Just a note to Faylum - that was a year ago and I naively believed you when you gave all the bullshit about wanting to re-ignite world pvp. I was new on Defias too after all.

You forget to mention I voiced my opinion a number of times about how lame you all looked ganking rp'ers every night and perhaps lay off them and go for better targets, actually arrange some -real- world-pvp. Yeah, THAT was when you kicked me, when I pointed out how weak it made you all look camping people in rp gear.

I also apologised to the rp community at the time about mistakenly believing the bull-shit you gave me. You came across as a real friendly guy, guess I got suckered just as the current person helping you is, as were the officers you bitched about behind their backs.

Nobody minds Vile Thorn. I'm used to being killed by them, the reason we don't mind is because once it happens it won't again until another night or later on. Faylum trying to make us throw Thorn in with the same group as that amazingly fun guild just made me laugh, don't worry Arli :p

Tbh this forum is never going to be some secure paradise. I don't see the point of worrying about what tactics to use or how to combat 'forum infiltration' - they'll find a way to read the boards somehow. This is nothing new.

Yes, it's nice to promote a good ol' RPer solidarity, but in the end the best way to do this is - I think - by ensuring that events in contested areas have pvp ready participants and/or plenty of other RPers to call in if needed.

Getting all excited and worried about it is just feeding the trolls.

Stop raging and get back into the game and just roleplay your stories. We can roleplay where they can't fight. Honestly, in the long run, we have the advantage here.

Every time I see somebody raging about being ganked by so mediocre players, I die a little inside. Really, stop using bad gear in contested zones if you don't want to get fucked over. Transmogrify easily solves this, too.

This thread's very specific purpose was to gather everybody around the fireplace so we could all go be collectively butthurt about a bunch of mediocre PVPers ruining our RP, just saying.

Also, not specific to this thread, but I am personally yet to see a post by you that adresses ABoC or SoN in anything short of epic butthurt-ness.

What my proposal is? REACT TO THEIR PRESENCE. Act as if they are just another legion of hordies ICly. React to their presence. Whenever somewhere turns into a warzone, what's the logical reaction? Write an angry letter to the attackers or ARM THE FUCK UP, evacuate those who can't fight, and then show those attackers what's coming for them?

Now then there's the deal about you not wanting to change where you RP. Well, they are as much in their rights to fight you as you are to stay in Duskwood. I say act as if they're actually there instead of just pretending they're invisible. Sure, you may have your events disrupted by their attacks and will have to evacuate somewhat often, but wtf really, if you need your RP to go as planned everytime you make an event, then perhaps you should consider a switch to singleplayer RPGs.

That's just my opinion on all this, though.
