It depends on what you mean as contagious. Unless you tonguekiss a victim of the plague, you'd probably get it. But, if you just stand next to the victim, I doubt it would spread unless you inhale the gas from the acidic stuff (If the fluid actually hit the victim dead-on).

The CoS have always used something I call lesser and greater blight. Lesser would be as Drustai put it, vomiting, headache and so on. Greater would be acidic that would burn through your flesh and spread through the blood system, hence slowly killing you. What I use as plague (Siegesmith Bomb on Wowhead) is greater plague and the green stuff that we throw on the ground would be lesser. Atleast, that's how I've understand it.

In that case I would suggest that Death Knights are immune to the effects of lesser blight, for the reasons Drustai listed, but suspectible to greater Blight.

As for the specific and detailed effects on your character, regarding length, infection, symptoms, etc; I do not think we will ever have a clear list of effects you can apply to your character. It should be a bit more suble and flexible than that. I suggest you just play with what you feel would make for the most engaging experience for yourself and those roleplaying with you. If you want to go trough near-death bedside drama, then go for it. Such a thing is not unthinkable in this context. If you just want to casually go trough the medical roleplay experience, then just have your character display some mild symptoms. A light cough, some vomiting, a headache, wooziness. The works. As for the duration: just keep sick untill you're sick of it. It is no fun if you have to keep roleplaying something you do not like anymore! So, in other words, treat it as you would treat regular medical roleplay, where you the player decides the severity of your injueiwa and the efficiency of the treatment. And, if you're in a gambling mood, just let the die decide.

EDIT: O wow excellent job with those maps Amaryl. Really loving the tug of war between red and blue there, and the way in which you actually manage to incorperate what is happening in roleplay in those maps. Here's hoping everybody will read this thread regularily so they will be up to snuff! Looking forward to a possible holy water crisis.
