I wish I could get something good like the above done. In particular, my proficiency at colouring is shameful.

I've been drawing the characters of my Riddle of Steel game lately, but not sure if I want to post 'em.

Does anyone have any advice for people who are just starting to learn to draw? I've been reading figure drawing books and stuff but they all seem to get straight into drawing the complicated stuff ._. Mostly I've just been doodling people and trying to get the proportions right so far.

doodling is always a good place to start.. i advanced onto large paper and pencils now im on digital pad all i can say is do a google on the sorts of art styles you like for tutorials and practice best I can offer im afraid

yeah thow thankfukly due to monrena geting sickly ill she has started loosing a lot of weight due to being unable to eat without being sick.. but most disciples of Light will see monrena as this large.. only jean-pierre has seen her when she was just "curvy"

I don't know how to start drawing, since I've been drawing for all my life...

The fastest way to improve is to actively seek out tutorials and guides and experiment with and copy a wealth of different styles and techniques. Most important in this process is actively seeking out peers and/or superiors and ask them for serious feedback. Then actually listen to and act upon this feedback.

But the most important thing is that you have fun whilst doing it.

Also, Monrena is a disgusting slob.

Ya I've never posted any wow stuff :p I have ONE portrait of my druid but I can't find it ... oh and my tablet broke :( I'm thinking of buying another cheap 10 euro, I had the genius one before, was so nice

This stuff is all taken from my Fan art/Fiction thread over on the Super MNC forums (which along with this site, Facebook, and YouTube, is in my permanent tabs now xD). So yeah, I went from this on the first page;



then a couple of pages on, I drew a cover for a fan-fic I've been writing


(Doing a crossover with someone doing a series of Assassin dream sequences soon.)
It's still in my very basic style, and I don't know what happened to the background perspective xD

But then basically, my friend EmBox (fat guy from my school who got me into this game) showed me some base work he did for an Assault drawing, and I figured I should give it a go. Also first use of Paint Tool SAI.



Needs better scaling with the body, and I think her right eye is a little 'off'. But thar.
And this game has literally eaten my time now, with the tourney game next Sunday and my exams now finished. Haven't really felt the incentive to play anything else xD

I might try draw Lyniath and such again at some point, but I think I've said before that I've sorta got worn out on fantasy, and it's nice to have a change of pace with giant chickens and bacon.
