[A] Auction of Uldum Artifacts
This announcement is spread throughout Stormwind and Ironforge. It is also sent specifically to the Explorer's League and prominent archeologists
Attention scholars and collectors!
Baron Braiden Arthur Bernard Mistmantle invites you all to an Orphanage Charity Auction in honor of his marriage to Countess Beatrice Ophelia Foxworth.
Refreshments and snacks will be provided to the bidding guests.
Thursday the 28th of June at 20:00 in Petitioner’s Chamber, Stormwind Keep the Uldum Collection containing following items will be put on auction:
[Sketch of several dozen mosaic tiles bearing faint Tol’vir paint and fragments of Tol’vir script]
These tiles have been recovered in the sands north-west of Ramkahen and hold over 61 hieroglyphic characters, without a doubt the wall where they came from will be excavated one day and then these fragments will be paramount to deciphering the whole text.
Bidding starts at 10 gold for all 76 tiles.
[Sketch of an intact Canopic Jar, paint has faded but a band of hieroglyphics runs impressed in the clay around the jar]
This canopic has been found under the altar in the pillaged Temple of the Spring Son (i-phar raay akuth). This jar has never been opened and may contain original Titan Scrolls left to the Tol’vir people during the Titan’s departure from Azeroth.
Bidding starts at 50 gold for the Canopic Jar.
[Sketch of obsidian scarab covered in a shell of gold impressed with hieroglyphic characters]
These five Scarabs bear the inscription of the Breath of Life, the supposed original directive given to the Tol’vir by their titan creators and placed in burial chambers of all prominent Tol’vir after the Curse of the Flesh has taken hold.
Five scarabs are all but identical and are sold independently
Bidding starts at 5 Gold
[Several pages of pottery fragment sketches]
Over 171 fragments of pottery have been discovered in the sands of Uldum, most bear traces of paint and hieroglyphs and may one day fit into place with pieces from other museums and collections. All pieces have come from temple utensils.
Bidding starts at 7.5 gold for all fragments
[Sketch of a golden pectoral depicting a mythic scene of Titans and Tol’vir and running several lines of hieroglyphics from the Tol’vir Sacred Scrolls]
This pectoral is worn by the Tol’vir priests during the 19-annual celebration of Creation of the World and is made of solid gold. (0,84 pounds). This article has great aesthetic value to a collector but would also make a great addition to a museum of an academic institution as well.
Bidding starts at 275 gold for the pectoral (worth 48 gold for its weight in gold)
[Sketch of a pair of filigreed golden bracelets encased with precious gemstones]
These ornamental Tol’vir bracelets are too large for a human arm, but will make a valuable addition to any collection.
Bidding starts at 75 gold for both.

Time for a little auction! Let the people rage and shout numbers as they try to seize up on the goodies. This is more of a social show-off event, also gives thieves a chance to see who bought what and try to steal it at the later date. Inviting dashing prospectors with hats to jump in, seize the relics and shout “IT BELONGS IN A MUSEUM!”
PS: For money-reference. One golden coin is something a poor laborer may earn totally in a year. Not save. But earn. At all. So all of the items are accessible only to rich people.

Placing this auction at the very same time as Ironforge Senate..
Does I detect a hidden agenda, maybe they don't want to many dwarven speculators that could witness this to be stolen goods!

Re: [A] Auction of Uldum Artifacts
We don't want any senators. But I don't see any reason why an dwarf-collector/scholar would prefer to attend Senate over this. Why not? I mean, it is not like THE ENTIRE NATION OF IRONFORGE attends EVERY SINGLE SENATE MEETING?

Re: [A] Auction of Uldum Artifacts
You are absolutely correct on that point Melnerag. And I would never fall in to the cretin-trap of self deluding, imagining speaking for many others. However I personally will choose the Senate over this, as will at least a few other dwarven rp'ers, at least the senators. But since you don't want them, no loss.
But it is a slight shame, since I wanted to participate in this event. The senators too, I believe.
It's a real solid idea and I hope you'll do it again.

I will. But you know, if your senate takes a short time (some are short), you are still welcome to drop by!

Still, it's a good opportunity to chat and socialise - even if one's character doesn't have the coin to buy something, there's always the 'see and be seen' aspect.
