characteristics?
Now here is Helmuts opinions of others! Remember, this does not reflect how I view you or think of you, but what Helmut thinks of your characters.

Now here is Helmuts opinions of others! Remember, this does not reflect how I view you or think of you, but what Helmut thinks of your characters.
- Areyah:
- Helmut has great respect for Areyah. He sees her as his boss and his ticket to power. Not power of the world or the whole army or anything, just the right amount suited for him. He believes that her judgements are right and follows them as he think/knows that Areyah and he share the same enemies and wants the same things for the Alliance. He also sees her as a friend and someone who is fun to drink with. He knows that she is not out to get him and he is not out for her, either.
- Coppersocket:
- Helmut likes Copper but something makes him feel sorry for her. Maybe its the Gnomish bond that makes him feel empathy for everything thats happend to her, or maybe something else? He saw her as just another Gnome before she got crippled, now he sees her as a pretty weak being and just wishes her the best.
As she "stopped being a cripple" Helmut had a great outlook for Coppersocket. She were to be given more work and authority. However, when she started to part with Yavari much of his fondness of her sank.
- Paia:
- Helmut really likes Paia. Maybe its because he knows her past and can use it when needed or, again, the Gnomish pride/bond that he has to her. He also see her as someone who as been through alot and sort of feels sorry for her, but sees her also as somewhat weak minded. Yet he enjoys having her around and he is assured that she enjoys his company as well. Thats why he tend to have her around on the battlefield. They have a history and he trusts her, because he knows that she have to be on his terms.
- Paozi:
- Paozi puzzles Helmut. He has had a hard time reading him and don't really know what to make of him. Helmut sees him as pretentious and someone who regards himself abit too highly. Does he only want whats best for Pandaria or does he have his own schemes? What he does like is to talk with him. He does find Paozi's long speeches interesting, but thinks that he talks abit too much.
- Wulfgnar:
- Helmut regards Wulfgnar as a friend and someone that he can trust. The main reason, however, why he enjoys him is because he always seem to be involved in some drama. Helmut sees him as a likable fool, blinded by his faith and his view of himself as a divine harbringer. As Helmut knows his limitations in physical power he likes to ally himself with brutes like Wulfgnar. He also admires his stubbornness and confrontational skills. As much as he likes Wulfgnar for his charm and nice attitude towards him he dreams of the day when he can bring down the wall around Wulfgnar and use the tension that he has built up around him to make an atomic bomb of scandal. Because he knows that there are, somewhere, some secrets that might be used. Â
- Iriel:
- Helmut enjoys Iriel, both as a company and for her skills but also sees her as somewhat daft and not at all on the same level as he is. Somewhat of a fool that he been given the privilege of his friendship. Â She follows orders well and does the right things for the kingdom. She can annoy him sometimes but he tends to look past it. If he can keep her on his good side he knows that he has someone to rely on. Lately she seems to have taken some of Helmuts views on society, the military and the insignificans of lowlife people, which greatly pleases him.Yes, very pleasing.
- Siegmund:
- A partner, friend and someone who wouldn't hurt him. Helmuts biggest enemies are those of an wqual rank to him, as they are a threat to his career. Siegmund, however, would never try to bring him down. Thats what Helmut thinks, atleast. He feels appreciated by Siegmund and enjoys his company and thought aswell, specially on the battlefield and always like to have Siegmund and his Freelancers around. Helmut and Siegmund "gets" one another. He, maybe, a fit candidate for being "Spymaster" the day Helmut leaves that position?
- Tuomas:
- Someone who trusts Helmut and is not a danger to him. A great ally! Follows the orders that Helmut gives him and performs them well. Someone who seeks and senses honor, but not a danger to someone as Helmut. He knows, however, that Tuomas is long from reaching his full potential. Therefor he likes to have him with him on the field, as he believes that his methods are the best for training the sneaky troops.
- Arenfel:
- Someone wise and enjoyable, but old. Helmut sees Arenfel as someone who has gone past his best before use date and is noy decaying into an old man. Someone who was once wise but now just rambles about things. Clearly not a threat, though, but Helmut wishes that Arenfel wouldn't put his nose in business and fields where Helmut is a part of. Still someone to have on his good side, though, and an enjoyable partner for drinks and talks.
- Monrena:
- To Helmut, Monrena is a brat who needs to learn manners. Back in Pandaria he saw her as weak and not fit for duty. Hes interactions after has been at its highest "okay". He still thinks that she might be to some use but then she would have to shape up, both physically and psychologically. Might also be a threat to him...
- Feral:
- A very enjoyable worgen, nice to interact with and not a threat. The times they have met it seems like they got along fine. Maybe he is abit too good, for his own, though.
- Grim (!?):
- Helmut have been fighting the Marauders for many years and se them as enemies to himself and his past Orders. He does, however, find many of them interesting and would not mind to sit down and have a chat with them. THeir brute ways fascinates him and few were as brutal as Grim Stonepaw. As much as he want the orc stabbed to death he would also like to treat him to a dinner of porkstew, mashed potatoes and boiled beets served with some fine, Lordaeron wine and Wetland whiskey. Hopefully he'll get that chanse, some day.
- Lavian (Clara Dawson):
- At first, Helmut was very restrictive and untrusting of Lavian, unsure of her powers and mental state. As he got closer to her he realized that she might be the only pure and "good" being in all of Azaroth who also follows orders! To have a powerful and disciplined Death Knight is essential for a little gnome. He now keeps her close to himself for her military knowledge, intimidating pressence and an ability to act swift and brutally when Helmut needs a bodyguard/task done. Hopefully Helmut can keep this beast contained but if she were to turn on him, he would be in great danger.
- Wellsworth:
- Friendly being with much potential. Through easier to like in the beginning, she has risen and does not listen to everything that Helmut says anymore, with bothers him. He wishes that, with the good band of Braves (with some deserving a lashing) that she leads, would turn them into a straight military company but for now he can only work to uphold a trust with Wellsworth. Very polite and respectful, which Helmut highly regards in people.
- Ralegh:
- These days one of Helmuts closest allies. They both seem to share the same views on discipline, order and alcohol. Whenever Helmut is bored he usually drop by the Command Centre to see what shenanigans Ralegh is up to. To Helmut is a bottle of whiskey a good price for a trusty pair of ears. Helmut will try to uphold their relationship for as long as he can. Whenever he needs help with something, Ralegh is the first to which he turns.
- Bismack:
- Much like his brother but more brutal and chaotic. Helmut enjoys working with him but tends to go to Ralegh for requests and business as he finds Bismack harder to control and even if he does not come off in that way, Helmut knows that Bismack is smarter than he makes himself look.
- Keag:
- Helmut is not very pleased with Keags work so far, but because of his Strongbrew blood he tries to not give him a hard time. As Keag ultimately get the job done he usually takes too long. If he could only focus more and keep the troops in check he would rise as a military hero of the Alliance and in Helmuts eyes. But for now will Helmut just see him as a worst version of Odgan.
- Charlie Blazesong:
- Good man on the field and very useful due to his ability to lower his morals/selfbeing equal to the amount of coins you give him. Has performed well with the tasked handed from Helmut. Very annoying on a social level, though, and should learn some manners. Helmut views him as a kid with a large gun who will point it on whoever as long as he is given candy.
- Yavari:
- One of the few draenei that Helmut liked. Too bad that she had to go and put herself in trouble by exposing her shadowy ways. If she had come to Helmut with it earlier he would have been very accepting of them and advised her to keep them hidden. Now she only annoys him as she is just proof of thrown away potential. He could not care less for her, he just wants her gone.
- Elrua:
- One of the many draenei Helmut dislikes. Another soldier who thinks too highly of herself. Why can't soldiers of the military just behave properly and follow orders? No, they all have to be special snowflakes. He does not care at all for her brother or her thoughts on things. He thinks that she should just let things like that go and continue to focus on her work. Life is too short to be thinking about other people than you.
- Hariel:
- Helmut is the reason why he is not a catperson. Why even have semi intellectual cats in the army and treat them like soldiers?! If this misbehaving kitty doesn't shape up soon he will have it treated as a common pet without humanoid rights and pay.

