I think it's mostly the shoulderpad to the right that could easily be confused for an ear.

Mmyes, 'twas mainly the eyes that did it for me. Considering how I have small yellow-ish eyes for almost all my gobbos probably explains it. Sorta.

But yeah, otherwise he doesn't have any of those glorious goblin parts, like a hella big nose or ears! Though that hairstyle looks pretty swell, could snatch it for goblins!
