A second Ungoro crater (name stolen from this) is overdue. More dinosaurs.

It's pretty much exactly like that. But with teeth.

Wait a minute.
No patch?!
I was so sure it was coming out on the 27th! What sorcery is this?!
Now I just feel foolish for planning the first War of Thunder event tonight. It was supposed to be on launch day...
Oh well. The show must go on.

Patches don't come out before the PvP season ends. You will have to wait about one more week Pao. It ends 5th of March.. So probably the patch will land then.

Re: Mists of Pandaria
I'm gonna make an assumption and say that the servers will be up within 40mins.
Which means in my own desire to log on, like a fucking addict, I'll try to log on every 2 minutes until the server list goes up. When it's finally online I'll wonder why the fuck I'm online on WoW, then stay online staring at a wall, hoping -something- will happen, knowing damn well nothing will.
Fuck my life.

I'll put it this way Copper. Do you have anything better you should be doing?
If no, dgaf. If yes, it's clearly not that important.

Sure I probably have a lot of things I -should- be doing. But do I -want- to do them?
(Well, not a lot, but a small few things.)

Then don't feel guily for not wanting to do shit terrible tiny things, when more fun things are available that are more relevant to your interests.

I don't think you understand me very well Raene. Anyhow, the server's been up for three hours nearly, nice and dandy.

Re: Mists of Pandaria
Maybe I don't, but I've been there trying to beat the server restart to be the first person on when I've had jobs to do. Just meant my lack of interest in other things was lacking, and motivation to do other things was minimally low.
Although it wasn't like they were looming over my head, but I definetly felt guilty about it.

I rather miss the quality from the Ulduar trailer. That was proper feels.

The only way in which the Ulduar trailer had more "quality" was in the facial animation department. Sure it had some fancy tricks but the dialogue that faces had to actually produce was pretty campy. The confrontation between Jaina, Varian, Rhodin and Garrosh/Thrall was painful for me to watch. The amount of times the Ulduar trailer faded to black also really annoyed me -- but that's more of a pet peeve of mine than an actual critisism.
Blizzard has really improved a lot when it comes to cinematics.
In all other aspects I prefered this trailer. It was more sharply cut, the monologue was much more effective and the ammount of exposition you got from this was much more dense. It tells you all you need to know and precisely what the stakes are. The Ulduar trailer didn't really give me any idea as to what I am fighting. Maybe it is because I chiefly role-play a Pandaren, but this trailer actually reminded me again why this conflict is important and has incentisized me to dive head-first into it.
All in all the things that both this trailer, the Ulduar trailer and the trailer from the Black Temple do right is let one of the good guys do the monlogueing. I find trailers for instances where the villain is talking to you a lot less engaging. This way I can actually sympathize with the people that are in danger of being oppressed by the force this instance represents, much more than some elf going "Tempest Keep was merely a setback!"
So yeah. Loved the trailer, can't wait; but then again, I am probably the most biased peron on this forum when it comes to Pandaren/Pandaria lore.

By quality i meant entertainment, not mugshots of encounters. There was too little stuff going on other than the encounters in this trailer.

...eh. I'd take Cho's monologue over Brann any day of the week, but like I said, I am woefully biased.

The Ulduar cinematic is overrated anyway.
Adding diplomacy to my above statement in a ninja-edit:
I'm a huge fan of the Old Gods and the potential they have in wow's story. The Ulduar trailer just didn't cut it for me.

I kind of like the poeticness the monologue has going on.

Although the Wrath of the Lich King cinematic is still the only one that gives me goosebumps. That one is just perfectly executed, and I must say I've always been more of a fan of the icy, Northern theme than the somewhat happy Oriental one. But I suppose I am an ice queen like that

I think this is in part because the actual instance was so good.

Re: Mists of Pandaria
the MoP intro cinematic was on par with the WC3 cinematics.
This, however, didn't make me feel anything.
Each to their own I suppose. But looking at it, and thinking "Yeah, no. It won't be like that." until they showed actual raiders doing shit. But even then I felt Meh over it. Nothing interesting there.
For hyping about the Zandalari, they sure didn't get much spotlight.

Re: Mists of Pandaria
I'm in full agreement. The MoP cinematic was a better trailer for someone who hadn't heard of the game and was looking to get it; even for someone who had heard, it was still visually stunning. The WotLK felt amazing because Arthas was the main antagonist of WC3 and probably the most well known enemy to Warcraft fans. He was the big one and everything was building up to seeing him again! Illidan was his lesser and you knew it would come. If you showed that one to a non-Warcraft fan, they'd probably find it the worst one!Emrys wrote:I kind of like the poeticness the monologue has going on.

It's probably the reason I haven't got into the actual game of WoW since that time.

Re: Mists of Pandaria
I'm still a little iffed that they didn't actually let us have Frostmourne as a Legendary.
I mean, if you'd think there would be any legendary items out there, this would have been it.
Or maybe it's too legendary? Fuff! If Illidan's Glaives and Medivh's Staff are a-okay, Frostmourne should have been fine.

They regretted adding those legendaries afterwards though, or atleast the new staff (Or development team b if you will) that took the original staff's place didn't like it. They simply said that they didn't want to see a thousand Frostmournes around.
Check out this one and let me turn your memories of epicness into memories of humour.Emrys wrote:I kind of like the poeticness the monologue has going on.