Re: (Out of Date) Characters - Self-View, and the view of other 2013-14
Feral / Derek Shepherd: Doesn't see himself at all. Â He sees his effect on the world around him, and tries to make it as good as possible. Â He tries to better and enlighten himself constantly and he's happy with who he is, though it never stops him learning. Â He takes the people around him purely as individuals (death knight, Horde, anyone) and believes that everyone is good "deep down," which gets him into some serious shit at times. Â Wulfgnar, at least, claims him to be afflicted with "the fatal disease known as stupidity."
Blackfall: "I am purpose." He serves his purpose faithfully and without a second thought, entirely at peace with his tasks. Â He sees others in a calculating, impassive light: either they are a threat, to be taken out; or they are his "brethren" (fellow cultists) to be guided; or they are nothing, to be entirely ignored. Â He does not judge them good or bad, nor look down on them, exactly--but if they are not his concern, well, then they are not his concern.
I'll say what Feral & Blackfall make of others only as they post. Â If anyone considers it too spoilerific and wants it removed just shout

I'll say what Feral & Blackfall make of others only as they post. Â If anyone considers it too spoilerific and wants it removed just shout
- Coppersocket:
- Feral, at least, found her kind: he believed her to be self-sufficient, perhaps a tad bitter but he only felt sorry for her over that. Â He found her self esteem lacking and felt that she deserved better.
- Helmut:
- Feral found him useful, kind, at one point he was irritating, but overall he seems a pleasant, alert sort of fellow, "professionally nosy." Â Blackfall found Helmut's flying machine mildly irritating, however...
- Rae Wulfgnar:
- Feral sees Rae as a brother, a confidant. a zealot, a good man. Â Rae's helped him grow and learn in his life, and has put aside a lot of "law" to help him out; and Feral's sacrificed a great deal (including betraying a friend to their death) to protect Wulfgnar. Â He thinks Rae sees him as someone to protect and be exasperated at--which is, incidentally, exactly how Feral sees him. Â Feral believes, however, that if Rae were ever to see him as being truly an enemy, he wouldn't hesitate to do what he thought was right even if that means turning on him. Â He feels that Rae has come a long way from almost "pure zealot" since he met him, but that he still has some way to go. Â
Blackfall sees Wulfgnar as a hotheaded man of Light; yet he knows that Rae is willing to sacrifice to save others, and he knows that Wulfgnar is nothing if not tenacious, literally fighting to the death. Â
- Jeremias Blackwell:
- Feral sees "Jerry" as a nice fellow with nice shoes, oddly cunning (for lack of a better word) for a priest, and willing enough to help out.
- Monrena:
- Feral holds a deep respect for Monrena and definitely feels as if he owes her. Â At times when he was at his lowest, when family turned against him, it was Monrena, who barely knew him, who sat patiently and helped him back up. Â He feels that the Light works through her strongly.
- Iriel Silversong:
- Feral sees her as a kindred spirit: wanting to do what's right regardless of pesky things like laws. Â He sees her as energetic, humorous and quick-witted, as well as loyal to her friends. Â He would trust her with many of his secrets, aid her wherever he can and request aid when he thinks she can help.
- Mortimer 'binx' Mitts:
- Feral sees Mortimer as a gentle, kind soul, but either up to something or paranoid that others are. Â He feels he's very likely to get himself into trouble. Blackfall sees him as too curious for his own good, nosy and doesn't think that the other day was quite his time to die yet.
- Siegmund:
- Feral: "Seems like a nice fellow." Â He likes Sieg's sense of humor and fighting spirit, and feels that he seems easygoing, somewhat street-smart and fairly good-natured.
- Arenfel:
- OH HERE WE GO. Â Feral quite likes Arenfel and currently trusts him, though due to what he considers a past "betrayal" he's always aware in the back of his mind that Arenfel might--if he felt it morally necessary, as with Wulfgnar--betray Feral's secrets. Â He respects him and will help him wherever he can, and he's deeply grateful for the things Arenfel has done for him, in the past and the present both. Though he's forgiven the thing that once upset him, he hasn't forgotten it, and even his deepest love for what he considers his friend is often tempered with a bit of sorrow at the memory.
Blackfall knows that Arenfel is quite dangerous in combat, though he doesn't fear him (to be fair he doesn't fear). Â He sees him as confident, even fearless, without being overly cocky; he's seen Arenfel's banter and intelligent moral debate even when trapped. Â He also knows that Arenfel seems to have some sort of odd back-and-forth with his own master, the Reaper, and so he doesn't see Arenfel as exactly an enemy, more an occasional ally of convenience and possibly a threat at times. Â He believes that Arenfel is a man with purpose (not in an ambitious sense, but a general purpose in life), who will pursue that purpose with a strong mind and an iron will, yet feels that something tempers him--preventing him from becoming too power-hungry, aggressive and so on... be it wisdom, his past, or morality.
- Paozi:
- Seems like a wise, fairly friendly Pandaren. Â Feral never knew him too well, but he considers him insightful, perhaps due to casual racism on Feral's part.
- Eidan:
- Feral sees in Eidan a shy, sweet, good-natured and kind-hearted "young" man (he has no idea how old he actually is), a kindred spirit in places. Â Unsure of himself and deserving of better treatment than some give, but a pure enough person to change those around him. Â Feral wishes Eidan to be happy with himself, which sometimes has Feral crossing the line and getting nosy or offering unasked-for advice.
- Vaell:
- Feral likes Vaell. Â He finds him amusing, witty, sometimes hilariously fun to toy with or just listen to. Â Vaell understands some things Feral often finds others mocking: like the way a "double dare" is clearly an honor code among men. Â He considers Vaell to be the one who started the chain of events that forced Feral to fake his death and leave the city, but he doesn't mind; the man was just doing his job, after all--Feral doesn't hold it against him. Â He DOES hope that he and Arenfel make up, if they haven't already. Â A little hotheaded (Feral feels due to some insecurity). Â Feral also feels that Vaell tends to get snappy and irritable when in positions of power, perhaps because he's uncomfortable in them.
- Rhannoch:
- "Seems really nice!" Feral doesn't know much more about him than that, but from brief interaction he finds Rhannoch down-to-earth, fairly open and friendly.
- Eve:
- Feral sees Eve as a fiery girl, perhaps small in body but not weak in mind. Â However, he thinks she was badly messed up by a likely horrible past, which he knows not THAT much about. Â He knows that she holds a lot of odd ideas and misconceptions. Â He feels protective over her, thinks her heart's in the right place, grieves for her in her own grief and will watch over her as he swore to his now-dead best friend. Â He worries for her sanity. Â He loves Eve like a sister, or a very close friend, and also wishes to keep watch over her infant. Â He doesn't know if Eve will put herself into danger and die, perhaps out of depression--it's getting him gradually more and more "down" that he can't figure out how to cheer her up.
Blackfall sees Eve as strength as well, but in a different sense: he sees the cold, furious willingness to do whatever is necessary to protect what she deems worthy, as well as having completely different priorities and viewpoints from others. Â He knows that the things she's been through has changed her into something darker and more calculating, perhaps a bit mad, equating her in his mind to a (very very tiny) Frostwyrm, hence his name for her, Wyrmling.
