[A] Defias Roleplay

I am making a guild which will serve as a starting area for people that are interested in roleplay. With this guild, I will try to pick up new players that come to the server, taking them into the guild and make guild events on the calendar pointing them to the different events on the server. It can also serve as a gathering spot for peoples alts that have no guild yet and simply wish to be a bit social in guild chat.

As the guild will not be IC, the members are free to seek out their own individual roleplay with no restrictions. The main goal is to get people to leave the guild and become part of real IC guilds on the server. However I will most likely be in need of a few officers to help me out (so if you are interested and have a alt that you don't have a guild for and wish to help bringing in some fresh meat, do prod me!).


It is not all worked out yet, but this is the main idea of the guild. Will make a post on the official forums also naturally in due time (once I've actually gotten the guild up too! Haven't sorted the guild chart yet).

It's a nice thought, but most people (even RPers) who accept guild invites will most likely want something a bit more high level in order to get the experience bonus. If people really want to RP/learn how to RP, they'll do that on their main character/on their own.

A very nice idea, I know Lex did something similar a while back. But I think with the addition of guild levels and perks, you might find it's gonna be like Farelin said sadly.

But with that being said, I wish you the best of luck and really do hope this takes off.

I have to say while I like the idea I don't think it can work.

There's no point in getting the same people involved in a role-playing perk guild, it's better to go out into other perk guilds and actively convert members.

Great idea! Personally was thinking of doing a few lessons for RP once i got things set up.

If the guilds works nicely could add some random rp around.

With all my own unguilded alts, my bf's and already a few members wanting to get involved in RP I don't think it will be much of a problem leveling the guild. I would gladly take in some alts to help out on that front though, as well as some experienced RPers to act as Officers (can also be alts really, since helping the newcommer RPers has no limitation to character).

Once there is a somewhat decent base of players I plan to take them on older raid runs to get them some nice RP gear and such alike, which is also why alts are welcome to join

Either way, the goal isn't to have the players in the guild for a longer period, so the level of the guild I think won't matter The point will be to teach them a bit about roleplay, help them form their character if they want help with that, and then help them finding a roleplay guild that will best fit the way they wish to roleplay

I will most likely have a unguilded character, Vangrel, using it to join a few perk guilds to do some promoting towards the Defias Roleplay guild; saying that if they are interested in getting involved in roleplay they can either contact me or join the guild on a alt
