News to be heard around Orgrimmar:

The Shatterskull Marauders have moved into the town of Ratchet. Having come to very agreeable terms with the local goblins, it'll serve as our base - but more than that, we intend to keep it as a safe and secure port of call for any other Horde visitors.

Though you may have to bring your own booze (Ratchet's innkeeper runs an unaccountably 'dry' house), any such visitors will be welcomed so long as they come in good faith and don't make an unreasonable amount of trouble.

We won't be keeping a strict law like those prissy pinkskins in Silvermoon. Spitting on the roads or the occasional punch-up aren't going to bring out the guards. That said, if you cross us, we might just tie a rock to you and throw you into the bay.

We look forward to welcoming you to the free port of Ratchet.

Greetings!
The Grindhouse Inn is newly formed RP guild and we're still looking for our actual physical tavern spot. Ratched has been one of our choises since it's good place to go for all levels, has it's own atmosphere and is close to Orgrimmar.
So we'd love to hear from you in game to see if we could fit in to Ratchet and help you to strengthen up the RP enviroment. And ofcourse to change the inn to less dry Wink

I'm reasonably happy with the innkeeping lot setting up shop. However, there are some key things that'll need to be borne in mind, and which will probably be subject to IC negotiations. Primarily:

1) The inn is currently doubling as the Marauders' primary bunkroom, so it may be difficult to bar troublesome Marauders from the inn. You'd probably have to talk to our officers to get discipline imposed if needed.

2) I'm inclined to keep Ratchet as a relatively lawless town - real frontier-town mentality. If anyone turns up wanting to impose a formal legal code, they may encounter the aforementioned rope, large rock and one-way diving trip into the bay.

Agreed, it needs to keep some flavour considering it's more a... "questionably" legal town to begin with.

We use one of Ratchets shops as our... 'base' for our merchanting. And by merchanting, I mean black market weaponry and the like. :> Flumiwick is a skilled businessman, while Mori is a top-notch engineer. So you'd no doubt hear about it by passing Goblins just in case you ever need anything!

Grindhouse is built to something that MC Murder Crew started, and our guild story connects to the disappearance of The Crew. So being on the other side of the law is more than familiar and Grindhouse has its plans to keep up some shady bussiness in future too. Tho not as clearly criminal as The Crew's bussiness. We aren't militaristic, political, religious or anything like that. We just want to offer drinks, food, bed and maybe a change to earn few coins for travellers, no matter what their background is.

It would be awesome to share a hub with other guilds so we could get some spontaneous RP happening and meet new people outside the guild OOC:ly and IC:ly. Tho if it feels that we're invading your area and can't get a room to run the inn, we'll keep on searching a spot (we want inn, not only a player run bar so for example being able to give beds or room for our customers is part of our services). We don't want to force anyone to leave their home or change something they have been doing before we've been around.

But maybe we can catch eachother online during this week and have a chat to see if we can fit to The Ratchet with Marauders.

That would be great!

We've currently pretty much spread out to occupy every available corner, but we're happy to start moving out of bits of Ratchet to accommodate returning RPers - even if we may have to 'timeshare' some buildings at times. (Ratchet, and in fact everywhere in WoW, is meant to be much bigger than it's represented in-game anyway.)

Yeah, I hate how Ratchet is supposed to be a bustling port town, and we get a few shacks. Razz

We use the building next to the bank with the two floors! Where the forge thing is. I think it's a forge anyway.

We've mainly meant the inn for hordelings since we don't have any active alliance connections. The Ratchet is neutral area so The Grindhouse people won't shoo alliance away If they come in peace and respect the horde around them. Tho if someone decides to cut your throat open, noone will stand in their way either. Or if they do, it's propably because they don't want to clean the mess Wink Since Marauders is strong in the area, I'd be more concerned about their reactions.

Well, we actually had an Alliance in the inn last night while we were RPing and no one killed her (Apart from one weird accident, but then even the Goblin Bruisers didn't attack the person that accidentally killed her), having said that though she was an OOC player who started dancing with people.

But like I said, Bruisers attack people who fight in the inn which leads to a big mess, so I would say (although im not speaking for the guild here) that no we wouldn't kill people.

Another reason for us not to kill people in Ratchet is as well as the bruisers attacking you, I think you loose rep with Ratchet? Which could lead to the goblins being always hostile?

We dont kill alliance players that comes by Ratchet unless they start it, or unless they troll us, or unless we are drunk, or unless we hit wrong buttons, or unless we feel like it, or unless Thrakha looks the other way, or unless we are drunk, or unless we accidently push over a tauren that lands ontop of the alliance player, or unless we are drunk!

The Marauders currently occupy Ratchet. Alliance can go there - it's a free port, after all. But if you stray outside and you're seen on Horde lands, you may be taking a risk. Some of our more eager members make a sport of hunting those who wander too unwisely.