- Anivitas "The Reaper":
- Feral sees Ani in the same way a kicked dog might see a master. Â He is fascinated with him, curious about him, knows he owes him a great deal and feels quite grateful to him. Â He also respects the shit out of him, which often borders on fear. Â He thinks that he is likely a person with a very tragic past who has given up "who" he is to become a stoic, logical "what" instead, for a greater purpose; he believes the elf is wholly repressing his own emotions (even muted by undeath), viewing everything with a terrifyingly intelligent insight. In a world full of unknown things that Feral wishes to learn about, Anivitas is the ultimate puzzle.
Blackfall sees Anivitas as "The Hand," his leader and his master, and has little actual opinion on him. Â He does respect him and his age and the effort he puts in, he views him with deference and he trusts Ani's wisdom and purpose for now; other than that he is as void toward Anivitas as toward anything else, aside from a vague reverence. Â Anivitas is the only one who can make Blackfall doubt his own decisions, though it's more because Ani tends to immediately see things that Blackfall has somehow overlooked. Â Blackfall's true loyalty is to the Hand itself, and as long as Anivitas is that Hand, it is where Black's loyalties will lie; if Anivitas told Blackfall to jump off a cliff, Black would not hesitate or ask why. Â Blackfall was brought to the Hand by purpose and fate, and it is his to guide, protect and to prune if needs be, and that includes Anivitas... though he has no illusions about it being a winning battle, should the Reaper ever truly become corrupted in purpose. Â Sometimes, Blackfall worries about his leader's sanity, however. Blackfall does believe in purpose and fate, and believes that his and Anivitas' have coincided--that Anivitas, and the Hand, are Blackfall's "place." Unlike Feral, Blackfall is not particularly curious about his master, his past or his motivations, assuming that whatever the Reaper wishes him to know, he will tell him.
- Simaria:
- Feral sees Simaria as a little sister, and as something of an inspiration. Â Whenever he gets even a little bit down, seeing Simaria reminds him of what a difference external kindness and internal determination can make in someone's life. He remembers her shy, paranoid, hostile previous self who barely understood human emotion; and he compares it to her strong, cunning and typical teen attitude now (rash, know-it-all and stubborn), and he smiles. Simaria is another reminder to him that deep inside, everyone is good: he always saw a kind person beneath what she was, and believed that -who- she was had yet to be found. Â Aside from just his thoughts, his feelings are strong: he loves her like family, he has put his life on the line for her and would do so again. He has more of a history with Simaria than with anyone, most likely, from the time he took her hostage as an enemy right up until he pulled every string he could to get her into a "more normal" life, and beyond.
Blackfall has met Simaria only once: he considered her fiery, brave despite her fear. Â He felt nothing, however, aside from "not being amused" at her ability to wield fire.
- Pvithe Windfury:
- Feral hardly knows Pvithe, having only met him a couple of times, but what he does know, he likes. Â The elf made a big impression; few have made Feral as quickly uncomfortable as the elf did in the space of a two-minute practical joke insisting that the energy exchange he'd just given the worgen was "sex." Â That said, Feral sees a surprisingly open mind, and a sharp one--if perhaps somewhat dark--and a grinning wit, both things which set Pvithe apart, to him.
- Thondalar Stormleaf:
- Feral thinks of Thondalar as a good friend, a teacher, but also young, somewhat naive and requiring protection--less so of late; Thondalar seems to be growing wise to the world and more confident every day. Â Thondalar is one of three elves who guided Feral toward druidism, and one of the ones who stuck by him and gave him the most practical assistance and non-metaphorical aid. Â As for a person, he sees youth, inexperience, a hidden streak of rage that comes out when pushed, a noble and pure spirit though one very young. Â At times he somehow thinks of Thondalar as younger than himself, even, despite the elf being perhaps ten times his age. Â The elf seems wide-eyed and open-minded (moreso now than before), often oblivious (which Feral finds endearing), kind and compassionate. Â And one thing Feral knows is that Thondalar will always try and do the right thing, morally--and he respects that deeply, all else aside. Thon has been with Feral through thick and thin, he's seen the best and the worst of the elf, seen his refusal to leave a losing battle that may end in death; yet he's seen his rage, as well. Â In the end, what Feral sees most, is a friend.
Blackfall has only "met" Thondalar briefly. Â He saw a young creature, an elf with the potential to become--should he survive--something powerful and wise, like Blackfall's master.
- Tachal Stormclaw:
- The first time Feral saw the elf Tachal, he saw someone alone and in immense pain, and wished he could help him find happiness and peace. Â Through a brutal turn of events, he's been given the chance to aid with this. Â The elf has taught Feral a great deal, and Feral sees him as wise--as befits an elf of his age--yet unlike many elves, Tachal (Feral believes) has been unable to simply "turn off" his emotions, leading to a calm and collected exterior hiding a brooding, passionate, thinking and feeling person beneath. Â
He sees the elf as intelligent, as cautious or even paranoid as he himself is (which is a relief to be around, for Feral, since now it's not just him doing the "just in case" planning), caring and gentle when possible, and surprisingly empathetic underneath the businesslike shell. Â He also knows that Tachal has a "business side" as does Feral himself; he understands it and appreciates that Tachal can understand this side of Feral, too. Â Feral also sees Tachal as an equal--someone he would protect, but who can also protect Feral. Â He has come to love the elf, and plans to stay with Tachal for as long as he can; his hope is that when his own lifespan runs out, he'll have been able to teach the elf to live in the "now" and enjoy his own life, to dwell on the "good" in his past rather than the sad. Â Lastly, Feral is grateful to Tachal: for staying with him, for teaching him, and for accepting him and putting up with all of his illegal and bizarre beliefs, quirks and friends.
- Sohan:
- Feral likes Sohan, despite having initially been angry at his ponytail... Â He sees him as a cunning, self-assured, happy-go-lucky type who can turn on the serious face when required. Â He's one of the few people Feral sees as not needing "help;" he knows where he is, where he's going, and he's got the street smarts, determination and easygoing-ness to get there without much issue. Â Feral also respects him for his honest attitude, no matter the circumstances, and his ability to--as the Blades saying goes--get the job done.
- Kittrina:
- Feral sees Kittrina as a strong person, to whom he was quite loyal; he feels that she was the heart and moral core of the Blades for Hire. He believes her to be level-headed, intelligent, and in his mind, though she has the same potential he and the other Blades did for going "cold" and shutting out emotion to kill, he felt that she was hesitant about doing so--possibly due to having gone overboard in the past and regretting it. As a result he felt that she was the most tempered Blade--hence his trust and respect for her. There is not a lot Feral would not have done for Kittrina; when she left with a new family for a new life, it was bittersweet. He misses her, but he's very happy that she's gone on to a hopefully better life.

