Doing "Nothing" and hoping it goes away is never the real solution. Just a slack, apathetic one.

As has been said, we all have ignore lists, use em. We can all raise tickets. We can all turn the other cheek I guess, whilst planning further action. Or just battling on like true gentlemen, what what. And women, of course. If women can indeed battle on... go, make some tea woman.

Ok, I joke... but, I like the idea of taking the fight in an RP way. Hits. Multiple hits. For an RP reason. Take them down. Competition.

Take their move here and play it how WE want as a server. How WE want as RPers. And PvPers.

ps. As was also mentioned... there does appear from info going around (though it is potentially misinformation, paranoia follows the Goons) that there is a massive schism in the leadership. Lets hope the Goons splinter. Their main "power" rests in their numbers.

"Report Spam" ignores the player till you logout, without cluttering your ignore list.

And it also files a ticket for them.

Don't, that's what they want. They don't just like ganking people and hearing people cry over getting ganked, they also like a good fight, like we do. Hell, a server that organises a serious counter offensive... that must sound like heaven to them!
Instead, we must make sure that they'll get
a) banned
b) bored

a means that we must report them for every single rp destroying action they take.
b means that we musn't entertain them with some kind of counter action, it means they must feel there isn't any fun to have here. The best would be if they don't know where we are.

Good fight? Entertain? We're talking about ruthless genocide, trust me, they won't like it. They'll regret having chosen this server for their purposes.
Anyway, as we saw countless times relying on the GMs is useless, it's better if we handle this and force them to flee.

In EvE Online they lost 37 Sov's due to a little mistake on their hand, they laughed it off.

From what I heard they didn't quite laugh it off when they got owned and their name taken and everything, but stopped playing EvE more and more.

Someone to dictate and help out in estabilishing a realm wide policy regarding them. Working on it.

What cack. I've seen zero evidence that these are the same kind of people that have tried to lurk the internets under the name of any "goon". If anything, they might as well be fakers and kids who have used the same name as a means of trying to jump on the bandwagon. As someone mentioned before, the /b/ kind of attitude. From what I've seen of them in the trade channel, they're hardly intellectual material. Sort of the Zanazuah-standard, I'd say.

These guys are about as hyped as Spore was. Minus the fuzzy factor.

As far as I know, Blizzard doesn't give a damn about our tickets. If we want to prevent them from ruining our events we need to make their gaming experience the most frustrating possible, and force them to go away. I can assure you that they won't laugh when they will be ganked as soon as they step outside Orgrimmar/Dalaran. The only way to stop guild like this is outclassing them.

Wise words from the Orc (Did I just say that?!) let us wait and see how they act before taking out the pitchforks and torches. Didn't had too much trouble from Blacklisted for a while now and they are top Pvp'ers...maybe those compeditors tear eachother apart in the process?

37 Sov's, huge as it may be, would be nothing to such a large guild. It's like WoW Gold, I would assume. They can still do something, even without Gold. However, if we were to follow and corpse-camp all their members, they can't do a thing. Also, as said, if everyone ignores them and/or outplays them - then we win. Easy as.

Losing Sov in EvE online IS a big deal.

Sov in EvE online is nothing like WoW gold.

If these Goons are the same as the Goon Swarm or whatever, that played EvE online. I have one thing to say.

After speaking to my friend today, who used to play EvE, he told me that the majority of them have little or no skill, their power is in their numbers. So isolate them, hunt them one by one until they call in backup then vanish.

Show that they -are not- welcome but don't fall for their ploy, don't go for equal numbers, don't be honourable, don't be nice, gank the heck outta one of them, then the next one, then the next one.

Show that they're hated until they slowly, in anger, leave the guild. Stop them from getting kicks, blueshield, ignore them. Do whatever you need to make sure that they get bored. Because they will get bored once they see the only action they're getting is from other OOC tards that don't care either way or is from themselves getting ripped to shreds until they log out due to the ganking from the proclaimed "pussy" RPers.

Do -not- play their game, because in that they are the only people that win.

As my beloved bf so nicely put it (and yes he play/played EvE and met these guys quite a few times).

Blacklisted are only interested in high end arena`ing, their priority is to get high in Arenas not grief RPers, the random raids from Vook and Co` are just those stradlers that are socials in Blacklisted and/or are shit at arena`ing. I cannot consider Blacklisted as a threat just cus` they arent set on constantly griefing Rpers like these "Goons" are planning too.

Unfortunatly for them this is not Sporregar where they have build up their shit guild. They come into a strong and organised community. Surely they think they will destroy this realm now, but let us show them how wrong they are when they arrive. After all, i dont think they would expect a unified community and no matter their numbers.. one guild cannot stand against the entire Server. Even people from Brutally Dedicated and other guilds are ready to support us in hunting them down.

They come now, thinking they will have the upper hand. Just like the American forces in Normandy on 6th of June 1944. And unfortunatly for them, they will find themselfs facing a well organised army ready to stop/haul/destroy them on every turn they take. And even if they succede in some of their goals, they will have paid more than they would win from it. The toll will be huge and i for one am ready to set myself on the path of ruining their gameplay to the degree in which they cancel their subscriptions or atleast till` i make them rage to the new milenium.

I know what i'll be doing alot more of, hunting Goons in Icecrown with my brother so we can camp them to oblivion.

And as for Jayse's post. I think that will indeed happen aswell.
