Personality:
A very passionate and loving man, though you wouldn't know it. He cares deeply for the lives of every-one he meets and would do anything to make sure they lived a safe life. He comes across as cold and emotionless, but he still hasn't learnt how to live properly as he truly believes he is only born and bred to fight and die for every-one else. Like his father, he has issues with anger and will take the brutal approach to any-one that threatens life.
History:
-Rae's short family life with his father was a violent one. His father was routinely drunk and would beat his two sons out of anger, perhaps mentally unstable by the loss of his love and the memories of war. He couldn't cope and dumped his two sons at the Orphanage before leaving, perhaps to commit suicide or return to war.
-Rae's brother Tirius fled the Orphanage and went into the thug life while he remained and learnt about the Light from a priestess who would recently visited. He was soon adopted by the priestess along with four other boys.
-The Priestess trained Rae well, but was incredibly cruel. Wanting only the best warriors in her party she would force the young boys to train day and night while living in solitude. She would beat them to make them used to pain, make them hit walls with their fists to strengthen the knuckles, hang them from rope to strengthen the neck and anything else that would ultimately push their bodies to the limit.
-At fourteen he fought against the Orcs at Alterac Valley, it was luck that he managed to kill the large adult male while his four brothers perished. He was rewarded with the gift of the Light and he earnt a small hut in Westfall to live.
- Joined Disciples of Light to learn the virtues and ways of the Light.

Possible criminal record:
- Treason and assisting the horde. (Served 2 years in prison)
- Freeing a dangerous prisoner. (Served 1 month in prison)
Other information:
How he sees himself
- Spoiler:
Rae Wulfgnar sees himself as a beacon of the Light, one with unbreakable faith both mentally and physically. Intimidation is what he favours, he really doesn't want to attack the living so feigns anger to avoid attacking any-one. Justice comes first and if that means putting his friends in jail then he will do so without question.
He believes that because he is a bastard and an orphan child that his worth is meaningless, he doesn't deserve to have the same lives as those that were born from marriage and happy families. He also truly believes that his only purpose in life is to fight and protect the living, no matter who they are. He knows that he is only a servant of the Light and its will, that he must fight to preserve life and ultimately, die for it.
His view on others, especially women, is that they are divine beings because they can create life and deserve the best men to breed with. He views the faithless with pity and will always try to push them to see the greatness of the Light. His view on Arcanists are the same, pity and not hate, to keep them at a distance because they stand on the thin line between sanity and corruption. He is wary of other races, especially Draenei as he still believes they are connected to the Eredar and are not truly pure as they make out they are.
What other characters think of him:
Helmut
- Spoiler:
Helmut regards Wulfgnar as a friend and someone that he can trust. The main reason, however, why he enjoys him is because he always seem to be involved in some drama. Helmut sees him as a likable fool, blinded by his faith and his view of himself as a divine harbringer. As Helmut knows his limitations in physical power he likes to ally himself with brutes like Wulfgnar. He also admires his stubbornness and confrontational skills. As much as he likes Wulfgnar for his charm and nice attitude towards him he dreams of the day when he can bring down the wall around Wulfgnar and use the tension that he has built up around him to make an atomic bomb of scandal. Because he knows that there are, somewhere, some secrets that might be used.
Anivitas
- Spoiler:
A Guardian of the Light. True to purpose, but stubborn in pride. He believes Wulfgnar is misguided in what views as good/evil. And that his devotion to the light is only his second loyalty, his loyalty to his brothers being the strongest. Warranting respect from him, despite Wulfgnars misguided nature.
Anne Shieldheart
- Spoiler:
Her Chaplain, whom she has tremendous amounts of respect for. Anne sees Rae as the very embodyment of Lights Vengeance and faith. His faith strong, his will strong, and his prowness in battle admirable. She wil follow him in battle without question, not only because it is expected of her with Rae being her superior, but more because she trusts his judgememt.
Anne finds her ideals to be very much in line with those of Rae. Sometimes she finds his actions rash, and not thought through, but she understands why he acts as such, and can only finds heself agreeing with the feelings that cause the reaction most of the time.
Anne finds him distant, and his tact with women is.... Well he has no tact. She finds that a shame because she finds herself attracted to him more then to anyone she knows...
Sohan
- Spoiler:
Hot-headed Light-geek. Sohan respects Wulfgnar but thinks that he often acts before thinking, making him a rather predictable and easy target on the battlefield - therefore he would not want to stand side-by-side by this brute paladin.
Beladon Indarys
- Spoiler:
He views Sir Rae as his closest brother. While they do not see eye to eye on methods and Beladon considers him a bit of thuggish brute at times, Rae has supported Beladon through some bad times. He may argue and berate Rae's actions but he never doubts the mans loyalty or drive. The anger Sir Rae exhibits often reminds Beladon of his own past failings, which he fears Rae may fall into.
Lavian Dawson
- Spoiler:
Wulfgnar, oh wulfgnar... She views Wulfgnar first and foremost as a blind asshat with raging capabilities that might aswell start his own catering company like Helmut's a spoonfull of love and instead use his rage to heat his helmet and boil eggs.
On a serious note however she does view Wulfgnar as a blinded proud fool but beneath that she thinks Wulfgnar isn't bad, just set in his ways. She thinks of Wulfgnar as a double bladed sword, sure he is against Clara and tries his damn hardest to seperate Eidan and Lavian's communications but she thinks that his set in his ways self makes a good guardian to Eidan, but does question if Wulfgnar even see's Eidan as undead at all....
She thinks Wulfgnar would become a better person if he just let's go of some of that rage and if need be, she would challenge Wulfgnar openly just to beat some sense into him. She would gladly fight paladins if she must.
Tanalia
- Spoiler:
Tanalia is curious about him. She's never interacted much with him but she's watched him at work. She'd like to get to know him. Especially since those around her seem to think so highly of him.
Kittrina
- Spoiler:
A lot like her brother- a blunt instrument, all righteous wrath and shouting. She sees him has having a touch of a cruel streak and is, overall, rather wary of him; nothing's more dangerous than someone with a big sword who thinks they're in the right.
Shariah
- Spoiler:
A very cheeky paladin! She knows him well and knows how to soften the hard shell that Rae consits of. Although, she believes he can be too harsh on people in general Shariah truly enjoys his rage towards the forsakened and those who dishonour the Light. Good Paladin!
Eldiros Almadros
- Spoiler:
Eldiros sees sir Rae Wulfgnar as an intresting and profitable individual to have as an ally. While he may even agree to a partial degree in the Chaplain's views of the dark arts and their potential danger, the Archmage Believe that Wulfgnar is in the end, nothing but a zealot and a mere piece in a larger game. However, his confidence in the obivious fact of the Wizard's First Rule assures Eldiros that as much more is not to be expected from Wulfgnar or any other (who is apparently not a peer of Eldiros) , he should still be accounted for his potential with the thought that there is hope for the benefit of both sides in a possitive relation and potential Alliance.
Simaria
- Spoiler:
is someone Simmy does not fully understand. At most times she likes him quite well, but she finds his strict views to be silly at most times. But she respects him somewhat none the less. Most of the time she is scared to get on his wrong side, however.
Feral/Blackfall
- Spoiler:
Feral sees Rae as a brother, a confidant. a zealot, a good man. Rae's helped him grow and learn in his life, and has put aside a lot of "law" to help him out; and Feral's sacrificed a great deal (including betraying a friend to their death) to protect Wulfgnar. He thinks Rae sees him as someone to protect and be exasperated at--which is, incidentally, exactly how Feral sees him. Feral believes, however, that if Rae were ever to see him as being truly an enemy, he wouldn't hesitate to do what he thought was right even if that means turning on him. He feels that Rae has come a long way from almost "pure zealot" since he met him, but that he still has some way to go.
Blackfall sees Wulfgnar as a hotheaded man of Light; yet he knows that Rae is willing to sacrifice to save others, and he knows that Wulfgnar is nothing if not tenacious, literally fighting to the death.
Iriel Silversong
- Spoiler:
She respects and adores Wulfgnar, she can easily talk to him and she knows he hears her, most of the time, she is still a bit hurt knowing that his identity to the light makes him forget his close friends, but no matter she will always be at his side to give him support and listen to him if he wishes, she is happy he considers her a sister and she does so too.
Allonia Miral
- Spoiler:
Only met him through having to heal him a couple of times, and passing him among the other DoL members, and is slightly curious about him. No direct dislike.
Eidan Hawke
- Spoiler:
He has a great respect and even fondness for Sir Rae Wulfgnar. Though the man’s stubbornness can prove frustrating, he still admires Rae and is grateful to have earned his trust. He is most impressed by the man’s capacity for kindness, which has in turn won Eidan’s full trust and loyalty.
Vaell Silvine
- Spoiler:
I could take him. One on one, in a fight. Though, I'd have to find a way for him to put his shield aside. And that mace. And that armour. And have him gagged. Perhaps I'll fight him in the nude. On second thought... That man is quite the sausage hounder. He does have splendid facial hair though. I wish he wasn't so pious, religion is so passé.
Thelos
- Spoiler:
Major Sha-threat (Anger). Keep out of Pandaria.
Monrena
- Spoiler:
After a very shaky start monrena at first thought Wulfgnar was nothing more than a brute.. a warrior who liked to bully others and abuse the light, however as time goes on.. the more she learns of wulfgnar.. the more he realizes that he is actualy quite a sad man.. And as such has been trying to subtly cheer him up and help him, thow sadly this has on a few times backfired and landed her in trouble.. she is slowly starting to feel that she may soon be able to call Wuflgnar "friend"