Re: (Out of Date) Characters - Self-View, and the view of other 2013-14
Monrena - A classic stereotype blond in draenei form?
see's herself as a kind and caring draenei..she openly admits she can have a temper issue at times, however she truly thinks she is hard working loyal and honest to all she knows..she does not like to hate yet knows she fails at this..all in all she knows she is a poor example of a draenei and is thus always trying to better herself and seeks guidance and knowledge wherever she can find it, she admits she is a geek when it comes to engeneering
how other people see her, some see her as irrational, emotional.. stupid..even rude, they however knwos when she is in a good mood to watch out as she likes her jokes and pranks.. thow the disciples quickly put a stop to any pranks being sent there way..
gona do a feral here..

gona do a feral here..
- Coppersocket:
- @coppersocket: monny see's her as a troubled gnome.. yet is also incredably curious about her..after several talks ranging from phelosophy and general life and there polar opposite views she has always wanted to studdy this strange gnome.. to help and guide her to health, she is (unbeknown to her) who monny would class a gnome friend.. she is yet to find out about nifty's demise who she also thought of as a friend
- Helmut:
- @helmut: monrena has not seen much of helmut so far, what she has seen each time has eather been a grab for power and someone who would take anothers possessions for the simple pourpous of experimentation.. as such she classes this poor gnome under one word  "leach", one person she would be more than happy never seeing again
- Feral:
- @feral: innocent kind caring.. perhaps miss-fortunate and easy to manipulate, she harbors a wish to protect feral and deeply misses him
- Irene:
- @Irene: Monrena has always liked irene.. she has been a real help to monrena in her time and managed to get good friends at one point, however Monrena feels that lately Irene has been overworked.. apears stressed and is worried about the excess workload put on her,, she has great pride in Irene as she always puts others before herself yet also feels a little saddened that they could never just relax and hang out anymore
- Tuomas:
- @tuomas: after a very rocky start Monny saw Tuomas as an arrogant fool who would meddle in things that were not his concern, after a few not so present encounters she began to slowly "soften" up around him.. she can see his heart was in the right place now but has not really had the chance to have a meaningful conversation
- Drustai:
- Drustai - monrena has always held drustai in high reguard.. she would class durstai as a friend.. thow she routeenly hurts monrena's feelings, monny has attributed this to the undead side of her.. and for a while Monrena would do just about anything for drustai, however hings begin to sower when her constant use of necromancy started hurting everyone monrena knew and loved.. After that there friendship never quite recovered.. As of this moment monrena is sympathetic towards drustai and wants to truly help drustai regain her honour by putting her into the eternal rest of the naaru's buzzom.. something she truly feels is not the only thing that can save drustai
- Areyah:
- Areyah - has not seen much of her.. however what little she did see, she saw a compitent leader and a strong authority figure.. Monrena respects her as Areyah keeps things strictly professional and is even open to her ideas and suggestions even if others may disapprove, Monrena would have no problem following under her command again if such a situation ever arrived
- Wulfgnar:
- Wulfgnar - After a very shaky start monrena at first thought Wulfgnar was nothing more than a brute.. a warrior who liked to bully others and abuse the light, however as time goes on.. the more she learns of wulfgnar.. the more he realizes that he is actualy quite a sad man.. And as such has been trying to subtly cheer him up and help him, thow sadly this has on a few times backfired and landed her in trouble.. she is slowly starting to feel that she may soon be able to call Wuflgnar "friend"
- Arenfel:
- Arenfel - Monrena has only had a few breaf encounters with this man.. when drustai started to fall from grace, he was one of the ringleaders that began the withchunt against Drustai.. even thow Monrena has since reconciled with him she is still not able to fully trust arenfel threw fear that he may yet again turn on one of her friends
- Paozi:
- Paozi -
Known chubby bar fellow - this version of Paozi monny knows and likes.. is a jolly fellow who loves a good laugh.. Monrena realy likes this pandaria and wishes to visit him at some point
Unknown shadopan paozi - Monny discoversd that this high ranking shado-pan warrior wishes to have her head as she was as was told a sha risk.. however she was eventually and simply given a warning that she would be watched closely.. as such the sight of any shado-pan unnerves her and even scares her a little with that looming threat over her head whenever in pandaria, espeshialy when around this warrior in paticular
- Eidan:
- Eidan - ever since her close encounter with a few deathknights not long ago, monrena has feard most deathknights.. when she found out eidan was undead she grew nervous around him.. however as she has seen wulfgnar accept him then she has seen fit to trust him, she watches him closley but is warming up to him now

Well, describing their relation to other posters isn't what I had intended, but I suppose it's a nice addition. Although I think adding people your characters have no relation to, is just waste of space.

I guess that would fall into "the view of other" part.

I suppose, but not exactly what I had in mind. I was thinking a broader perspective, how they perceive the world around them, rather than specific people. But y'know. This is good too.

