This would be very easy and IMO much better than making new races.
Give us 'subraces' for the ones we have. For example:
Human -> Half-Elf (or Half-Orc)
Gnome -> Leper Gnome (or Alliance Goblin)
Night Elf -> High Elf
Dwarf -> Dark Iron and Wildhammer styles
Draenei -> Broken
Worgen -> Gilnean (aka, they already have it)
Orc -> Half-Orc (half-human/half-draenei styles)
Troll -> Berserker troll (the buff ones)
Tauren -> Taunka
Forsaken -> Full skeleton? Forsaken players help me out here.
Blood Elf -> Half-Elf (or full Horde Human?)
Goblin -> Giblin (or Horde Gnome)
Unsure about the Horde ones, I don't really know what you guys want that's similar enough to that race to classify as a subrace.
Although I'd agree with most on this list (it nearly matches mine) I'd rather not have half-Orcs/half-humans,brownskins is enough, but that's just my personal preference. Berserker Troll , Perhaps some redeemed Wretched for Belfs? (I am not too sure on the Lore, don't burn me D:), I'd say give Forsaken something banshee'ish, not the ugly WC3 inspired models but a more ghastly kinds of undead.. Hmm, I'd like this.

Apart from that. Such a list have been very frequent in my head.
Instead of troll berserkers, forest trolls work too - Revantusk tribe.

No.. I am not for this.. Also I'd put High Elfs with humans, just to have them start in the same place.. I just don't see them starting in Teldrassil..

I couldn't really think of anything for Goblins. <.<

Well the idea was just the buff trolls in general. Could be called berserkers, could be called forest trolls, whatever. I just meant the buff model.

The Darkspear trolls are thin, they always will be. Unless they are one of those odd Dire Trolls, whom is mostly commonly known to be created through magic and alike. But I believe (?) that some are born.
To see tons of Dire Trolls is just foolish xD Hence Forest Trolls, whom are larger, is far more fitting.

Then forest trolls is what I meant. I didn't mean the big massive Dire Troll model.

Re: Mists of Pandaria
I am not sure about anything....but if I am to predict the future (at which I fail)
Villain-wise we still have:
-Azshara
-Kil'jaeden
-Sargeras
-The-Old-God-Behind-Deathwing
Blizzard were planning to implement the Abyssal Maw raid in Cataclysm release, but didn't do it. So, just -may be- 4.3 is Abyssal Maw and -may be- it has Azshara.
That means that 4.4 is Deathwing himself. I am not sure about the Old God - he might be in the same raid (Algalon-style?), or he might be an 'emergency raid' akin to Sunwell - or he could be the boss of the new 5-level x-pack. Personally I think he is Algalon-styled boss, because otherwise the story would drag over 2 x-packs, which is weird.
So, that means, that next x-pack must be related to MORE old Gods, to Legion (KJ&Sarge) or something 'new'. MORE Old Gods sounds unreasonable to me (unless a secret Lovercraft lobby has bought blizzard). So yes, I think next x-pack is Legion&Portal Worlds.

I disagree.. In the new book Nozdormu basicly says: "Those Old God dudes.. Yeah they are pretty much behind all whack shit that's going on and has ever happend and that will happen.."
Also, the list of bosses is missing the Infinite Flight leader Nozdormu.. And a few names who are suspected of being bosses in this expansion.. I don't think we're going to get rid of Old Gods by the end of this expansion.. N'zoth (or whatevs) still has to appear.. He might this expansion.. But I personally think they'll need another expansion to wrap this Old God crap up..

I'd personally be willing to do some unspeakable things in order to get nagas as a playable race, no matter how unlikely it is.

Isnt that N'zoth boke the one that lives beneath the sea? With Queen Aszhara (Speculated if I recall correctly) because if so they can drag an expansion out alone just with that. Neptulon etc being an example of a returning figure blah blah.
But to be honest Deathwing will be thig expansions last boss. They've brought back the Zandalari ( Who's island is out in the south seas) Gallywix has knicked off somewhere ( Potential Connections to Undermine/Underlight whatever its called for Horde?)
Kul Tiras is still around and kicking by all accounts just their navy is shot to hell. Meaning a staging ground for Alliance ( If they can tolerate the racism by the Kul Tiras lot) So I doubt they'll kill off an old god in this expansion. There is also that Hour of Twilight crap. It'll be a build up to the end of the world followed up by thrall coming to the rescue last minute after players have done all the hard work. Then bridging into Mists of Pandaria, which by all accords has connections with Nelves ( Since they knicked off when elfies began trying that arcane crap) and Chin has ties with the Bloodhoof lot. So a potential for that to swing either way imho.
As for Naga if it does boil down to Aszhara and olg god whats his nose. Doubt Naga will be playable sorry folk!. But I suppose until Blizz actually say yes this is all true. And release something a little more than a few pieces of artwork and the little lore we have. Not much one can do but hope and pray for blizzard to do right in whatever they have planned /snicker

Re: Mists of Pandaria
good job on summarising that clip added somewhere in this thread x)
Yes, N'zoth is supposedly the Old God with the Naga.. We might get some Naga-related thing stuff (the one raid they announced, the name slipped me, but that hasn't appeared yet.)
I am still saying the Pandaren will be neutral.. They'll want our help and they'll be able to give us something for us to help them, atleast I suppose, we must just be helping them for 'old times sake'.
I do think the Islands will start to play a roll.. I even suspect that the Zandalari (or atleast their leader) has falling to the whispers of the Old Gods.. (this could in fact already be released in this expansion but we'll see)
The Old Gods might even have a gained a foothold in Kul Tiras and Undermine..
Or perhaps not. Anyway let's hope we'll get told more at Blizzcon xD

An island that's essentially an old god, would be epic. All fleshly, tentacles, gooey, teethy.

We've all done the quests in the twilight highlands, and we've all seen enough hentai to know where the game is going.

Probably. I dunno what it is though, i'm not as outraged/over excited for the announcement.. Not like Cataclysm. By now we were told Cairne is kicking the bucket and people were up in arms. I'll theorycraft more when we have details beyond a "leak" as Jesse Cox says MASSIVE quotation marks.

Old, old concept art. Probably for the Master's Glaive, but eh.
Given its become central to WoW's story I've the feeling we'll be stuck with them for a little longer.But I personally think they'll need another expansion to wrap this Old God crap up..

I wonder if there is going to be an Outlands update. It somehow DOES make sense. But it is enormous work. (Redesigning 60-70 experience, AND doing 85-90) Cataclysm was bigger, true, but....
