Considering the server is hosted by Nitrous Networks, may I recommend this fix for the problems that have been occurring as of late with the server crashes?

1. Stop your server

2. Go to the file manager

3. Delete the following folders:- Buildcraft, Config, Mods, Redpower

4. Go to the game mods section and now install Tekkit 3.1.2 again

5. Start your server and you should be able to connect

Called MC update. Often servers take a few days to catch up. Either with serversoftware, or with addon/mod updates.

The server seems to be up again, though it asked me to get the Foresty mod, and when I put it into the mods folder in Tekkit, this showed up when I tried to launch the game. https://i.imgur.com/LDcEc.png

Upgrading your tekkit seems to delete the forestry file automatically, I might just have to delete forestry altogether and hope it doesn't bork the map too much.

~~Okay, you will all need to download the latest forestry and rename it as before with a z in front. Also remember to delete your EE file, should work then.~~

Good news everyone! The server is back up and working. Terrible news everyone! Ignore what I said above because I can't get Forestry to work with the latest Tekkit. Just delete it from your mods folder altogether if it's there.

It does work, and you have an OP on the server who would be able to help you get it working again.

I really am sad tho because the server is now just another minecraft server for me, I was there because of the forestry and the endless fascination with cross breeding my bees.

No, it doesn't work. The reason the server was down for so long is that I had forestry on it thinking it would work fine. As soon as I took forestry off it started working again.

Get the Technic Launcher ^_^

Edit! : Oh, and be sure to select the Tekkit mod on the launcher, then just log in, enter server details and gogo. Also make sure you're whitelisted. As for texture packs, most Tekkit uses use SphaxPureBDCraft.

Do this.

The launcher puts an icon on the desktop in which you need to choose Tekkit on the drop down to the left, add your creds and log in.

And now log out.

Do this.

This goes in the tekkit folder, mods section of .techniclauncher.

Click the icon on the desktop to relaunch tekkit.
On the Minecraft screen open texture packs.

Do this.

Add the texture pack to the white screen that has opened. Once added you can close this screen and you will have two texture packs listed, default and Sphax, choose the new one and save/agree etc.

Now go to the multiplayer and add server, give it a name.

Save and log in. When you first log in you will have to be given permission by a moderator/admin. You will spawn on an island, ask to be taken to Gels farm aka the visitors center. Here you need to find the bedroom downstairs and click the bed to set your spawn.

You are on your own after that adventurer, good luck.

That server host is really bad. it seems to be down more often than not, I have be honest here. Though it is usually fixed with a quick restart but you have to be on the ball with it.
