Account locked

Guess I know how you feel, Raenmar.

Anyway, my account seems to have been locked due to "suspicious activity" or "attempted account theft", and I can't reset my password until I remember the answer to my security question. An answer, that incidentally is completely unrelated to my question out of old habit.... So uhm... Yeah I might be offline for a while until I figure this out. If anyone could relay this to Siegmund, Therodain (or Derothain) or Kayden, I'd appreciate it greatly. Will try to sort things out after uni and work and stuff.

You can get in quick if you still have the CD-key's from any of your old warcraft boxes, or Diablo3/SW2 boxes.

Can't you mail a Blizzard employee and send your ID to them... that might help.

This be very true. I always thought it was to answer the secret question OR put in those CD keys. But I could be wrong.

Though, I feel the pain of having your account locked randomly. Had the same happen to me a few weeks ago, locked down for suspicious activity and then when I checked, absolutely nothing was wrong. Nobody had seen me online the whole day either. S'just weird.

Yeah done this a few times. Think it's somewhere from here now if you haven't tried this part yet.

or if you dont have cd keys, if acc is on your real name, you can just take pic of your ID and send it to blizz

You dont have to have cd keys of expansions or games also last game time code is accepted as well as a proof that it is your account

Yay, I got banned for "trolling"... again, on Blizzards forums. Seems they just ban people randomly and not for the actual content of their posts. Makes me wonder if they actually know how to do their jobs. Just another 29 days or so until the ban's lifted.

They usually quote the offending post. Please do share it.

It contained the word 'moronic'. They reacted to that when I told someone about them having a really bad idea. I've seen 'professional' trolls write worse things than that with no bans as result, so why go so hard on me?

Quickest way to get it back is to ring them. Thats what i did.

Won't bother, they did one too many mistakes, they did. I will then demand lessened charge on my bills since I won't be using all functions that they "provide" us with. Why should I pay for access to forums as well when I can't post on them since they made the mistake of banning me?

If that doesn't work, they can start by clearing the bans from my accounts (yes, I have two) history or go someplace where the sun doesn't shine. And no, not their mothers' basements.
