Re: The vent thread
I always felt my wife was better (saner) half of me.
Anyways, this is a vent thread so here goes: I'm getting bloody tired of the overload of work. I like my job, I like to work on my house, I like to work till I'm tired. But I also like to see the pile of work being beaten down by my awesomeness and dedication and right now it seems to grow faster than I can break it down... Despite working till I'm shivering in cold due to exhaustion.
Damnit! I just wasted my 5 min break by ranting.

Re: The vent thread
ARGH. Everything is so FUCKED.
I've spent the last 15 years of my life studying. I even study over saturday and four weeks every fucking summer for the latest 4 years of those. And my parents have the balls to say that "Im not putting enough effort into my studies"? They claim I have issues with gaming. I say that I don't.
1. It's one of the few things I do during days cause I don't have anything better to do.
2. I still live in a diffrent country from the missus so gaming is one of the few things that we can do together when we're not visiting eachother.
3. My friends spend their time gaming aswell, so why should I go out of my house alone? Im not 8 years old anymore, I don't go out and play tag as we used to.
I think the main problem is that my parents grew up diffrently. They see gaming as something abnormal. My dad spent his free time with his friends sailing with these tiny boats they used. I don't live close to a lake and I have no interest in it, so why would I bother? I don't want to spend 24 hours of the day studying.
While at that, Im worried about my studies. My stomach sickness has been fucking with me for the last three years and so have my ADD. I've failed courses so now Im scared that I wont get my grades so I wont be able to graduate. If I don't graduate, I wont be able to apply to the universities in the missus city and I'll have to wait another year to apply to the universities.
Fuck..
Fuck.
Fuck.
FUCK!
FUCK!!

Eowale, your best bet is to try to get your parents understand that games can be both fun and social.
Find a game you think they might enjoy, and let them play while you're with them. A good game, that' quick to get into, and easily enjoyable.

They're only saying those things because they're your parents and they care about you and they want what's best for you
Heck last year, I had a 95% average on my exams and I had missed half the school year and had to catch up with everything by myself and my dad still wasn't pleased. :p
But I'm really sorry to hear about your studies :/ inshallah inshallah inshallah it all goes well!!! *hughughug*

You imply that I should put up with a person 24/7 rather than a couple of weeks at a time...? Dammit. You like punishment I see.

I'm starting to hate administrative law classes with a passion. If only because the professor never tells anything new. This isn't because I've read the administrative law book, but because our general legal sciences class already told us EVERYTHING he is saying. Waste of my precious time.

Good thing about university is that it works without mandatory classes. (Most of the time) So you can choose which classes to skip and where you think you could spend your time on doing something more fruitful!
I often skipped a class that was too easy or where I didn't really learn anything to work on the classes I had more trouble with. (LIKE FUCKING MATH OH MY GOD WHY)

Save up -amount- every month until you have enough. Buy it all at a time.Monrena wrote:I been trying to build a new pc for moths every time I go to order a part i want its there then I go order when i get paid.. and every time.. its out of bloody stock.. every fucking time..
