[IC] Pamphlet : Tolerance is a Sin

This pamphlet lacks pictures and is not glued to walls by robed men (or any men for that matter), instead it lurks patiently in tea-houses, saloons, study-halls and libraries, ready to catch the eye of an unsuspecting visitor.

The Dark Side of Tolerance

Exaltation of tolerance is the Zeitgeist of our time. The Grand Alliance has grown to include races we never even knew existed but a decade ago and Stormwind City has become a magnet not only for old and new races, but also for artists, scholars and preachers who revel in the fusion of cultures and believes. When our King (May he enjoy a long and glorious reign) accepts undead Death Knights as allies and welcomes them to the city, everything seems possible.

Fellow followers of the Light, tolerance is not a virtue – tolerance is a sin.

“Can we tolerate our peasants eating pumpkin,” that line is nonsense because the word tolerance already implies that the object of tolerance is unacceptable or borders on it. Indeed, Lord Wilbur Adderbridge's Great Encyclopaedic Dictionary of the Common Tongue defines tolerance as: the ability or willingness to tolerate the existence of opinions or behaviour that one dislikes or disagrees with. Tolerance is indeed a virtue in domestic situations where one neighbour tolerates the other not painting his shed every year, but in the greater scheme of things tolerance is a sin.

Churches of the Holy Light are the moral guardians who preserve the very soul of humanity against corruption and decay. When Tolerance is shown on matters of Light-inspired morality, it is but an euphemism for apathy and indifference. It takes great faith and courage to stand up to your fellow citizen and explain to him that he is wrong and direct him on the right path. Tolerance is the buzzword of those who shirk from this duty to their fellow man.

Those who espouse this kind of tolerance do not care for the well-being of their fellows. They lack the inner strength and inner goodness to stop and speak out against wrong and preach what is right. Instead, they prefer to walk past...but even in this they are meek and cannot admit their apathy, instead they conceal it behind a good-sounding word that is “tolerance.” In their ignorance, they elevate this “tolerance” to the high pedestal of virtue and worship it like gilded Troll idol!

I urge the people of Stormwind to remember their duty to their fellow citizens and the Light and make a firm stand in this war against moral decay and onslaught of debauchery and wickedness. This creeping corruption will stand not a chance if every citizen is vigilant and is ready to step in, speak against Evil and preach Good. Could Cataclysm has been avoided if every man who considered joining the Hammer was faced by his neighbours who spoke against his silly religious experimentation and reminded him of the great values of our Holy Faith?

Do you have the strength of will and faith to speak against what is Evil and advocate that which is Good?

Remain vigilant and do not fear to accept the responsibility towards your fellow men, the Light will help you carry this burden!

Ariandra stops and stares at a pamphlet as she's on her way to get some books about blacksmithing from the library. She stares blankly at it before uttering a simple "Silly people", then moves along.

Timna, on the other hand, picks it up and reads it thoroughly. She writes over it with big letters: "I WON'T TOLERATE THESE PAMPHLETS OR YOUR ANETHIONEAN BELIEFS". She proceeds to do so with any pamphlets she can find thorough her walk through the city.

((It's incredibly subtle, actually. There's almost literally nothing people wouldn't agree with. Issue is that it is signed with Anethionian signature -FSO- which makes clear what kind of morality and 'good' it works for.))

Awendra somehow get her hands on one of the unaltered pamphlets while at the library, she curiously reads it trough slowly starting to smirk as she does “Wonder if these are the same fanatics, that told me I would be dammed for being a mage”. Awendra shrugs briefly before putting the Pamphlet back and going about her business.

Darragh reads a pamphlet that one of his stewards brought in for him, not an easy task considering his age.
"It warms a old mans heart seeing there are still a few good men and women out there. Tolerance, is a sin.." He seem to be tasting the words of his last sentance.

A pamphlet is loosend and by the wind carried smack right in the face of Drefurion. He grumbles a little, then pulls the pamphlet from his face. The paper dances in his hand so it takes some time for him to read it.

When done he crumbled the pamphlet and tossed it in a puddle. He looked at it for a moment and said, roughly translated, 'Orc shit smeared on paper would convey more wisdom than that." Continueing, after pausing for one of his melo-dramatic sighs: "I have been in this As'dorithal-Nol (A small cavern dug out by Furbolg from a tunnel used as a loo) for too long already."

Explains this how you can be for and against the same thing depending on the questions.
