PLAGUE: In Eversong Woods
Cloaked figures, hunched over, spread out from a small cavern somewhere in a dark blue land. Working silently they slink in and out of the cave, carrying barrels.
By night fall, they reach Eversong Woods from the south. Through the course of the night, the skilled Shadowstalkers move through the settlements of Eversong Woods and begin administering their plague of sickness throughout the land. In the river beds, wells, crops, food banks and grain towers they pour their barrels. Working in the shadows, it is quietly done throughout the whole night of January the 8th.
((Information: This is part of a Cult of Shadow plot which we expect many guilds will become entangled in. We've been premeditating this event and have had a good few preparation sessions for this. Actual players have been involved in every phase up to the idea to do this, creating it, transporting it and administering it. The plague isn't the worst, but we expect it will be a pain in the neck. It will lose effect but work for about a week or so, we imagine.
Areas affected - and it can be contained, or spread. NOTE: This is an edited map, the affected area was reduced.
POINTS ABOUT THE PLAGUE TO NOTE:
It is a disease which causes sickness within a day, blotches the next, and eventually internal organs begin to shut down until about five days after becoming infected when it should kill. It affects breathing, making it difficult as well as blurring vision. Feel free to add your own, it's unpredictable always with plague science! Would be great if people could manipulate it around their own style of RP.
You become affected by digesting it through food, water or blood.
It is contagious, by exchange of saliva or blood.
ANTIDOTE:
Any parties wishing to discuss a cure get in touch
DISCLAIMER: WE are willing to face the consequences should we be discovered for it. THE elves of the area may judge how serious they want to take it. Of course we'd love for people not to, we don't ask much of people, the Cult. But this is one thing we'd love people to react to.

This.. I'll explain my only problem bluntly.
It comes across as a bit of a god emote to simply launch this upon the Sin'Dorei player base without any (clear) previous consultation.
Secondly, are you willing to take the consequences for this in full fury as they come if caught?

Seconded. If a group are found to be Plagueing friendly territory, that group should expect to be disbanded with extreme prejudice.

I agree with this as well. If it was a tiny area and organized with a specific amount of people, there's not harm in that as long as it's contained. But on this large a scale, it definitely seems a bit overpowered as actions/events go.

Re: PLAGUE: In Eversong Woods
Of course we're willing to take the consequences if we are caught. We're experienced roleplayers and that's what we do. This is part of a bigger plot which I don't want to reveal, and is up to the elves how seriously they want to take it.
We've had a good force of about eight active players/characters working on the logistics of this in the past couple of days - that's not tiny, that's more medium sized guild.
As explained, there are explanations for an antidote, all you need to do is whisper me.
This is a good chance to get the guilds of northern Eastern Kingdoms RPing together. Relish it

Re: PLAGUE: In Eversong Woods
I don't think the intent was all that bad. If the general belf roleplaying community disagrees, it can always be ignored, but I suppose it does create some opportunities for RP.
Besides, as he said, it's just the beginning, can't judge quite yet.

Even so it's over such a wast area (That also blocks the path south), need to either be a Mage or have a ship or a wyvern in order to get past that. I wouldn't mind if the area was smaller, but if I'm to take this seriously I feel kinda locked in.

Re: PLAGUE: In Eversong Woods
Perhaps, in order to get a better feel of it, start it off in a small zone, offer the Silvermoon authorities a chance to contain it, then keep letting it expand and keep up co-ordination with the elves.
It would provide for more RP that way in a sense I guess and give it more control from both sides as to how it develops plays it out? Just feels sudden.
Not that I see any bad intent in it at all, it looks really interesting.

You got balls guys, I love this! If people don't want to be part then simply don't... It's not god emoting its RP at its finest. I remember the days Defias was full of this! Thanks for the opurtunity to be a part of this!

I'd suspect that's up to you to decide if your character is or isn't infected?

Death is a bit of a.. strong one to be the final symptom, especially without a cure.

I'm sure that for those not wanting to get involved, that there are plenty of Blood Elves in Eversong that have studied the undead, the scar, the forsaken, plague, etc.

A bit too large scale to be unnoticed don't you think barrels...even if you have skilled henchman in an area were Forsakens don't even set foot on since they help down in the ghostlands....oh well don't really know what to say.

Re: PLAGUE: In Eversong Woods
I see what you mean about the size. That was a first idea, I can alter it to be smaller. I will do that now.
There is a cure, but it would be better to plan who makes it and whatnot - that can be done, definitely. If interested parties who'd look to make a cure could contact me in-game.

Re: PLAGUE: In Eversong Woods
An opportunity for some good RP at the end of tha day lets not take this too serious though, I am sure we are all aware they are not wanting/going/have to kill anyone's charecters. If your charecters drink from the waters, have them notice a strange colour change? Maybe a smell? Investigate it? Enjoy the RP!
Profit!

Re: PLAGUE: In Eversong Woods
I've updated - I originally said there was no KNOWN cure and to get in touch with me about it. But I've made it more clear and updated the original thread.
Anyone wanting to attempt making a cure or to study the virus is to get in touch with me.
