The spark of ideas.
Evening everyone, back again from a long break from the forum. o/
Have you ever caught yourself sitting in your chair, driving a car, laying down in the sofa or listening to music when suddenly.. BOOM! And spark of imagination hits you in your temple and creates an idea? Well I have had that plenty of times, sadly it always ends up showing as either an bad idea or very difficult to accomplish alone.
So this is why I created this, It is a place where you can write one and only one idea in each post, you will have to be descriptive and fill the post with every detail you can come up with, this is also were you can pic up an idea that someone has given up on or help them finalize the project, you will off course have to give credit to the one that gives the idea.
It could be an event like a robbery or giving to the poor, you decide! Its your idea.
My idea was this Topic, everyday there is an spark of ideas in someones heads that craves for attention, care and completion, will you be the one to complete it, or will you lett someone help you out on the idea?
Stay on topic!

Day of the fallen.
Its no secret that in the world we call home there is dead people, so why not honor the dead for once? Hold a celebration in their honor and their sacrifice, the celebration should be held on night time outside Stormwind or perhaps in the cemetery. Lots of food and drinks would be served out and everyone would be invited, this could be sponsored by the King, Disciples, The military or even the citizens of Stormwind.

Would be an idea to of course host a community event at the time of the world event.

But of course, if you're not willing to do it yourself, I'd be happy to assist.

I sense great injustice here! You call us corpses and remind us we are not alive and we are not welcome to your days of the dead as we are not dead.
IDK, then again the brave Sons Lordaeron became undead, the cowards fled and became Lolordaeron RPers and however you measure these things, the Dead of Lordaeron are much cooler and more interesting

Well, they are not scourge anymore either. However you measure it most DKs died in pain and fear for what they believed in.Ixirar/Kavalis wrote:The Death Knights -are- fallen. And that death is celebrated by celebrating the fallen. There's no reason to celebrate what the DKs have become after dying, as it's not a beautiful thing.Lexgrad wrote:I sense great injustice here! Re: The spark of ideas.
Right, since I'm on a break, I might as well start dumping ideas, since I won't be using them myself anytime soon.
Extreme Farming
This event is to be set after the next patch hits.
Some of the corrupted water of the Vale of Eternal Sorrows has bled into the Heartlands and have caused some of the harvest to grow into monsterous creatures. Giant turnips with massive maws, killer-carrots and tentacle-lettuce are just some of the examples. These rogue veggies need to be put down, so the pandaren farmers can harvest them.
A Crack in Time
A group of wanderers gets lost in the caverns of time and slips trough a crack in the wall that is revealed to be a portal to prehistoric times!
OOC move the group to Un'goro crater and treat the entire zone as the Azeroth of Yore. Fight your way to a portal back to your own time trough waves of dinosaurs and other prehistoric perils!
Ice Fishing
Exactly what it sounds like. A relaxing evening of ice fishing in the many icebergs and frozen plateaus that drift around the Borean Tundra and the Howling Fjord. Be sure to dress warmly and bring lots of booze to keep your spirits up!
Could potentially be interrupted by waves of mean Kvaldir and/or territorial tuskar, should the group find a simple fishing event to be too boring.
Siege on the Lost City of Tol'vir
A large band of Neferset remnants have barricaded themselves in the Lost City of Tol'vir! These mean Tol'vir are a thorn in the hindleg of the good pharaoh and need to be put down.
Leave the question as to how the players besiege the city entirely up to their imagination. Are they a small, stealthy group? Have them sneak in and strike at sensetive, critical points! Do you have a larger group with siege weapons? Tear down their walls!
Whichever path you take, in the centre you will be greeted by an angry air elemental who has been revealed to have been behind this recent uprising. Cast this bad breath to the winds to curb the Nefereset rebellion!
The Fountain of Youth
Rumors about a Fountain of Youth in Krasarang reach your ears. After having to fight your way trough the local flavor of Mogu, you will to your horror find out that youth comes at a terrible price: the youth of one will have to be sacrificed for that of the other...
Faux Shen, the Thunder King
Rumors about the ressurection of Lei Shen have started spreading trough Pandaria. Several Mogu warbands have already flocked to the Thunder King's banner, which has been raised aloft in Mogu'shan Palace.
This Lei Shen, however, as an imposter! Using guile and trickery, this Faux Shen, a Mogu of mediocre strength and charisma, has tricked dozen even dumber mogu into following him. How will you dispel this charlatan's budding power? Will you try to trick him into revealing his true self, or will you defeat this Lame King by force?
In the Belly of the Beast
During a routine journey across the sea, your ship is attacked by Naga kidnappers! They drag you under the sea and imprison you in one of their huge leviathan monstrosities. How will you escape activity 10,000 leagues below the sea?
That's all for now. Might post more later

I also recommend getting the [Terrible Turnip] pet for this event.
Feed it some growth biscuits and you have yourself a pretty neat token for a Turnip mob.

