Event Try Out Post.

Hello everyone, this is a thread I thought might be useful to this community. Some of us have things, ideas we wanna try out, but don't feel ready to make a big thing out of it. Well this thread is designed to be a place where people post up their ideas and we work together to organize ways to try them out at a basic level. This would be useful in a situation, for example, where you are going to do a big public thing, but you wanna try it out on a smaller scale before hand, perhaps you could even reflect on that try out so you could make tweaks on how it should work.

If it's a story line event, and you don't wanna ruin the story line by spoiling it, then do something similar but with a different self contained story line. So like, say the story line event was a "stealth" themed thing, then you could do a mini try out of a completely different thing which uses the same technical aspects as your story line event. It might be a good idea though, to state that it's story line themed.

I'll be up for doing random try outs on both Horde and Alliance. And yeah, this thread is for both factions.

The Burning Fuel

The Burning Fuel is a Horde side public event, run by Celleste (and the Renegade Cartel once it's up and running). I'm hoping to make these a relatively regular event, where the winners get paid 20g.

It's a race, only mechanical mounts, now with the guild perk system, I'll need to run individual races for people with different mount speeds. It's situated in Azshara, due to the fact there is a massive road there.

The goal is, get to the end first. Pretty basic, but to spice things up I've added in the factor of "bombs". I suggest you get GHI for this, if the case is some of you just really don't want to get it, I'm sure I'll be able to script a macro.

If you get hit by a bomb, then you're out. You each get 5 bomb throws. And I will give them a cool down of about 30 secs. This is for two reasons. If people don't use GHI I can't limit the amount of times you can use the bomb, if I have enough time to tally them, then I'll know if you're cheating or not. But also, it's to avoid everyone blowing the crap out of each other within the first 5 seconds if the race.

The way it works is, the macro or the GHI item, emotes you throwing a bomb at your target, and then rolls between 1-6. If you roll 5 or 6 you hit your target. Anything below and you miss. I'll need help with this, so some one is going to have to watch the race via flight mount. Probably gonna end up being me anyway so I'll have to make a macro which says my target is out. All you have to do is race, and click on your target, then push the macro.

If you fall off the track, then you're out. But if you drive off it when it's at ground level, it doesn't count.

If the case is, that no one survives it to the end due to the death traps, last survivor(s) win.
