Re: [A] Natures Grasp
I totally see your point. I would rather have done it somewhere else, exactly because of the guards. But that's where we ran into them, so that's where it happened.Faralan wrote:..In Ratchet were fighting is not allowed. Aren't elves smarter than that?
Stuff does kind of angle towards the more lol-esque rather than IC, from what I've read so far.
I mean who tells themselves "I'll go pick a fight in Horde Territory inside a neutral Inn where fighting the other faction isn't allowed."
But that's me.
Besides, aren't "views" bound to clash in an environment where enemies meet in an artificial (read: goblin-made) state of peace?

If /glare /slap /dropguildbannerinface is clashing views I'd like to see what your idea of lolling is :p

Re: [A] Natures Grasp
That's not clashing views, those are the actions that follow. We were using the limited ingame mechanics in attempt to indicate our will to fight with them, because of one reason or another. If we're supposed to do this in a place where you actually can't hit a person, we have to do with angry looks, which doesn't even sound that OOC to me.Ixirar/Kavalis wrote:If /glare /slap /dropguildbannerinface is clashing views I'd like to see what your idea of lolling is :p
Sure, dropping the guild banner was a bit OOCish, but I blame panic, we were just about to enter a battleground. Terribly sorry!

See, here's the thing. You're not.

Ok, if this is your view, it was duly noted. However, I believe we're allowed to try, despite the difficulties.Ixirar/Kavalis wrote:If we're supposed to do this in a place where you actually can't hit a person,

To address the person who complained about us, I can assure you that our intention was not to lol around and disturb your RP.

Re: [A] Natures Grasp
Well, what Lymsie said. To me it felt like a good RP bar brawl, no intention of anything else. I'll remember to pop on a Horde char next time just to clear things out.
I presume this is settled now?
To Ixirar. Your personal dislike of me is not a secret. Get over it.

This is really really really cute and I'm super flattered. If your self proclaimed high level maturity doesn't extend further than to bullshit comments like this I've got nothing left to say aside from "Just lol.."

Yeah man, it's all good. I just had a strong initial reaction because I did not expect such behavior from NG members, but I've come to realize a little bit better that there's not really much more you could have done, and that we where basically doing the same thing.Shaktaekurte wrote:I presume this is settled now?
Seeing a guild banner just triggers an involuntary ABoC-induced panic attack.

Sorry, I'll refrain from using that in the future. I won't let go of my seat in the Ratchet tavern though!erwtenpeller wrote:Seeing a guild banner just triggers an involuntary ABoC-induced panic attack.

Delidah,
This is an awful way to file a complaint. Whispers, PMs and posts on our forum would have been so much better. These threads are a way of promoting guilds. Negative critique about single incidents or a few players really doesn't belong here. Players new to the realm or those that don't know us that well might very well be getting the impression that NG as a guild represents this.
Disrupting any RP and ganking are both against NG's policies. Yet our members have done both in the past and new members will undoubtedly do so in the future, but as a guild it is pretty clear where we stand on this.
Nothing wrong with telling the NG managment if you see something that should be dealt with. Just think about where and how. It is so easy for disgruntled ex-members, those that have been rejected and so on to jump in and start trolling.

Fucking this. I've seen it happen in like three different threads over the past month or, complaints never used to be dealt with in this way before and it just seems kinda dick-heady as well as inconvenient.Frostfeather wrote:This is an awful way to file a complaint. That thing about not airing your dirty laundry comes to mind.

Re: [A] Natures Grasp
Can we remove or lock this thread? We have two and I think this is quite poisonous to the recruitment of our guild, who we all know take a mature and quite strong stand against spoiling role-play. This definitely isn't the place for this discussion.
Re: [A] Natures Grasp
My mild concerns have been satisfied anyway. I think I just over-reacted because a guild standard triggers an involuntary ABoC-induced blind rage