A brilliant idea, easy to do and sounds really fun. You can also be unserious on it which makes it even more fun.Thelos wrote:Extreme Farming

Another great idea which sounds fun, it would be a little more complicated then the first one, but if you do it right there should be no problem having fun.Thelos wrote:A Crack in Time

* Saves all of Thelos' ideas. *
I've been thinking about setting up some server events for the horde side, both to propagate the whole "Horde is family" ideal.
Rebellion Black Market.
Rebellion supporters gather at a location to share their trade-skills with one another. There's plenty to do at markets like this, players can have their own little shops, and there'll be a couple of fun little events, like a fortune teller, and a big fellow to beat at arm wrestling. And, of course, lots and lots of Pandaren ale and cuisine.
Grand Gathering of Magic and Mysticism.
The Arcane Conclave's more open-minded little sister. A gathering to have the shamans, mages, warlocks, druids and other users of splendorous magic to come together and talk shop. I would make sure there's an equal part theory-slinging and actual problem-solving to be had.

Tian Tournament
The Tian monastery of the jade forest summons the greatest combatants from across the known world to compete in a grand tournament of strength! Skill! and ass-kicking! taking place over several days, and numerous rounds, this tournament won't be for the light of heart and weak of will. The winner is afforded the title of 'Champion of tian.
How good is -your- Wu'shu?
The Horde Gathering
The Horde gathering makes it triumphant return upon the end of the rebellion and the taking of Orgrimmar. Discussions ranging from politics, war efforts and the future of the horde and all inbetween! a grand moot that could last several days so leaders can organise other events (or try to strangle each other), and while the various horde leaders chat... their followers find things to amuse themselves with, ranging from markets to hunting and such.
Outland/Northrend Expedition
With the fourth war ultimately at an end, the horde and alliance deploy various expeditions to 'safe-guard' their interests across the various continents and worlds they can extend influence too to ensure the supremacy (if slightly toned down in aggression) of their faction.

Territorial Police
Just as Gansters has their teretories, maybe we should do the same with the Regiment and Shields? It would make things very interesting trough politics and such.
The Westfall renegade!
As Westfall has fallen into the state it is now, it is almost strange that they hadn't tried doing anything about it, perhaps it is time for the Westfall people to stand up and do something about it, let them go wild and rebel against the evil Stormwind, soldiers who enters Westfall mysteriously vanish, riots and minor attacks against stormwind such as sabotage, burning down buildings and assassinations against it citizens and soldiers.
Lett them go wild! But nothing major.
Maybe someone is behind it all and is providing them with weapons and bombs, but who? O.o
New Disease.
A strange man/women shows up on the doors of Stormwind only to colapse, her body is covered in blisters and people can confirme it is a new disease, the proffesionalls needs to quickly find a cure for the poor women and find out where she is from so that they can exterminate the disease before it gets any worse, was it spread on perpouse, is there a cure at all and if not, what will you do with the poor diseased people, will you slaughter them all to make sure it doesn't spread?

Resources for Research Running Low!
The Mage's Sanctum in Stormwind is facing a shortage on both manpower and material for their experiments, and reaches out to the public for help. Three research projects underway to improve the understanding and employment of magic within the Alliance are in need of completion, but the magi cannot do it by themselves!
Blood Coral
A deep sea coral found in the abyssal depths of the Vash'jir sea. Studies prove that the hard shell of these in-vertebrae can be used to prolong the effects of arcane enchantment, on substances with low magical conductivity.
In-Character Rewards: A personalised enchantment to all who participate in the finding, made with a small excess of blood coral to increase the duration.
Krasarang Abysswood
Deep in the marshy depths of the Krasarang Wilds grows a submerged "tree", able to withstand immense water pressure and the effects of deep aquatic life. The Mage's Sanctum hypothesizes that using this wood to create magical amplifiers can dramatically increase the power of water-based spellcraft, for mage, druid and shaman alike.
In-Character Rewards: A tool/weapon crafted from Abysswood that dramatically increases the potency of water based combat/magic (Hydromancy, Frost Magic, Aquatic Shapeshifting, Communing with the Water Spirits).
