Condemnation of the Advocates of the Dark Arts

Demons cannot enter our world unless they are either summoned by mortal agents or push their way through weak spots in the fabric of reality left by excessive practice of the Arcane. No sane man would ever pursue power and knowledge on megalomaniac scale and with no regard to the wellbeing of others. Corruption of Shadow and Fel is what drives ordinary clerics and mages to madness, and inevitably causes them to call forth demons, rain down destructive magic and wake the dead from their graves.

We must remember that without necromancers, undead would be limited in number to few small haunting in ancient crypts and mass graves. Without warlocks, demonic incursions would not exceed a handful of demons, without fallen sorcerers – there would not even be weak spots for demons to come through! All who practice Fel and Shadow are on a path to madness, their minds and souls are being devoured by these ruinous powers and they will, without fail, turn into monsters who threaten our world.

Using the Dark Arts for good is a lie. Every time a Dark Spell is cast, the Light in the whole universe diminishes in Its glory. The soul of the caster is further eroded and twisted, making him more vulnerable to descend into madness. Yes, the immediate consequences one can see may be good – the Orc charging a village is dead, but the consequences on the greater cosmic scale are horrible. Using the Dark Arts for Good is akin to throwing the foundation stones of your own castle at the besieging enemies. A few foemen may die, but the keep’s fall is imminent.
If we could see the souls of men around us, we would weep at the sight of the souls of warlocks and witches. They are scarred and repulsive, leaking what goodness and humanity is left through rotten wounds and absorbing Demon-lies like a sponge soaks up water. They are growing bloated with pure evil.

Hear, those of you who support and encourage the use of Dark Arts in our military – you encourage poor men and women to eternal damnation and loss of their soul and humanity. You cheer every time their soul is scarred and poisoned. Had you any love for these men and women, you would beg them to put an end to their Dark Magics and seek cleansing through prayer and meditation!

We are merely sinful mortals, although the Ideal Man is so close to the Light that the Light can cleanse any warlock, no matter how corrupt through him…such faithful priests are rare. Sometimes we are faced with a Dark Artist who denies redemption and spurs Light’s aid, and we cannot help him. Vicar Bernard saw one way, one means by which men of simple faith may yet succeed in saving the souls of those fallen mages. The purifying flames of the pyre cleanse the soul of corruption through pain and righteous burning, and the Light may yet assume that soul of a Dark Mage who died in flames. Those who hold any love for their fellow men must be glad when they see a witch-burning, because they see a soul of a sinner granted some chance of redemption instead of facing everlasting torment in the Nether.

I condemn those of you who cheer on the Dark Mages in the Alliance army and encourage them, because you deny them the support they need to turn back from their perilous path. You hate them, and in your hatred you let them fight your wars for you while damning their souls to eternal suffering. I condemn those of you who speak against the witch-burnings, because you must feel glad to see a soul liberated from the path to damnation and given a chance to enjoy Light’s mercy in heaven.

Only one who is gripped by hatred, fear and Shadow will ever permit his fellow human to practice the Dark Arts and damn his soul!

Only one who is desperate and short-sighted would throw the foundation stones of his own keep on the besiegers, only one who is desperate and short-sighted would believe that Dark Magic can be used for good!

((Difference between arguing for something and actually doing it. If they went out and burned an innocent DK then there'd be a problem.

((If people begin to listen to those pamphlets and act as they suggest there will be trouble. Common citisens are already rasist enough (there are npcs complaining about worgens and draenei being invited into Alliance, also we lost hight elves due to this way of thinking). We are in the middle of war, can't have this happening. Do not forget that we have monarchy, not "democracy" (then again, the latter is not about freedom to do whatever you like either). And freedom of speech is a myth anyway. Logically someone with enough power to do so should at least ICly poke the Chapter and remind them they are not the law.
Though I like a good witch hunt and mutual "I'm gonna burn you, you darn heretic " I just want it to be more lore-connected.))
