this is pissing the fuck out of me. why am I thirsty all the god damn time? I literally drink shit tonnes of water and electrolytes but Im still thirsty all the god damn freaking time and even when I just drunk "normal" amounts of water, I was STILL thirsty all the time and dehydration is one of the main causes of gout too >:[

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that dude. A family member of mine suffers from - and was sectioned for - the same condition. She's out now but hasn't really recovered. I hope your friend does.

From what I know if he is a danger to himself or others he will quickly be sectioned. If that doesnt happen then he will go through the process of diagnosis and then treatment that could be medical, psychological or both. It does not nessessarly mean he will be treated in an instution, quite likely he will get medication and then therepy in hospital or at home, maybe a home visitor.

The most important thing for you to know is it is a good thing, mental illness is no different from any illness, it is just something that happens to some people. Some have dodgy tickers, others get a mental illness. He is on the right path now as people know about it and can start to treat it. It is a road but now a days the treatment is normally v good and there will be an end to it Smile

It's not that bad, I think. When I spoke to him he seemed to be doing fairly normal, but he told about a lot of things at once and started connecting random things and didn't finish things and such, and told me I'd understand everything when I did random things and such...
He seems really confused, but well, there's nothing sure anyway, it may be gone in a week or something.
It's just that this is the first time I experience somthing like this, and it's a bit terrifying...

I hear you dude. But yeah the key thing is as you said "It's not that bad". There wont be any heavy shit by the sounds of it, it will just be treated and eventually overcome Smile

. There is lots they can do these days so I guess take each day as it comes really, wait for specialists to see him and see how the treatment goes. Rembember we hear alot about the worst case scenarios in the media but never about the 99% of cases that are routinely treated.

Dont panic and trust the Doctors and in time I am sure he will get better. Stand by him too cos he will feel worse than you.

The modem at home. It's deffo passed it's "best use" date.
The last few days the connection's been BAD. And getting worse, the status led keeps blinking instead of being solid. And I can't keep anything running for long.
Even skype DCs when it's the only thing running.

Now my real vent; I have an exam on monday, the book I need for that exam was sold out at uni, ordering it from my go to e-store would take me 3 days minimum to get it, so I ordered it from amazon, for money, so I could have it arrive today. It's not fucking here yet D:

Also, lecture about (in part) neuropathology is making me regret the doner sandwhich I just declared would be my dinner. Why are delicious things so bad for you?!
