[A] April 1st - Opposite Day

So... what is this thread about?

Well, it's quite simple, while quite complex.

I have an idea of a event which would span the time of a entire day. The idea I have in mind, is a mind reversal day, as in, things are completely off the hook. I'm thinking like, the Cartel being the Guards, the Guards being the Cartel, all the Noble houses being hobos, hobos being nobles, Warlocks and Death Knights running the Church, you name it.

This is simple in theory, however it'd require some planning, as well as a proper execution for this to work out. However, I'm laying this out here for people to ponder on, and if you like the idea, which is rather poorly written right now- Please give some feedback on thoughs.

Naturally, this wouldn't be 'canon', as in, it wouldn't affect your characters, it'd be something off the record, something for fun. It'd twist some gears just for the fun of it, to see how things could'a been, had things been different!

Admit, the idea is pretty intruging, isn't it? How would your character be, if he was set in a position the total reverse of his current position?

Now don't diss this because it may seem as "lolrp", it's not, the idea is quite serious. It is to give people a different perspective of their own characters, and for the FUN of it.

Some guidelines you could go by:

- The Light is now a a teaching of heretics, anyone speaking in the name of the light is heavily frowned upon, and is banned in most parts of Azeroth.
- Fel and any sort of Shadow/Unholy magic is considered holy, it is teached out to the masses as the thing to worship
- Death Knights and Paladins have traded places
- Holy Priests and Affli Warlocks/Shadow Priests have switched places
- Desto/Demo Warlocks and Mages have switched places.
- Mighty Warriors are weaklings who are more likely to stab themselves than to harm anyone else with a sword.
- Kind and calm people are eccentric people who sees no greater joy than to be a huge fucking douche
etc etc
Well, you don't have to follow those, but they can certainly aid.


Copper for example will be-
A very renegade guard who sees Killing as the only appropriate method to get rid of anyone, she prefeers killing over talking to anyone, she's also a weakling and a real douche.
A crybaby who's greed overpowers any other emotion. Money, sex, anything that is within her grasp is hers for the taking. Everything belongs to her, and her alone.

She got one child, with Abe the criminal scum, and hates his guts.
She's extremely corrupt and why she's even a guard is at all is illogical at best. She hates people, Gnomeregan, Technology, but loves living in trees and dress in like a whore.
Loves her twin sister which she dated for several years, and hates everyone else in her family.

Is color blind and doesn't understand Gnomish.

Yeah, that about sums it up.

Take some aspects of your character and turn it all on its head for an entire day.

Oh hell yeah then count me in, I've always wanted an excuse to try over the top hammy villain roleplay.

That would be kinda like shrovetide or whatever you call it.. In a way atleast.

Yarnaat would probably end up being an eredar similar to what Thelos said. Antle would be a fucking angel with puppy eyes, Tillie would jump around in a pink dress while singing and Zirien would torture people and plan the return of the Legion. Tini.. I really don't know, I just think that her two personalities would switch places.

Yup, this sounds great. I don't think it will be easy to choose which character to do this with though.. However, playing a guard does sound interesting..

Opposite day DK lore. The Evil cultist Tirion Fordring made his last stand in Lights hope. The Noble Arthas (despite his death he remained a champion of the light) led his fellow fallen paladins to the fight but is felled by Tirion. Mograine does some deus ex machina and Tirion runs to Northrend.

The Death knights return to org/SW and are hugged and cheered by the people. Some years later, Lexgrad through patience and compassion becomes the bishop Lexgrad, bishop of (happiness to the people).

In defence of the Living he has taken a vow to find the Evil Thelos and break down some emotional barriers with a big man hug and some pats on the back.