Re: (Out of Date) Characters - Self-View, and the view of other 2013-14
Iriel Silversong Iriel doesn't view herself much as a certain individual, as she tends more to observe others and tends to hate failure. Though she knows she is of sly and cunning behavior and that she knows to use her surroundings to cause and effect or result. She never has thought of her duty to Stormwind as a 'job' but something is meant to be done for the people of the kingdom,  knowledge more or less falls in the same logic to Iriel. She tries with effort to understand the truth of the problems placed before her and  the responsibility trusted onto her. Some only highly moral. She hastes racism and judge others for what they are... she rather judge them for what they do and they don't attempt to sort it out.
How I see others
Copper Iriel sees copper as the gnome who is always in the middle and yet grows tired to know more. She's honestly doesn't know what to make of Copper but sure is good to see that gnome around, to Iriel means something new may be cooking on the streets other than that she finds her strangely kind and skillful due to her 'injuries'
Helmut Iriel likes helmut as much you love an annoying housemate who leaves a pile of dishes everyday to be washed. She sometimes would punt him to the skies and at the same time listen onto what the gnome has to share or wish to know, she understands him into the context of how espionage work is and yet loves his smug remarks, she cannot help but be confused under his sadistic side shown recently. He is useful and witty, a not hard to love gnome.
Feral Ah... we're to start with Feral, Iriel would punch him one day to have committed such stupid action under non confirmed situations, but at the same times she respects and understands him, though she doesn't completely understands that utter nurturing serious kindness and where he gets the strength from to continue with such she will continue to support him, she likes Feral he is helping these who would not be helped or guided and anyone who needs it even if it means a long psychological chat.
Monrena Iriel sees Monrena as a lost in conection being, so meek in personality and yet always cheerful so easy to talk to and yet also so easy to confuse, she is still trying to work how old the Draenei is to know how much actually she has lived to try and know what happened in her life to have left her so 'lost', Iri enjoy talking to monrena in her smart moments or mons lost moments anyhow she's always a box of smiles always pleasant to see.
Blackfall mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...............! That's really the expression from Iriel with shifty eyes tapping her cheek, Not much she can say from the wolf of darkness, other than a leveled respect .
Siegmund To Iriel Sieg is a close friend whom she trusts and unites for some smug comments, she very much sees someone she respects and can talk too despise how they're unlikely current friendship began, she sees sieg as someone smart that if you don't know well you should watch out, non the less he is someone kind and listens to other, whether he will do what hes told is another story
Stig Iriel doesn't like or dislike the guy she simply is very careful around him since during current events she decided he is someone one cannot trust on and with more reason someone who should be watched, she thinks of him as manipulative person
Tuomas She respects Tuomas and likes the fact he knows what to do during duty, she hasn't spoken with for a long time and had bad arguments with him in the past non the less now she thinks he needs to listens others a little more, she enjoys his sense of humor . Still curious what is he up to this time.
Damon Samuels The first time she met damon he was a shield despise the differences between they're units they managed to get along and work well together sharing the duty of being a guard, and yet Iriel has always been impressed by his calmness and need to help without ever getting annoyed or rising his voice, as they're companionship grew closer Iri very much believes she would of lost it comepletely without him, he holds her sanity. She very much loves him dearly, but she won't acknowledge it directly!
Eidan Iriel cannot stop but be surprised by Eidan as she sees him as a true friend and clearly trusts him with her life, while she thinks she may be slightly influenciable and vulnerable when he could step up being much strongher and get close to the goal he wishes, she understands his admiration to the living, and sometimes feels the suffering by imagining how does he feel, due to being close to Clara, she only wishes him to steop up and growl and be scary now and then so no one crushes him, she does fear if he will end up insane now for his latests decissions, non the less she will attempt to help him always.
Simaria To Iriel Simi is like a sister, who she sees grow stronger day by day in her magi studies...She also knows she holds back her anger and that she should let it go or talk to someone instead of holding back, Iriel would always protect her no matter what is to come.
John Ralegh There's no doubt Iri will always cover his back, she sorta dislike him the first day when she met him in Gilneas not helping but find his comments spot on anc clear, from that day on she ends up considering him family and no one will change that, and she's proud he is her captain so there's no doubt she will follow and if needed knock some guidance onto her, after all she  is  'old'
Anne Shieldheardt She respects and hopes she steps up more, to Iriel Anne is  not only a great Paladin to be example to many but a great colleague, who is fierce at battle but has power enough to worry for others, she is glad to share  ground with her and if required she will once again work at her side. Expecting to see what is her path onto the light to become.
Lavian 'Clara' Iriel since her elven young years known her, she has always despise her slow aging inseparable to her Clara is a sister, and helped her when her sister vanishes onto a dark path, and most of all she owes not only her friendship but her life as Clara paid the ultimate price during the siege of Dalaran for her to live and later on she was risen as a Knight of the Scourge, Iriel considers Clara took her fate offering her life and by that she honors this everyday, but she will stand by Clara unconditionally aid her or protect her, just like that day and her days of friendship who are not over. Clara has Iriel's trust completely
Arenfel Despise of being of other blood and race, she considers Arenfel her father despise adoptive or not, she admires him greatly and only wishes to try and make him proud like many of his students has done, but herself or she believes, she sometimes feels embarrased when he shows her childhood pictures around, but is happy that he speaks of her, he has done so much for her over the years that she doens't know how can she ever thank him, she wouldn't be where she is without Arenfel and his wife.
Wulfgnar She respects and adores Wulfgnar, she can easily talk to him and she knows he hears her, most of the time, she is still a bit hurt knowing that his identity to the light makes him forget his close friends, but no matter she will always be at his side to give him support and listen to him if he wishes, she is happy he considers her a sister and she does so too.
Vaell Silvine She's seen Vaell grow along with her despise her slow aging to her he is Family, and he still drives her insane with his noncense non the less she very much loves him as a big brother and is secretly proud of him, even though she does think the -pain- and -treat- experiment is helping him on his behavior, she sees he is a much better mage than her but she will indeed beat him on that too , one day!
Adrielle Iriel is very fond of Adrielle and grew to consider her  a great friend who she trusts with everything, she does miss her lots since she went off to travel!
Timmy Timmy is Iriel's best friend and brother like, they both know each other for ages and went through a lot, they always been friends no matter what and she is grateful he always go her back as he can count she will always have his  back covered, no matter. She adores him like a brother and can make anyone around him smile, Iri admires his abitlity to do so. She would give her life for him.
Zelium Iri and Zelium didn't start quite good when Zel arrived into Stormwind, but Iri quickly understood him and respects him to her he is also one of her best friends and will and shall fight by him anytime, risk or not of death, she does think he rushes into trouble willingly most of the time but she would not change they're friendship for the world she is happy to have known him and the years to come, after all he is Pecarius Blue .
Cathee Iriel at start was unsure of Cathee she seemed meek and scared but yet she sometimes showed that strongh personality, Iriel has grown fond of Cathee and sees her as a good friend, she will support and help her when she requires she knows Cathee well more or less and knows the girl is capable of resolving the biggest problems she has a good mind.
Kiara Riverstone Iriel does not know her very well for what she's seen she does think she's only working as a guard to be close to Timmy after it it all she does most of the time, she finds pathetic that she lays down on the Infermery bed with Timmy most of the time when the others are working, she does think she should not do that while on duty as Iriel kicks anyone who hangs out and she's not different she does not dislike her for linking Timmy, but does think she is usesless with her sticky current behaviour with Timmy, and Iri is growing tired of it. That's why she loves pranking her.... Currently: Iriel believes she's got to know Kiara better and that she has shown real potential, for now she sees that she cares for what she does and puts great effort, she finds her reliable an able, shes showing potentional and not being a dependant human being but someone who can give orders to others and someone she sees she can end up trusting in, who knows if in the future Kiara may even become a close friend, perhaps!

Stig: Right now is an emotional nerve wreck who's existance is pretty much day by day. He is currently recovering from a depression though it can spring up again at any moment. He knows this himself and feels it is just another burden.
Mortimer 'binx' Mitts: He sees himself as a helpfull person and personally thinks he is doing an exceptional job at it though he keeps that to himself. He hates his worgen form loves his feline form and dont mind walking around as human. He doesnt feel like the best druid in the world though but that is normal I guess. He is also somewhat mad at himself to times and sad over the loss of his pregnant wife during the worgen infestation in Gilneas
Charles Phillip Scene: Sees himself as sane though he knows he has two personalities which both like to come out all the time. Phillip sees Charles as a dumbass but doesnt try to take over the body fully due to the fact that Charles seems to be the more people friendly businessman. Phillip views himself as a skilled mage though that is yet to be proven. Charles views Phillip as a evil person as he knows for a fact that if he let him control over the body for more than a few minutes he would try and burn shit down. To resume this: He both loves and hates himself. He is confident and has a sense for business.
Heir'tar "Charlie" Lighrunner: Views himself as a funny guy that is always requied to do jokes. He thinks his morals are just about right and feels he has too much responsibility for his age, now having to watch three children while continuing balancing the rest of his life.
Sarthia Lighrunner: Views herself as a strong independent woman that does what she can best. She knows her place in the world and cannot help but feel anger and confusion towards her son seeing he is Alliance and raising three HUMAN! children.

