Dréfurion was in Darnassus, not doing much.

Nalira was in Stormwind and watched the Park District being destroyed, after which she grabbed her bow and started franticly shooting away at Deathwing. To do this day she believes she chased him away (no, she doesn't).

Ishap was in Northrend killing the leftover scourge, didnt find out about it until about a month afterward when the first reports filtered in.... went back to killing scourge

Lyniath was in the somehow-completely-unaffected Lordaeron, and didn't much notice.
Lilenath was dead.

Merandil was fighting off elementals in Stormwind with Drustai and Iliira. During a lull in the attacks, they were at the harbour, when they spotted something red on the horizon.

Five minutes later, Drustai was HIDING LIKE A COWARD (/glare) behind Iliira and her shield, while Merandil went running after the giant plated lizard perched on the city, firing every single gun, crossbow and bolt-launcher he had at it.

Merry likes to think he's the reason Deathwing fled Stormwind. But we know better