Re: Rae Wulfgnar
Family History
The House of Wulfgnar was a large family, dominated by mostly males, they dedicated their lives to the art of arms and war. They mostly spent their time building and defending Stonewatch keep and tower, letting it become one of the strongest military points in Redridge. With the coming of the Orcs, Stonewatch became vulnerable with its main forces on the front, and when it caught the attention of the Blackrock clan, it was not long before a siege was underway. House Wulfgnar battled fiercely and many were obliterated by the orcs. Only two family members survived and one fled to Stormwind.
House Name: Wulfgnar
Head of House: Gaudin Wulfgnar.
Lands: Wiped out.
Relations with other Houses: Strong with other military houses, knowing they could be relied upon during the invasions of the Orcs.
Crest:
Colours: Red and gold.
Motto: "Hold to the truth."
Family traits:
Family Alignment - Lawful good.
1. Dark hair. Usually Black.
2. Typically blue or green eyes and can appear very white.
3. Quite tanned due to the heat of Redridge.
4. Strength. This has always been important through the family line, they always trained their sons to practice and build muscle to be able to have a great amount of strength. With strength becomes a weakness, the Wulfgnars have a very short temper meaning they get angry or lose it very easily. They also crave fighting, needing to burn off that constant urge to be strong and train.
5. Courage. With courage also comes zeal in whatever they do. Narrow minded in their ambitions, they are never easily swayed off the path they set out to do. Whether it be to build a house, forge a sword or fight a battle. They are never afraid of failure because it simply does not happen, every mistake is a step forward to getting better.
6. Blacksmiths.
7. Builders.

Added the views from this thread http://www.defiasrp.com/t7317-characters-self-view-and-the-view-of-other because I love them all so much! I think they are important to consider in how I portray my character properly!