- Spoiler:
- Abigail Baal: His girlfriend, need I say more? He likes her very much and would like to get to know her better than he already does. He is suspecting her to be related with Professor Baal in some way.
Iriel Silversong: She saved his life after being attacked by the Scourge in the Barrens of all places. She also took big part in making him and Nasheli a couple for as long it lasted. He feels he can trust her but is a little scared of her after recent events.
Rick: He sees Rick as one of his closest friends because he dont feel he has many. Rick was also one of the keys to his behaviour changing and would gladly help him with most things.
Nasheli: His ex girlfriend, once one of the pieces of his puzzle and now cause for awkward conversations. He is not sure what he feels for her anymore though he will still remember her far into the future.
Professor Baal: A valuable ally? he helped him with many problems(many means two appearently) he didnt dare go to the Disciples to solve. Perhaps he was right in doing  so or perhaps he just doomed many a soul by doing this he has yet to decide if he thinks he is a good person or just in it for his own benefit. So far their relationship has been based on needs.
Allonia Miral: Again, he is not sure what to make of her though he trusts her. He is not sure if she would help him if they werent colleagues but as she has helped him with personal issues he would help her.
Menori Moonblade: He thought she was scary though as of recent he has learned to like her as a friend. He also rents her old house so yeah.. He is not sure how far he would go to save her due to previous happenings.
Siegmund: um.. His boss ofcourse! Nothing goes beyond that, he views the director as somewhat of a clown and can hardly take him seriously anymore. Pretty paranoid about sarcasm though he sometimes acts as if he didnt think it was to just make sure it was/wasnt.
the world: He embraces it with a come at me bro! Sometimes he wishes he'd just fade away though. When feeling suicidal he would usually dismiss the temptation by thinking of those he cares for and how bad they would feel when losing him. He views suicide as a selfish thing indeed.
Whiskey: He's been drinking alot lately and whiskey is his favourite drink by far. put this in here cause why the heck not. It could almost be considered his friend.
- Spoiler:
- Lucy Gildhart: He views her as a young person who needs to be protected, hence why he stays in catform and acts as her pet. He thinks she is nice but doesnt want to reveal his true goal or identity to her yet.
Iriel Silversong: She understands why he is always near the command center and near Lucy. He is still not sure what to make of her but he sees her as a kind elf and so far nothing but positive things to say of her.
Jonathan Ralegh: Mean man who makes his "job" a pain in the ass as he cannot have constant eye on Lucy while she is on duty. Other than that he thinks it is fun to make him chase him for good sport. Except when he brings guns.. Seriously dont bring a gun to a paw fight.
Derek Shehperd: He feels this man has something to hide and does not trust him fully though he likes him as a person.
Arkadi: Psychopath, yeah.. He lost his soles to him so he is somewhat terrified of him but he is still questioning wether he would rip him to shreds if he had the chance. He tries not to think of him much though he might be the only person he despises with all his heart.
Blackfall: Absolutely terrified and does not want to meet him again though he feels that he might see him again soon.
Freelancers in general: He likes them, well since he works for them he cant really get away now can he?
Schizomage/Charles Phillips views on others:
Arkadi/Mike: Phillip likes Arkadi and Chales likes Mike, since he is the only person he can relate to with his contidion he feels a kind of brotherly bond with him allthough he has only met him twice. Both would like to work with them. It seems that Phillip dislikes Mike and Charles dislikes Arkadi.
Freelancers: He has not had too much to do with them though they saved him from the hands of dark iron dwarves in blackrock mountain and feels he owes them a great deal still even though he has already given them discounts on most his things in his shop.
Sohan Simmons: Business associate and so far his only connection to the Blades. He feels like Sohan is a decent man though that is subject to change.
Charlies views on others:
- Spoiler:
- Allonia Miral: He finds her a bit strange not sure how to feel about her. He is grateful however as she saved him from an uncertain future after getting kidnapped by evil people.
Wolf: To him a friend. Not sure wether or not he is being used or not but nontheless he likes hanging around the lady. He has some respect for him and hopes he wont die any time soon.
Siegmund: Not sure wether trustworthy or not, so he simply doesnt trust him but dont blame Siegmund blame his paranoia.
Helmut: Someone that can give him stuff if he does stuff for him! Money yay!
Feodor Equalius: Disgusted by his moral code. He likes to think he could assassinate him if he wanted but wants him alive due to maybe some job opurtunities in the future, also he loves to annoy him.
Iriel Silversong: Really the only one that has caught on to his involvement in crimes with the cartel, he is cautious around her not knowing her very well and perhaps has a little crush though he does not show that.
Harmony Equalius: A noble lady, also Feodors daughter. He likes to think she could be the key to the estate and could perhaps see some kind of relationship later down the line.
Tom Sirchez: He lost most respect for the guy after the incident with the baby held hostage. However he doesnt see that as totally unforgivable as he doubt Tom would actually pull the trigger.
Bradley Wright: He has some respect for the guy, not too sure on him yet. Like most of the people around the shady lady.
Xaphane Iero: He sees her as a nice girl but he wonders why she is with Tom.
Sarthia Lightrunner: A snobbish Blood Elf that just happens to be his mother. She is far too old school Lightrunner and he has mixed feelings with her.
Sarthia Lightrunners feelings:
- Spoiler:
- Thaleon Darksun: A handsome young boy about the age of her son. He is also very nice.
Gnivil: A curious man but she doesnt trust him fully, especially with all the talk about demons.
Charlie Lightrunner: Irresponsible and too young to watch kids. She wants him to come back. After all her ten year long search for him ended with him not coming with her. Why wouldn't he? I mean Stormwind is full of humans, it doesn't make sense!

Siegmund - Sarcastic seeker of new things
He sees the world as something full of things to see and experience. The concept of changing it seems like a fools quest to him, thought he does belive a person could change. He likes to live in the present. Survival is a main part of him, but possibly greedy as well thinking that if you can survive it's good, but if you survive and take a big chunk of honey with it even better.
He more changes mood on the situation, but retains his sarcasm and irony as if that's how the world rolls. He prefers to watch drama that doesn't involve him, yet sometimes diving in to make it worse if he so wishes just for the entertainment value. He does have a serious aproach to things, just mostly to sarcasm. Also he belives there is always cracks to slip trough, be it law or other instances in life (Even the very simple ones)
He has had some bad experience with some people/races, still he rather goes to judge by induvidials, undead may be a exception, but those not trying to kill/threaten him can be cosidered interesting or of value like the rest. It's really hard to say if he cares about anything at times.

- Specific people:
- Coppersocket: He has seen her, but doesn't really know her as much. But from what he did, he does find her will to live worth of some respect, but no pity, since that would decrease the value of the respect.
Helmut: Probably the one he knows the most so far here: He thinks Helmut is one of those people/gnomes who can be a pain in the backside, but can get the job done and done well. Probably could consider him as a sort of drinking buddy among other, especially with already have fought alongside him. Still cheeky little bastard is more worth in the end, like a pug who can bite as well as bark.
Feral: The friendly friend of everyone, but himself. He does note his kindness and waving to everyone he knows, but he doesn't view him anything more then that. He thinks he'll get himself killed sooner or later.
Monrena: Doesn't know her too well, probably though sees her akin to feral in niceness, but other than that doesn't know her.
Blackfall: He doesn't know him, but if he did "Kill it with fire."
Tuomas: Even though not really the closest of people, he knows him enough. Always seen him as some rebel with honor that loves women and gets into truble more of the latter then the first two. He considers him as a friendly acquaintance that somehow keeps loosing his head in more meanings then one. He does trust him to a certain point.
Stig: He knows him from working for the Freelancers. Doesn't really think of his as anything special except that he is a magnet for truble. Other than that a regular person who is a pretty decent meat shield type guy. But he feels no real hate or liking to him.
Iriel: Even if things started out strange he feels as if they ended up pretty close as friends, someone who he can put his trust into as if she were his sister and even jokes around with people together in the same way. He does find her as someone strong willed and not to take lightly due to her being cunning and resourceful, but still kind and prepared to put a lot on the line.

