Just that fact sorta invalidates any argument going towards that gnomes should not be able to be hunters due to size or connection to nature.

Gnomes appreciate good safety standards and have a sense of self-preservation, whereas Goblins prefer to ignore the concept and only rent the latter out when it suits them Wink

In regards to size, Humans, even in real life, have for ages controlled animals (Such as elephants, oxes and sometimes even lions) that are vastly greater in nearly every physical aspect in terms of fighting ability. It's not about the size of a person, it's about the animal believing that you're 'greater' than it (Pack leader, stronger, respected, etc.), and discipline.

There are also, as already mentioned, Goblin Hunters, and there are many examples of 'spirit bonds' and the like ingame, so a WoW character doesn't even have to go through the whole discipline & uprising process.

Also, Gnomes - a race with NPCs using guns all over the shop is incapable of rolling the one class capable of using guns.
