If she wasn't signed up for beta, though, I doubt she can still get in.

Weekend Beta Testing has ended. Regular beta testing might continue for a few more days/a week but I doubt they will invite any more people to the regular testing.

Re: Anybody else in here looking to try SW TOR when it hits?
After having played beta for close to two weeks now and trying out various classes on both sides (Jedi Guardian, Jedi Sage, Commando, Sith Sorcerer having finished the capital and getting the other core classes past the starting world), I’ll have to say there is fun across the board. Some storylines are entertaining and some really manage to draw you in and you start frothing at your mouth and wishing death and destruction.
I’ll give a few comments on the classes taking voice acting, gameplay and general feel of the storyline (without spoilers).
-Jedi Knight: I played a male Jedi Knight and I found that the voice and acting for the class was spot on. It has that calm and confident quality. It heightens the sensation of being that heroic Jedi that can turn the tides by just stepping onto the scene.
Which is also all what the JK storyline is about. You’re the poster child for the Jedi Order, the Jedi in the spotlight. Very iconic.
JK gameplay is all about the saber combat and it delivers. The moves are beautifully animated and artistic. While you do have a filler attack to build up your focus, combat is very dynamic and I never found myself bored with it.
-Jedi Consular (Sage): The first class I actually rolled because I’ve often been drawn to the caster characters and the wise Jedi Master has always had an appeal to me. As far as voice acting goes, I can’t really say. It felt kind of bland and was a disappointment.
The storyline is slow and takes time to build up. It is definitely for those that are looking for an action adventure but rather to investigate matters and work behind the scenes. I don’t know what I had expected but I found it difficult to get engaged in the storyline of this class.
Gameplay is more of the traditional skill rotation. Dull at first until you start gathering up a bunch of skills around level 10-14. As a Sage you become versatile with ranged damage, one of the few 60 second CC skills in the game and some healing to boot. Also, remember that power Satele Shan uses in the Alderaan cinematic trailer? A huge blast of telekinetic energy? You get that at level 10 and it looks amazing.
-Trooper (Commando): The female trooper gets Jennifer Hale and I don’t think I need to say anything more. Pure quality. As for the male trooper I –think- it is the same voice actor (Brian Bloom) as the one that does Varric Tethras from Dragon Age II, and he does a good job of portraying the resolute Republic trooper, salutes and everything.
I really got drawn into this storyline. With respect the men and women who have been and are in the service, I found it fulfilled the soldier/special forces fantasy and gave a full, atmospheric feeling that made immersion easy. You also get to make some very interesting Light/Dark side decisions.
Gameplay. I picked the Commando advanced class (big gun) and found out that it is not for me. You become a walking tank and get an area spray-and-pray skill but seeing the character run around with, what looks like, a huge vacuum cleaner on his back just rubs me the wrong way. Also the helmets look really camp but that is a moot point since you can choose to hide them.
-Smuggler: I only played this to level 10 but I adored it from the start. The female twi’lek that I played had a voice well-suited for the role and the actor did a very good job of it. It’s strange how in general female voice actors (that I’ve heard) seem better than the male. The one unfortunate thing tied to this class is the voice actor of your first companion. Just… so annoying. I shall quote: “YEE-HAW!”
Before the intro sequence is done you feel motivated and ready to head out with a clear goal in mind. This is not about saving the galaxy or garnering power, this is about you on a personal level. You are out for number one.
From level 1 you have access to some fun skills to play around with and when you’ve gotten the hang of them, you get new ones. Cover system is simple enough and there are a few abilities that you can only use in cover. It also gives a sense of realism instead of just standing in the open and taking blaster shots in the face. Also, at level 10 you can pick the Scoundrel advanced class which lets you use, wait for it…wait for it… a shotgun.
-Sith Warrior: The official accent for Imperials seems to be English RP (if I am to be any judge). Claudia Black from Dragon Age (Morrigan), Stargate SG-1 (Vala Mal Doran) and Farscape (Aeryn Sun) fame voices the female version. The male warrior’s voice actor does a good job of it. Not extraordinary but –good-.
You are the quintessential Sith Apprentice. A warrior steeped in blood and rage, honed by a powerful and cunning master. At the end of the starting planet I felt ready to take on the galaxy and crush everything underneath my boot for the glory of the Emperor and my master. It very much is the Darth Vader fantasy fulfilment.
-Sith Inquisitor (Sorcerer): I went for a female Inquisitor this time and I was delighted. The dialogue is fun, witty and alive and the voice actor (Xanthe Elbrick) does a marvellous job of it. This was enough to sell the class to me and all in all it turned out to be the favourite.
The story is very thematic and adheres to the themes of power behind the throne, schemes within schemes, dark mysteries and betrayal. You start out at the bottom, the lowest of low, and you slowly climb your way up which makes for a very rewarding experience. Oh and you get to use force lightning in cinematics.
The Sith Inquisitor is very much the counterpart of the Jedi Consular when it comes to gameplay. The only real difference are the graphics of the skills, the type of damage they do and what they are called. So it becomes a matter of aesthetics and which side you want to be on.
-Bounty Hunter: The male Bounty Hunter is perfect. A deep, rough voice that is just spot on for a Bounty Hunter. Dialogue is cocky, snarky and has a serious Bad Ass® factor.
It is you against the world. All that you have on your side is your blaster, your ship and a group of disparate characters, everything from an overeager slicer chick in leather to a Jawa named Blizz with a rocket launcher (he is a ranged tank).
I went for the Bad Ass® vibe running through the class and designed my character thereafter. Huge, muscular, bald, facial tattoos and grey, cold eyes. The skills we have seen Boba/Jango Fett use in the movies are all there and I found a great deal of satisfaction of launching mini rockets from my wrist launcher and sending out hails of blaster bolts. At a point in the game I just turned off run and walked slowly forward, sowing death and mayhem around me.
-Imperial Agent: A female Chiss for me this time, voiced by Jo Wyatt (female Hawke from Dragon Age II). Much of the conversation is uptight and formal, especially when you have it delivered in RP. Which fits the bill perfectly. It adds a great deal to the atmosphere of the class and your immersion.
The story is very versatile and takes unexpected turns; it keeps you on your toes. It is one part James Bond, one part early Tom Clancy novel and one part being a servant in an Empire that is ruled by a mystical and tyrannical upper class that is far removed from “normal” people like you.
One big thrill for me was that I get to be a sniper. I actually get to start with the skill Snipe which is lining up a shot behind cover and all but taking anything down with one shot. It shares clear similarities with the Smuggler (the Republic and Empire classes mirror each other pretty much skill/mechanics wise). Apart from sniping and diving into cover, the agent has access to various tricks and gadgets like explosive droids and stealth generators.
In general the game has a stack of smaller issues that can be enervating at times. One such is that your companion has a tendency to run in front of the camera so you end up clicking on it instead of whatever. I think that these will be weeded out after launch in patches and I –guess- that these issues will be all but gone within six months after release.

For those people here who are already using http://www.swtor-rp.com...
What are your account names there? So I can add you as friends.
Also, I recommend keeping a close watch on this topic. It's for coordinating an EU RP-PvE server, rather than RP-PvP, but the only RP-PvP coordination (on the main SWTOR site) has so far been really lacking in numbers--so the RP-PvE "super server" will probably be the best shot for EU RP.