Re: (Out of Date) Characters - Self-View, and the view of other 2013-14
Tuomas is kinda the classic selflish being who likes to see himself as selfless. He  knows, or thinks he knows, he's a huge series of flaws but if before he tended to hide them, now he's definitely right in your face about them. He is a pervy yet caring person, but his motivations are mainly due to primary instincts: survival and protection. He's a perv, and a very loud mouthed about it, but that serves him twice: one, so he makes known he doesn't want anything serious from a relation as he believes he can't handle them, two, prevents people from being surprised or worse when they find out, considerigng he's had very bad experiences about it. He's a very pragmatic person: he didn't join the Regiment for any reason beyond the need of money, and the fact that he can't do much else but fight. Still, he's not the kinda person who'd get corrupted. He's a very strong sense of honor and of his word, and  when he says something, he really means it and he, in fact, never actually lies(but do lies by omission count?).
How he sees the world: he thinks it is shit, and there's little to no reason to actually care, he just wants a place to return to someday and spend the rest of his life.
For those he knows(addenda in case):
Iriel: He likes her and her sense of pragmatism. Yes, and her curves too, of course. Seriously, he knows her sense of duty and, in the Regiment, he feels she's the one of the few people he could actually trust in the Regiment if situations get awry.
Copper: He's talked to her little and he somehow feels wrong when she's around. Despite so, he somehow admires her, even her sense of 'logic'.
Helmut: He feels him like a friend, but the tricky kind of friend you can actually trust only when the situation needs it. He'd give his llife in Helmut's hands anytime in the battlefield, but he'd never do that as far as politics go. He feels him as somewhat too much close to the higher ups to actually trust him enough. Besides, he's a gnome, so he's out of his radar even for more intimate purposes.
Feral: Random suspicious passerby. He's little memories of when he used to come to the Gilnean meetings, but that aside, the man's a msytery to him.
Monrena:"Draenei: the first to tell you about the Light, its forgiveness and its love, and the first to abuse your trust in them." He likes Monrena, he feels her as a friend of sorts, but at he same time he can't really trust her, considering she was the reason a year and more ago he was caught. That does not mean he'd not hit on her, mind, but he could not nor he would try to build more than a distant friendship.
Siegmund is somewhat 'there'. He's a nice person to talk to and he got involved with him in some serious troubles in the past. Tuo somewhat envies him and his ability to delve in society and build something(or inherit it) but other than that, he just keeps hoping he's gonna keep Allonia out of (most) troubles. For Sieg's sake, to the very least.

How he came across as a manipulative person is beyond me. Someone who should be watched, definatly he gets in a lot of shit even for his age. ^^ Very funny that this was how she looks at him though because he thinks pretty straight forward and not very often into depth with what he is actually doing xDIriel Silversong wrote:

Re: (Out of Date) Characters - Self-View, and the view of other 2013-14
Areyah is a narcissist. Though she acknowledges her personal failings, these do not make her doubt in herself. She remains confident and determined. She has a "true" superiority complex. While most people who have "superiority" complexes are actually trying to mask an internal inferiority complex, Areyah actually believes herself superior, and as such sees no need to prove herself to others. She tries to maintain her reputation, but only because it is a responsibility of her profession. At heart, she doesn't really care about the opinions of others and will jump on opportunities to "let her hair down". She knows her capabilities and doesn't need other people to validate her.
Of course, this means she has a very dim view of people around her. This is not to the point that she doesn't care about them, but that she views others in a rather patronizing fashion--inferior beings who need her to protect them from external and internal threats. While she is willing to sacrifice her own well-being for them, it does result in her treating them poorly, or even discounting them entirely if she views their issues as of little real importance. Being of the nobility herself, she cares little for the plights of the peasant. Unless lives are at stake, she will encourage those lesser than her to learn how to pick themselves up and solve their own problems. This can make her seem heartless, but she simply believes that it is better to solve problems with one's own personal drive, ambition, and skill, rather than relying on others for aid. As she sees it, she is helping them more by teaching them to help themselves rather than simply solving their problems for them.
Drustai on the other hand, though often acting as arrogant as Areyah, lacks the same true confidence. Though she consciously believes herself superior to most people around her, subconsciously she is still trying to overcome her own internal doubts. She is trying to prove, to herself as much as as to others, that she is powerful, important, and valuable. She told herself and others that she was using necromancy to try and conquer death, but as much of it was simply trying to stand out, to do something others were unwilling to do and thus be more special than them.
Drustai's view of others, therefore, is actually hostile rather than snide. She views them as competition, people who could potentially shine brighter than she. Thus she treats them as inferior and mocks them regularly as a way of downplaying their status and abilities and making herself stand out as more skilled and powerful. An example of this was the title of archmage. Though she is very skilled, and just as powerful as any archmage, the draenei do not regularly use the title. She only began to use it after being surrounded by Dalarani archmagi like Arenfel. In Common, Arcanist--the title most draenei spellcasters use, regardless of abilities--is a lesser title next to Archmage. Therefore, Drustai took the title of Archmage so that she would be viewed at an equal level as the archmagi of Dalaran. Her peers were competition. Though her abilities were equal or greater than theirs, her title was not--and thus she took a higher title, so that she would not be viewed as lesser.
Saphra has an inferiority complex and lacks any kind of real ambition outside of personal survival. Therefore, she doesn't try and present herself as better than she is. She consciously accepts that she is inferior, and takes comfort in that. Ultimately, she is a character that seeks to avoid danger to herself, and so prefers to submits to her weaknesses rather than fight against them.
Due to this view, she seeks to latch on to others. She sees other people as superior and more capable than herself, and views them primarily by whether they are beneficial or threatening to her well-being. She has very little empathy for others, and so anyone that falls under neither category barely even registers in her mind. Even friends and family are seen from this lens--she cares about them only so long as they feed her needs (of which emotional comfort is a need). She is very quick to discard even family and friends when they cease being able to provide for her.

