Blizzard were trying to play parent to two lots of kids.

They won't make anyone happy it seems.

They locked the thread (good), gave a slap to ABoC (good) and reminded everyone of the basics of the PVP flag system (also good).

Name calling, spite filled shit. And no just from the ABoC. Seriously, that's why I skip the official forums. Not that it matters, much.

Because those are the actual policies. There is nothing wrong with what Campers are doing in most cases. Now, harassing people in non-PvP areas is against policy, but attacking people in PvP areas is perfectly within their right.

The Ongoing Harassment policy does not apply on the PvP server when there is a PvP resolution available. Characters have the ability to deal with their conflicts through combat and Game Masters will only involve themselves in extreme circumstances.

You don't have a leg to stand on moaning about them crashing an event, they are well within their right to. Moaning about it will Only make them stronger, just fight back and enjoy the PvP.

The name calling in the videos against Roleplayers is what pisses me off, not the PvP, and those videos and the name calling IS against the policies, moan about that and you will get your justice. Moaning about the PvP will always get you the same response.

I have encountered one annoying trainset spamming member of the guild, and another that was a rogue and killed an ally that was on my back when defending Silvermoon from an alliance raid, so mixed feelings about them, is this guild perhaps a case of some rotten apples spoiling the barrel? Neutral

Maybe, some of them may genuinely just be in for the W-PvP and not to harass RPers. But I'm fairly sure there are guilds out there that do W-PvP and don't include "emote-spamming during RP gatherings, dancing in RP gatherings, general asshattery" in their daily routine.

I've actually Roleplayed with one. Was quite decent, Emrys is right about the Bad apples, including their leader... He's said nothing so far yet he is venting his rage at RPers through YouTube, like a true coward... Orgar was a numpty, the female Belf one is semi numpty but seems to be at least trying to show she's not a 100% twat, Cell's a cool guy and even he face palms at some of his guilds actions. Also, to be fair, they got shunned from the start. Try making a WPvP event with them, clash it out, monthly battles all across the game, that way both sides get the WPvP they desire and they might just back of the Roleplay events, earning mutual respect is only fair.

With that said I still hate them for calling us faggots and Pussies, the word faggot is a 12 year olds argument and the pussy thing... It's just hypocritical.

I'm also upset because everyone made their videos accept me :-(

Well, they do have a past on the server under the name Shadow of Nine, where they did the same thing. Not the W-PvP part, that's OK enough in my books, but the "targetting roleplayers and insulting them" thing, which is not so OK.

That's actually not a half-bad idea, though I'd imagine that a lot of people might be reluctant to have anything to do with them as long as they're known for specifically trying to "ruin" RP. Could be an entirely OOC event, for the PvP's sake, allowing both sides to call in other guilds as well.

If we treat it as a "we got off on the wrong foot" at least it could be the start of a half decent relationship, they can represent the realm for the PvP side of things and us the RP, after all it seems we both have DBs best intentions at heart, well, some of them at least. They aren't all bad just their forum celebz and attention junkies.

Edit: and let's be fair, we got a few bad Forum celebz and attention junkies too. It works both ways and admittedly, I've been adding to it :-/

True, I think it'd be fair to say very few have been entirely willing to accept them to the server and it has shown, and probably fueled their behaviour. I've probably done my own part in that. But it'd be better to atleast give them a shot. Even if it doesn't work out, atleast we can say we tried, before going back to hating their guts.

I have actually received an apology from Faylum regarding what happened at my own event...
But in truth it wasn't too big a deal to me, even in my conversation with him, we were pretty civil, all the same, I imagine it may be difficult to intergrate themselves into the community.
