Re: Tzeentch's Thread of Everchanging Topics
First, though, some big news: The Legend of Korra has just been picked up for 26 additional episodes, which brings the series tally to 52 episodes spread across four books total. It was also revealed that Book Two will be called Spirits and picks up six months after the end of Season 1.
HALLELUJAH, PRAISED BE THE AVATAR!
This series was suppoed to be a mini-series, so I'm thrilled that they decided to milk it.
No, really, I can't have enough of this series. The more episodes, the better!

Also, the next season will be called "Book two: Spirits".
We're expected to see a lot of those. Spirits. Expect a Spirit bad guy.
And the, you know, actual Spirit World.
Or Koh the Facestealer to the power of AWESOME.
Once the entire SDCC panel has been uploaded, I'll be sure to share it with you, Lor.
On a completely unrelated note:
BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAPPP
"What if I told you...Time travel and Matrix?"
Who's getting pumped for the Dark Knight Rises?

He walked around in Örebro during a carneval thingy (lots of people in the city) for like 2-3 hours! We walked behind him and laughed at everyone who turned around after bypassing him. xD

So, the justification is the verse: "Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him". Gee, that's not open to interpretation at all. Hell, it could even mean people who change the teachings of Islam (heretics, so to speak.)

Apostates are meant to be killed, says so in the quran ... or so they taught us in Islamic studies anyways. >.> I actually just checked the quran itself to confirm (googled the relevant verses) and the quran actually doesn't say we should kill apostates, either explicitly or implicitly. I only just began to realize after talking to Ras yesterday just how much of what they taught us in Islamic studies that was supposedly in the quran is just total bs. Sharia law iirc is just the interpretation of a bunch of very old Islamic clerics. I always thought Sharia law was what was relayed in the quran and by Mohammed ... it's so ridiculous just how much bs is in the text books the governments issue to schools here. Probably the Salafi's and Wahhabi's trying to indoctrinate us all
The common view though in all sects of Islam is that the common man is too stupid to understand the quran or Islam, so we should just follow the interpretations of the (old or current) Islamic leaders/scholars and I think that's where the problem lies because they're the fanatics really
And also, that quote "Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him" is a hadith and hadiths in my opinion aren't to be trusted. They're meant to be things Mohammed said but well, they usually go something like "Abdullah heard Mohammed who heard Faisal who heard Fahad who heard Fares who heard blahblahblah who heard the prophet say ..." and most of them were gathered LONG after Mohammed died ... so many hadiths have been discredited over the years and personally I think people give the hadiths more weighting than they deserve. Now I'm starting to ramble :(
and Corleth I like your new forum pic but you try too hard.

Re: Tzeentch's Thread of Everchanging Topics
My facebook is acting quite strange. Lately I've been getting messages from people as if they were in my "close friends" list. That is to say, their messages are coupled with a star and I get a notification when they've posted an update. The thing is - I don't use that list in any way, shape or form.