Opinions
Helmut:
- Spoiler:
- Areyah views Helmut as a useful tool. Though the gnome's behavior often annoys her, she recognizes that that behavior is precisely what she needs. Many people will view a fool as a fool, and so be more likely to drop their guard down around him and let important details slip. Additionally, Areyah believes that Helmut lacks the cunning to realize how he could use the information he gets as a weapon against his "master". Areyah trusts Helmut as her eyes and ears, because she believes his motives are simple and open, unlike other infiltrators like Paozi or Raelan who clearly have their own hidden schemes in mind.
Monrena:
- Spoiler:
- Drustai despises Monrena. Though she is kin, she seems to lack the brains to keep herself out of trouble. Drustai is tired of trying to protect her from herself, and so gives her little attention anymore. Areyah on the otherhand, though often getting annoyed by Monrena's behavior, respects the tools that the draenei can bring to the table--tools that seem to be uncommon amongst the rest of the Disciples (like mines).
Iriel:
- Spoiler:
- Drustai doesn't have much of an opinion on Iriel, but does feel sorry for having used her sympathies as a way to get her close enough to stab during her escape from the 1st Regiment cells. Areyah on the other hand has mixed opinions of Iriel. On the one hand, she believes that Iriel has a good head on her shoulders, and can be intelligent. On the other, the elf is too consumed by her emotions. In Areyah's opinion, Iriel would make a fine officer if she learned self-control. Until then, she is a wild card who is very unreliable in any situation where emotions run high--such as deaths, interunit disputes, and so on.
Siegmund:
- Spoiler:
- Areyah views Siegmund as reliable. Their relationship is entirely professional, and regularly productive. This is exactly what Areyah wants from the people she works with, and something she greatly respects.
Tuomas:
- Spoiler:
- Drustai is somewhat bitter towards Tuomas, still resenting the worgen for his slaying of a draenei while helping the Ebon Shroud break her out of prison. She believes he has a good heart, but that he is too quick to jump to stupid decisions. Saphra meanwhile viewed him as a potential friend--he was a Last Chancer, like her, and took time to approach her and get to know her. She is upset that he was removed from the unit, as he seemed to be the only one she could find some common ground with.

Thats the thing that I like with Areyahs and Helmuts relationship. They both sort of get eachother and are not out agaisnt eachother. Helmut has very much respect for Areyah and would not want to see her go down as he sees Areyah as a very intelligant person. Helmut would never try to sabotage someone who gives him good jobs and he knows that if he keeps himself in good terms with Areyah he will keep his authority and rank. As she rise in rank Helmut is simply drafting behind her.Drustai wrote:

They also share common enemys and other things that annoys them and Helmut does see Areyah as a friend and someone who he can share a good drink with. I don't think that Helmut sees himself as a tool used by her, he is not clever enough, but if he were to realize that he would probebly be pretty okay with it.

I would assume he would, yes. He's a parasite, but it's a symbiotic relationship that benefits both parties.

Re: (Out of Date) Characters - Self-View, and the view of other 2013-14
A very interesting thread. I think I will introduce a three descriptive word summary for my characters and how they view others to help point out particular things.
Krogon Devilstep:
Cunning, Deceptive, Cold.
Krogon is a rather curious character in terms of how he was developed. 'Different from Seiken' was the original basis, and he's certainly that. Rather than strength of arms and courage I slowly but surely crafted out a character who uses cunning and deception above all else to solve his problems. To that end, Krogon develops a particular set group of traits with the use of a sort of memory palace (his 'tree of the mind'), using meditation and often deep reflection. So he certainly knows what he is, what he can do and why.
with discipline and a modest approach to his interactions with others, his traits and skills are often a mystery or hidden from view. He likes this, being a mystery, it makes him hard to anticipate or combat in words or actions. Therefore, this makes his close social circle small and select as he's very guarded in both personal and tactical terms. As a result, he try's to foster the outward appearance of being cold and uninterested (a lot of the time he really is), Socialising and friends/family are not of great importance to him. All of this is because He lives very literally for the Horde and its ideals, for which he'd lay down his life for an instant and break any rule to protect.
However, to his surprise when he has revealed the true audacity of his plans or acts has been called "Egotistical"... which he was surprised by, as nothing he does is ever really for himself. He's come to accept this as part and parcel of 'big actions', when you do something openly that catches others out or seems impressive, it will look ego filled despite it not being the slightest bit intended.
If I was to sum Krogon up in one word that others may use to describe him, it would be "Shrewd". Though he is deviously cunning, strangely modest and deeply aware of himself he doesn't realise just how practical and to the point he is, nor how sharp and astute his dealings are. Its all about the business at hand and the goal at the end of the road.
(EDIT: also aware none of you have interacted with krogon either xD)
Opinions:
(I'l put some up here in due course, though sadly few people who have interacted with him have posted here. Though he's observed areyah i'm doubtful krogon has established a worthy opinion of her)

Re: (Out of Date) Characters - Self-View, and the view of other 2013-14
Arenfel Serentyne
Family:
Students:
Enemies
- Himself:
- Arenfel views himself as an educator and a parent, attempting to change the way other people view the arcane. He believes it amounts to more than a weapon, and is a choice that affects a persons entire lifestyle. To that end, he bestows that ethos on his adoptive children and his students in the vain hope they carry it on to the next generation.
Despite the exuberant and showy facade he often puts on to entertain, Arenfel is not naive where his growing frailty is concerned. He recognises that his body is beginning to fail and that his mind is growing more and more out of sorts with his extreme age, but endeavours to hide his fears in order to continue his self-appointed mission.
Family:
- Iriel Silversong:
- His adoptive daughter. Arenfel and his wife took Iriel into their home after finding her as a runaway clinging to the Dalaran sewers in search of food. Over time Arenfel's paternal instincts have become lax enough that he trusts his daughter enough to explore the world, supporting her decision to train as a spellblade and join the Stormwind Regiment. He still fears for her wellbeing, but acknowledges that fear will remain regardless of how safe his daughter makes herself.
- Nazaya "Serpentine":
- His biological daughter. Nazaya and Arenfel were once close and loving, possessing an inseparable bond between father and child. At some point, Nazaya grew distant from her father and began to delve into forbidden arcana. When she revealed herself as a sorcerer-turned-warlock, Arenfel blamed himself for not being a strict enough parent.
Their current relationship is a strange and bloody one, with Arenfel being tasked by the council of six to commit prolicide against his own daughter. He loves the person she once was, but is unsure if he can bring himself to kill her.
Students:
- Crowley Greysmith:
- His first apprentice. Arenfel believes he is bright, intelligent, resourceful and brave. The flip side of that is that he believes Crowley is easily misled, overconfident, materialistic and quick to anger. Though the archmage possesses a deep respect for what his first student has overcome to reach where he is today, he worries that the mage may re-lapse into a darker means of obtaining power.
- Vaell Silvine:
- His second apprentice. A unique and outright bizarre mage, even as a child. Arenfel brought Vaell to Dalaran in the same manner that his own master had done with him, over a century in the past. Arenfel believes that Vaell possesses a deep-rooted potential for grasping the abstract qualities of magic, but worries that what makes him powerful will also be his undoing; he also wishes that the boy didn't pick up his dress sense from high elves.
- Aerain Vierann:
- His third apprentice, and great-nephew. Arenfel has secretly helped his sister and her half-elven offspring hide themselves from the human-supremacist feather they both share, in order to protect her family. In a twist of fate, Arenfel found Aerain - hidden under a glamour without his knowing - working for the Stormwind Regiment. He believes he is bright and driven, but needs to attain more self-confidence before he is ready to achieve greater levels of magedom.
- Simaria Winters:
- A student of Arenfel's, the apprentice to Crowley Greysmith. Arenfel shares a kinship with Simaria, both of them being magi who have had to battle with a troubled past and a deep guilt stemming from it. He does everything he can to try and steer her in the right path, acting like somewhat of a father to her, but worries that she may be growing too powerful too quickly.
Enemies
- Anivitas, The Reaper:
- Arenfel and Anivitas have been able to put aside their differences long enough to achieve a common goal in the past, but despite their previous unison Arenfel cannot find himself agreeing with the night elven Dread Knight. He believes that the master of the Black Hand should attest for his crimes and fear mongering, and that his devotion to a mysterious "cycle" is not enough of an excuse to justify his actions.
